Awful experience. Ordered a corset sizing is wayyyyy off. I am always a xxs/xs there xs was no where near coming together to zip. I asked for a exchange is a small paid for ly own return label. Never got the small or a refund. Never answer emails. Ignore you. Sent over 10 emails. Stole my money. Never got size small or a refund. WORST company if i van give negative stars i would. Never shop here
If I could give House of CB zero stars I would!
After waiting weeks for a dress that I paid £170 for, House of CB packaged up and sent me the wrong size. Once I got home from work and opened the package to find this mistake made, I instantly complained. Only to be told that I had to pay for the return and that I should browse other options on the website, as the dress is now sold out. So I have to pay for a mistake caused by House of CB and then browse the website and have the confidence that they won't mess up again??? Have you ever heard anything more ridiculous in your life? What kind of customer service is this?
I responded to this likely AI-generated email, expressed my frustration and stress as I am now down £170 and without a dress for my work event. I was then told to send pictures of the dress and that this was now being investigated in their warehouse. I was also promised that I would hear back ASAP as they want to sort this for me as soon as possible.
Well, it has now been over a week and I haven't heard anything at all. Genuinely, the most appalling customer service team I have ever had to deal with. Please be aware of this greedy company, they clearly could not care less about their customers at all. I will NEVER purchase from House of CB again, and I strongly advise others to think twice before they do so too.
The order was dispatched promptly and when the size was not correct they managed to organise the exchange in 24 hours including delivery.
The whole time the customer service team were polite, helpful and doing their very best to ensure excellent customer service.
In a world of limited assistance, AI generated replies and a general malaise, this was a really positive experience
I placed an order which I then had to pay £10 to return for an exchange. My exchange hasn’t been delivered, it has taken House of CB 3 weeks to come make to me after investigating further, and they’re now refusing to refund me because the order has been marked as delivered, even though I haven’t received my item. I am now £199 out of pocket, and they’re refusing to do anything about it. Absolutely appalling customer service.
I wish I had seen this before making my order. Normally a size small. Bought 3 dresses in their promo, all in size S. Was unsure about the sizing on one and I went into two stores to see if I could try the dress on but no luck, they didn’t stock it. Decided to order my normal S according to the size chart - the dress arrives and it’s WAY too big and House of CB won’t accept any exchanges because it WAS a sale item (now full price and in stock in xs).
It looks like their sales and promos are just to push as much stock as possible onto a consumer because I fail to see how a no exchange policy is customer focused when the brand is notorious for poor and inconsistent sizing. Likely, by inhibiting returns and exchanges they can clear more of their inventory.
I would be a little more forgiving if they refused just returns but to refuse exchanges when a customer has followed their sizing guide is deplorable. I really liked the dress and wanted to wear but it is of no use to me in the size that they specifically advised.
Very bad customer service, poor quality items, and overpriced. I do not recommend this company at all.
(-)star
Zero or one star would really be too much
This company has nothing to do with big professional warehouses.
Horrible experience and unacceptable customer service. I placed a $1,000+ order based on a clearly advertised delivery window, which has now passed and my items haven’t even shipped.
Customer service refuses to cancel or refund the unshipped portion, hiding behind a “no modifications after order” policy that makes no sense when the order hasn’t entered fulfillment. To make matters worse, I was later told the items were not actually in stock and are supposedly coming from a manufacturer or another warehouse.
So they accepted payment under the impression items were available and would be delivered by a certain date, when in reality they weren’t even on hand. That’s misleading at best.
If you advertise delivery timelines and take payment, you should be able to fulfill the order or cancel it when you can’t. I would not recommend ordering from this company if you need your items by a specific date or expect transparent business practices.
Bought the Romy, Countess, and Raquel dresses from House of CB during its 3-for-180 sale.
Pros: They are all so pretty! The fabrics are heavy and of high quality.
The dresses are true to size, form-fitting at the waist without being constricting. I reached out to customer service via Instagram to confirm my size and they were responsive. Recommend to refer to the size chart for the exact measurements in cm/in. If you wish for more room for movement, better to size up.
They were shipped and delivered within the given window.
Cons: The Countess dress is rather difficult to zip up, even when not worn. For the Raquel dress, the sleeves sit awkwardly on the shoulders as they are too big. I would have to fold them and wear them off-shoulder instead.
As they are sale items, I received the dresses in brown eco-packaging. For a first-time customer, the signature box would have added to a lovely shopping experience.
great experience shopping with house of cb.
I’ve had an absolutely terrible experience with this company and feel compelled to share it. I ordered two dresses nearly two weeks ago, and one of them — the mini Lucienne dress — arrived faulty, with visible rips in the lace. I contacted customer service immediately and provided clear photos showing the damage and that the dress was unworn (the tags and ribbon were still attached).
Despite giving them all the evidence from the start, I was told I needed to “send it back for inspection,” and no replacement was offered for days. When they finally agreed to send a replacement, another team member emailed asking for the same evidence I’d already sent a week earlier. The communication has been completely inconsistent and honestly shocking.
