Easy to use and great for renting stuff out. App obviously takes a cut but insures the rental item so no issues

I need to hire some equipment asap

I need to hire some equipment asap. As I was chatting with a friend, he instroduced Hyglo Rental to me. I gave it a trial and it was perfect. The hire price was great. I can recommend.

Security checks system completely unecessary

Their security checks system is a complete farce. I can't for the life of me understand why they need such extensive checks for 1 days rental of equipment, or so many documents for that matter. Very bizarre

Needed service

Needed service, but very expensive for both the owner of the product and person loaning the product. Hygglo’s service fees should be presented in a more transparent manner.

Excellent peer-to-peer rental

Excellent peer-to-peer rental. The per item cut which Hygglo takes is sizeable but they have honoured my insurance claim when things went wrong.

Would recommend!

Can’t delete account- data harvesting…

Can’t delete account- data harvesting company.

Previously rented items over 2 weeks ago/ no use for platform anymore so wish to delete account. Can’t do it through app so contacted support - keep telling me “ tech team looking into it and busy” 5 DAYS LATER.

Any other company easy to delete your account and personal information with the click of a button. This company however won’t and after a while will refuse to answer your queries in the chat feature in app. Highly concerning and poor practice. Will never ever ever use this company again- and will be telling my friends/ family and colleagues about my poor experience also

Data harvesting and deliberately holding onto information when customers have explicitly stated they no longer want to have an account with them . Shady and unethical

BEWARE! You ARE not Insured!!!!

My loaned equipment was stolen while I was travelling on a train, despite it being kept directly next to me at all times. The company advertises that items are insured, yet they are now attempting to hold me personally liable for the full cost, claiming “negligence.”
The item was not left unattended or unsecured — it was taken from beside me. I reported the theft promptly, yet I have since received over 20 emails requesting repeated and varying pieces of information. It feels less like a genuine claims process and more like an attempt to avoid honouring the insurance coverage stated on their website.
This has been an extremely frustrating experience and, in my view, a very questionable way to handle a legitimate theft claim.
