Do not buy from these cowboys……

Do not buy from these cowboys… absolutely disgusting what they have done … spent nearly 600 pound on Smeg stuff … it came unboxed they were all damaged goods that people had returned… the 3 kettles were full of limescale scratched and dirty…. I put water in one just to test for curiosity and it tripped my electricity… The 2 toasters had crumbs in and buttons broken. At no point on the listing or description did it say that these products were used or second hand… the pictures showed a brand new kettle and toaster… I payed 120 pound for a broken toaster, you couldn’t write it absolutelyShocking , when I called to tell them what I had received they were not interested told me that they were sold as seen they were unchecked …. It didn’t state on the listing or description that the products were second hand… Shame on you ripping people off, hopefully my bank will sort it if not I’m stuck with a load of stuff that’s dangerous and fit for the bin , I’ve got a 5 year old delonghi kettle that’s a million times in better condition than the rubbish I have just received, I’m so angry that people can get away with this

Serious warning about Supreme Auctions…

Serious warning about Supreme Auctions on iBidder

I bought items through iBidder from Supreme Auctions and the experience has been dreadful.

I won a dining table with 6 chairs, but only 4 chairs were delivered.

Both the chairs and a cabinet arrived damaged, due to extremely poor packaging (just thin plastic wrap, no protection).

I paid almost £200 for delivery, yet the goods were dumped on a pallet without care.

When I raised this with Supreme Auctions:

They claimed all items are sold “as seen” and refused to help, even though the lot was misdescribed.

I-bidder’s complaints portal only gave me a generic rejection, and when I contacted them directly, they said in a polite way they weren’t interested and claimed they have no liability. But if they’re aware of these issues and still allow such sellers to trade on their platform, then they’re enabling the problem. In my view, that makes them just as responsible as the sellers themselves.

After I persisted, they blocked me from bidding again, citing that I had done a chargeback – which is completely false, as I paid by bank transfer (so chargeback wasn’t even possible).

To make matters worse, today they contacted me about another order, saying: “sorry, we can’t locate the items you won, would you be happy with another set instead?” I asked them to send me an email with photos of the alternative items which i did get. But this is not the products i bid on. So they are advertising products to bid on that they don't even have.

⚠️ Important advice for other buyers:

They claim you can pay by debit card, but they don’t answer the phone within the 1-day payment deadline. This forces most people into bank transfer, leaving you with no protection if something goes wrong.

If you buy, do so as a consumer, not a business – consumers have stronger protection.

Be prepared that if you complain, you may be blocked rather than helped.

I spent £517.08 and have been left with damaged goods, missing items, and now misleading treatment on a separate order. iBidder really needs to review how Supreme Auctions are operating on their platform – as buyers we are left completely exposed.

Paid but never received my items (Update)

I bought and paid for several items through i-bidder, from the auction company International Auctions Ltd, but some of the items never arrived.

I reached out for help, but i-bidder does not take responsibility or provide proper support. It feels like once they get the payment, the customer is left alone to deal with the problem.

It’s unacceptable to pay for products and never receive them. This experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.

Updated Review – Issue Resolved

After my initial review, I was able to get in touch with i-bidder’s support team. They reached out to the seller and helped resolve the issue — I eventually received my missing items.

I appreciate their assistance and the fact that they followed up to make things right.

That said, the process was quite complicated and took a lot of effort on my part. I believe it could be much simpler, as many customers would probably give up before reaching a solution.

Still, I’m updating my rating to reflect that the problem was solved. Thank you to the i-bidder team for the support.

Misleading, dishonest, and zero customer service

I have given Supreme Auctions Limited and Ibidder more than one chance and both times I’ve been left completely ripped off.

The first time I “won” what was advertised as a huge pallet of kids’ toys for over £350. When I collected it, the pallet looked nothing like the picture. Once home, I realised it wasn’t toys at all—it was mostly boxes of religious books, laminate sheets, and pens, with a few random bits thrown in. The pallet wasn’t even full. I complained and heard absolutely nothing back.

Against my better judgement, I gave them another chance. This time I bid on what was described as an assortment of kids’ sand and art sets. Their listing showed around 12 different sets. What arrived today? 100 of the exact same cheap set—the lowest value item they showed in the photos. I paid £112 for what turned out to be a pile of worthless stock.

I have now complained twice, and both times I’ve been ignored. No apology, no solution, no refund. This company is misleading, dishonest, and clearly does not care about its customers.

Save your money. They are not to be trusted.

Misrepresentation Ignored, Buyer Blocked – Avoid i-bidder.com

My recent experience with i-bidder.com has been very disappointing and raises serious concerns about how the platform supports its auctioneers.

