Stole My Money

I ordered a bottle of whisky and thought it was odd when I didn’t receive an email confirmation! Luckily I took a screengrab but I have tried emailing, messaging on Instagram & Facebook & ringing but no response. Should have checked the reviews! Service well below expectation

Service well below expectation.

We have ordered the Gin a few times through the website but on this occasion the service has been well below expectations. It was supposed to be a Christmas present ordered mid December but has never arrived. As per below no response via email etc. Am just about to send a letter registered post! Such a shame as the product is so nice. Come on Hoxton please sort out the problems you have .

Relieved to have finally received it

Update - I received my order today (14/11/24) with a free gift so thank you. It’s still too late as my order was for a birthday present but I appreciate that I have not been “ripped off” and also the reply from Hoxton along with the freebie.

Same as others - I ordered on 27 October with 48 hour delivery and there's still no sign of it. No email or a message to say it's been dispatched or any tracking number. I emailed them to the 2 different email addresses and sent a FB message and haven't had a reply to any!! I tried to use their contact form on their website and got "Your submission failed because of a server error. Have raised a dispute with PayPal but not holding my breath. To say I’m fuming is an understatement!

Some issues but all resolved now.

Don't order through their website! Should have read the reviews before buying. I ordered on their website, received a confirmation email and thanks for your support email, along with a discount code for future purchases... which seems like an optimistic marketing technique for a company that steals your money and ignores your emails. No response from them and no order received. Annoyingly the product is really tasty but I'm now reluctant to invest in any of their products even through another supplier. Very disappointed.

EDIT: a few weeks after my order didn’t arrive Hoxton Spirits have been in touch. And apparently there has been an issue with their system. I have now received my order along with a whole other bottle as an apology.

I have had the same recent experience…

I have had the same recent experience as other customers: order not received and no means of communication - all signs that they have ceased trading but are still representing (via website) that they will fulfil orders. I would not have anything to do with them.

Order hasn't arrived, no reply, no telephone number

I ordered on 20th October with 48 hour delivery. It's now the 28th October and there's still no sign of it. Not even a message to say it's been dispatched or any tracking number. And they don't have any telephone number listed on their website. I emailed them 2 days ago and haven't had a reply. I tried to use their contact form on their website and got "Your submission failed because of a server error". I'm really starting to worry I've been scammed.

Update 8th November: I finally had a reply from them today, saying they had to "temporarily shut down our online store" - but there was no sign of it being shut down when they took my money! They also had the cheek to title the email "Issue resolved" then ask to give them another 7 days for the order to arrive. It's already nearly 3 weeks late! What an absolute joke. Don't go anywhere near these people.

Infuriated and Disappointed

Infuriated and Disappointed
I ordered a bottle of the tropical gin as a birthday gift on 17 October and was given an order number. I’m still waiting on delivery 1 week later, so I decided to contact them just to check when I should expect delivery, as my initial email stated 48hours. I have emailed twice over the past couple of days but have received no acknowledgement or answer. I’ve also tried to message them using their contact form but it kicks me out with an error message. I have tried telephoning on a number I found but when I ring it there is a message that says it does not accept calls from my location. (Scotland)
Is this company still operating? I’m at a loss now on how to go forward. Regretting ordering direct now and wish I’d ordered through a third party which I’ve done previously.

New gin on the shelf

I bought a bottle of Hoxton Tropical gin as I'd heard good things about it from all my gin friends. Delivery was speedy. The bottle is beautiful. The gin is exceptional! The flavours complement each other perfectly. My go to serve is 50ml tropical gin 150ml light Mediterranean tonic

Seasoned gin drinker

I have been drinking gin since the mid-80s and have graduated from the commonplace to the more refined.
At one time I had 12 different bottles in my cupboard. My preference is for spicy and citrussy numbers, so I was interested to try Hoxton’s London gin with grape fruit and ginger flavourings. I wasn’t disappointed. I experimented with a lime garnish for my first glass which was very nice but, when I used a grapefruit slice instead for my second it lifted the gin into the Premier division. It goes into my Highly Recommended category

Incorrect order

Originally ordered on 13th and delivered on 17th. Unfortunately not my order!! Rang on 17th and was told my order would be despatched asap. Still not arrived or any message that it is in the post on 24th. I presume they are trying to locate my original order. Just send a replacement and get the original back at your leisure from wherever you sent it.

Edit: Seems it was the delivery company that got it wrong for the second time. Order reissued on 27th and delivered next day. Not sampled it yet but the bottles look enticing.

I completely appreciate that we've let you down on this occasion, something of course we try to avoid at all costs. We, like most online businesses these days, use a third-party fulfilment provider to reduce costs & help with resources. On this occasion they sent you the incorrect product from another customer of theirs, which we tried to resolve immediately (a replacement was despatched the same day). This appears to have gone missing, the tracking number which they have provided does not show anything. This is a massive fault and something we will investigate internally as our customers satisfaction is paramount - we of course do not want this to happen again. We do very well in general in despatching our orders, which I believe is evident from the existing reviews we do have so I apologise that this hasn't come through this time. As mentioned in my email, please come back to me and we will see what can be done to correct this.

First tried this gin in London

First tried this gin in London. Loved the taste, you can really taste the grapefruit so decided to order a bottle. Excellent service, fast and free delivery. Will definitely be ordering another bottle.

Nice crisp Gin and Tonic

Ordered a bottle of the Dry Gin online after having seen it featured in an email from Nat West Black Ten service. It arrived quickly in excellent packaging, the bottle is attractive and the taste is excellent. It makes a very crisp Gin and Tonic indeed. 👍👍
