Very disappointing and misleading…
Very disappointing and misleading experience. I called to ask how much it would cost to restore a sink that was perfectly fine and simply needed to be put back into place. There were no plumbing issues whatsoever.
They told me they needed someone to come and assess the situation. I was **very clear on the phone that I did not want anyone to come if I would have to pay for the visit**. They said they needed to send someone because they were having difficulty understanding me over the phone.
When the technician arrived, he looked at the sink and said the work would cost CHF 300+. I immediately said that was far too expensive and that I did not want to proceed. He then told me I had to pay CHF 80 simply for him coming. I explained again that I had explicitly told the person on the phone **not to send anyone if I would be charged for the visit**.
The actual work took approximately one minute. Since I was put in this position because of the misleading information I had been given over the phone, I couldn't pay on the spot and said I would pay at the end of the month. I also asked them to fix the sink handle, which had come off.
I ended up paying **CHF 324.30 in total**.
80CHF for coming - 220 for the sink with a 8.1 % TVA (?)
For a one-minute job, with no plumbing issue and after explicitly stating that I did not agree to a paid visit, I find this completely unreasonable. The whole experience felt misleading and, frankly, exploitative. Very difficult experience.