I placed a successful bid on a vehicle through i-bidder.com, listed by Richard Maze & Co Auctions. The vehicle was advertised with “Warranted Mileage: 66,678”. After the sale, I obtained the manufacturer’s service history, which proved the vehicle had already exceeded 82,000 miles back in 2018, making the warranted mileage entirely false. The car was also a Category S write-off, yet this was only disclosed in vague wording – “Sadly on the register” – instead of being clearly stated in the main description.

When I raised these issues with Richard Maze & Co, they refused to acknowledge the misrepresentation and instead issued daily revised invoices, adding late fees and storage charges, despite the sale being formally in dispute.

I then raised my concerns with i-bidder.com, but rather than protecting the integrity of their platform, I received an email notifying me that I had been blocked by Richard Maze & Co. i-bidder explained that this is a facility they provide to auctioneers and that my block would be visible to other auctioneers across the network. In effect, instead of investigating a clear case of misrepresentation, the platform enabled the auctioneer to penalise me further.

By allowing auctioneers to misrepresent vehicles and then blocking buyers who challenge them, i-bidder.com risks supporting questionable practices and discouraging transparency. This approach is deeply concerning, and in my view, undermines trust in the platform entirely.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend i-bidder.com and would urge extreme caution when using their services.

Great Service. Do Your Due Diligence and You'll Be Fine

I read around 100 bad reviews before placing a single bid, and my assumption then is my conclusion now -- i-bidder is great, a lot of people just don't do their due diligence.

Auction houses I've had personal experience with so far are Kingsland Auction Services, International Auctions (Huddersfield location), and Castlers Auctions. I had absolutely no issue with any of them and would happily buy from them again. I researched as much as I could about them before bidding, and felt the most confident with Kingsland as they have plenty of Google reviews. They were brilliant. With International, I'd heard that their Accrington location has issues but their Huddersfield one was a lot better. I ordered from their Huddersfield location and can confirm this! Lastly, I'd seen nothing about Castlers but decided that, based on their detailed photographing of lots, the risk was worth it to me. And it was very much worth it! I received everything from them the quickest of the three houses as well.

I've also seen a few auction houses use AI listings, and whilst I've not dealt with any seller that does this, they do make me suspicious. Why wouldn't they just show a real photo if they had the stock? Use your common sense and read reviews where possible. Within TrustPilot you can search by keywords -- use this to your advantage, especially if there's nothing else available to you e.g. a separate website or Google reviews.

Now, to address the common complaint of being charged more after bidding: on literally every single lot there's an underlined piece of text right under where you place a bid that says "Additional fees apply." If you click that, it shows you the commission and VAT that that auction house takes. It doesn't even open a new tab, that's how easy it is. (By the way - if an auction house has their own website, the commission is usually lower than on i-bidder as i-bidder takes a chunk of commission to keep itself running.) The fact that people miss this is astonishing, and it is *not* a reason to criticise i-bidder whatsoever. It's like if you bid on one of the auction houses in Guernsey for example, and then got mad that you had to pay extra VAT on importing it to the mainland UK when those houses state it very clearly in their terms.

Now for the condition/functionality of items. The *vast* majority of stuff on i-bidder is customer returns, liquidation items, etc. With those lots, that means there's a pretty reasonable chance that the item was returned for a good reason, including non-functionality. The auction houses simply can't test every item though. On one of the auctions I bid on, there were 3700 items. Ensuring each of them works, on top of taking detailed photos and writing the listings, would be a huge task, especially when they do multiple lots that size a week, and are literally selling them as untested returns. The reason you can get stuff for so cheap is because of this fact -- the fact it might be broken and just a hunk of plastic and metal.

You also need to consider that, historically, you would go in person to the auction house to inspect each item before buying it. The fact that we can browse items and bid from our phone at home is really, truly wonderful, but it does also bring up this barrier of potentially misleading listings. So, if anything isn't fully detailed (i.e. shows everything from every angle and isn't a stock photo), you need to decide if the risk is worth it to you personally. Or you just straight up need to visit in person, especially for higher value items like cars.

Anyway, to my point. i-bidder is great. I got a ton of good quality stock, and a few things for myself as well, at a really great price. About 5% of the items I received were either incomplete or non-functioning, but I knew that was a risk when I placed my bids and I still made a few quid selling as spares/repairs so I'm not too upset. Especially considering the ROI with everything else, which more than makes up for a couple of duds.

As far as criticisms go, I just wish there was an in-site vetting system for sellers. I think reviews would be the best system but, as is evidenced here, people give negative reviews over their own mistakes. It would really help consumers feel more comfortable with their choices though, in my opinion.

TLDR -- 10/10.
