Unreliable for home owners. They hold your money back and reject any responsibility if problems with the tenant arise.

I had a good experience renting through HousingAnywhere in Berlin. Everything went smoothly and matched the listing.
The landlord was very helpful and replied quickly to my messages, which made the process easy.
I’m happy with the service and would recommend it.

Housing Anywhere is the worst platform I have ever used. Once the 48-hour moving-in period passed, they completely ignored me. My landlord did not follow what was advertised: he entered the house constantly, restricted the use of rooms and spaces that were listed, made serious false allegations against me, and kicked me out of the house from one day to the next, despite knowing I had no alternative accommodation. I have received no help from Housing Anywhere, and they even told me to stop insisting. I've lost money.

Easy way to find an accommodation.
But some offers are not real .. 2 landlords cancelled my applications bc their rooms were not available (but they were on the website) !
And the rent prices should include taxes.

Would not recommend anyone to book this accommodation. I was charged over €200 for a door that was already faulty, with a lock that appeared to have been glued together and was clearly not in proper condition. I was then met with an unprofessional response after being locked out for hours. The property was old and overpriced, and I was also charged over €130 for a so called cleaning fee despite leaving the room clean. Overall, it feels like they are only interested in taking your money.

Soo much better than other housing platforms. The simple fact that you can actually communicate with the landlord before making a booking really allows you to clear everything up and ensure that you're making the right decision.

I lived in Vienna for six months and I can say, with absolute certainty, that this house was the cornerstone of my unforgettable experience in the city. The location is simply unbeatable — situated in what I consider to be the best district in Vienna, it’s just a stone's throw from the heart of the city, surrounded by an exceptional transport network and a vibrant array of shops, restaurants, and social life.
The apartment itself is a true sanctuary: the rooms are spacious, bright, and fully equipped, ensuring that nothing is missing for your day-to-day comfort. Furthermore, the neighbors are very friendly, creating a welcoming and safe environment from the very first moment.
However, the biggest highlight has to be Markus. More than just a landlord, he proved to be a tireless host of admirable integrity. He was a constant and helpful presence throughout the entire process, showing a genuine readiness to support me through any challenges, long before my arrival and even after my departure. It is rare to find someone so dedicated to the well-being of their tenants. I truly don't have the words to describe how happy I was in this home, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect stay in Vienna!

It's not the second or first floor, it's the third. There are two bathrooms, not one. Many of the lights in the apartment don't work. The extension cords don't work very well. The heating can only be turned on during certain times of the year (Milan regulations, but they could mention this in the apartment description, since it's assumed that people moving into these types of apartments are from outside Italy). Some websites list one price and others another (I paid €800 a month for the room on HousingAnywhere, and on Spotahome, after two months there, my room was listed for €788, without any updates or reservation).
The shower screen doesn't work properly; water leaks, causing the door to get stuck and difficult to open. The shower head was broken when I arrived and they want me to pay the shower head of my deposit.

After leaving a bad review, about the bad service and basically receiving the tenant protection but not doing anything for that, and providing no service (except for chatbots, without saying so, which is against the law). I received the exact same answer to the review twice in a row (ahah, chatbot again...even in answering to reviews). NO help is given, NO human reply to sincere concerns and complaints. Just taking money from people in need that have already been scammed before, and now extra, by this company that has no idea of real customer service apparently.
They should be ashamed.

The platform has no power to mediate with landlords. In my experience, some listings displayed inaccurate rental conditions, or, at the time of the initial contact with the landlord, they imposed arbitrary rental conditions (regarding rental duration, age of the candidate, start date, etc.), making the experience very frustrating. Customer service is powerless to intervene when the advertised conditions are false.
The only added value is the protection offered in case of problems at the time of booking, but otherwise, I'm quite disappointed with the service.

I had a tenant whose rent was 5,500 Swedish crowns and then they withheld the 3,800 something I think it came up to about 69% Commission% Commission Commission
When I contact the them mind you I took a whole day to get someone response and the very and the accuse me of having Born the Tennant so we can go outside their platform I was really company for the ten years because I had sabral houses I will definitely not recommend them re careful in their policies cancellation poses because it using mean what it says they change everything on The Flip of The Switch.

Lost €600. You are far safer booking on Airbnb, Booking.com or through a real estate. I was willing to pay €175 extra for tenant protection fee, but it means absolutely nothing. If anything goes wrong the support side with the landlord. House rules given after payment made which were not the same as description. I read the terms and conditions, but doesn’t matter. Scam company. I paid €600 for a place i will not stay at.
They don’t care about the tenant at all.

Everything was easy and well explained for the self-check in. The house was super clean with everything needed, well connected to the city. Super recommended.

I stayed for a month in Florence, at Filippo's apartment. It is very well situated: near Le Cure, a nice neighborhood and within walking distance from the historical center. The apartment is nice, perfect for staying there for a few weeks.

The apartment was newly renovated, but the kitchen flooded on day two due to a faulty drain, and later toilet too. This triggered renovation works that left me without a toilet for two days, with zero notice from the agency or any response. Everything was fine until something went wrong. After that, calls ignored, messages left on read for days. I was offered paid hotel room on the third day without toilet, after I told them I would hire a lawyer. I was also left without the key to the trash bins outside, getting it after one month of ignored calls and messages. I would never rent through this agency again. They are taking advantage of tenants and do not care about their well-being. Please be more cautious than I was.