As of now, a replacement still hasn’t been dispatched, even though I stressed the urgency multiple times because I needed the dress for special occasions. I haven’t heard from the team in over 30 hours.
This has been one of the most frustrating and unprofessional customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I would strongly advise caution when ordering, as resolving even a simple issue seems to be made unnecessarily difficult
I bought 3 dresses in a deal with the website stating non refundable. So I understood if it didn’t fit it was my fault, though when they arrived one of the dresses were completely see through which was not advertised. I emailed to ask if it was faulty and told I should have known this a it was made with a mesh fabric. Though the image and description didn’t say anuthinf about it being see through. There is no way I can wear it and they are being rude suggesting it is my fault and they won’t give me any sort of refund even store credit for their mistake. I thought I was paying for quality but obviously not.
Awful company, product and service!
They shipped me a stiff polyester dress with a broken zipper, and when I reported the defect, they told me to pay out of my own pocket to return it. They promised to reimburse me only if their own “inspection” showed defects, and so now that they have item back, they’re claiming item is not faulty to deny paying me! They apparently pull this bait and switch regularly, read other customer reviews detailing this same exact experience.
I'm just so disappointed, my parcel was rejected twice by the DPD drop off, now it's heading back the House of CB warehouse, I haven't heard back on when or if they are going to try and deliver this again. I understand it's also DPD's fault but the communication needs to be much better. This is an expensive item as well as a wedding dress that I really want to try on! :(
Ordered a dress listed a true to size. By measurements of their size chart I am an XS. However I purchase the size small. I have several dresses from this brand in a size small already. The RAISA in colour wine dress arrived and I could not get the zip up. I measured it against the other dresses I have from them and it’s a full two inches narrower across the body. I have contacted them 3 times since Friday with photographic proof of the size difference and nobody has responded. I do not see why I have to pay return costs when it is information on their website that is grossly misleading. I have measured and consulted their size chart and I have purchased the same size in dresses multiple times so they cannot suggest it is an issue on my end. Which is pretty evident by the lack of response. Not only will I now be out of pocket but the event I was meant to attend on Saturday was ruined because I had no suitable attire. I even went into store on the morning of the event to try to get the next size up only to find they don’t stock the wine colour. Extremely let down and disappointed and as far as customer service. It’s non existent
Houseofcb refuse to take accountability for mistakes, they refuse to provide remedies for mistakes they have made, and refuse to act in a manner that aligns with current consumer laws. Within my interaction with them, they breached several Australian consumer laws, however did not acknowledge any of this. It is so incredibly disappointing for such a 'luxury', well known company. They also have the most frustrating customer service to deal with - it's like talking to AI, and it feels like they do not care nor read your emails. Additionally, I have found the sizing charts to be off - both of my previous purchases have been off size, despite them being very clear NOT to size up. Further, their website is not transparent and does not provide customers with all information needed to make an informed purchase.
Overall, I have found houseofcb to be unethical, inconsiderate, blasé, and downright difficult.
Customer service is slow, uncooperative and even reacts sassy to constructive criticism (via Facebook messenger). I have never experienced something like this from a so-called "luxury brand". The parcel should've been stopped, instead it was sent out and the customer service only replied 1h after it was sent out, even though it would arrive too late. In more than 5 days nobody requested a return to sender even though it was offered to me. I wanted to refuse the parcel but it was laid onto my porch carelessly so this option was not possible either. To my disappointment I couldn't even gift it to my sister as it arrived damaged and without the gift packaging. Now I'm supposed to return it on my cost. Make it make sense! Once my gift card is used up, this will be the last time I ordered there. I love my two dresses I got from them in the past, but the customer service makes me refuse to order in the future.
Purchased a dress for a special evening. The Birthday bandage dress. Getting ready at my friends, when I put the dress on the seams around the neckline just began to open. As I was not at home I had to try and use a sticky bra and tit tape to keep the neck line together. I raised this house of CB they offered for me to return the dress which is what I did. I stated it was a refund a wanted as I did not trust the quality of the dress. I have now received an update from house of CB simply offering to repair their poorly made dress. Awful quality on an expensive dress and awful customer service. I am a long standing customer of house of CB. Loyalty and brand promotion clearly means nothing. They then offered to send me back my faulty dress free of charge like they are doing me a favour. Insulting and outright rude
Dress comes after a week. Sizing way off. Sleeves so small only pipe can fit into that. Zip is impossible. Been emailing customer service back and forth since last Tuesday. They reply after 24 hrs always different staff and asking same questions over and over again. I have to send video to multiple staffs, measurements and all. No resolution. I don’t think they have good intention to accept return or refund at all. Don’t buy from this company. Poor quality, poor customer services and overpriced dress. Take your business elsewhere. I’ll give negative star if I can.
The WORST company ever. Their sizing chart is absolute garbage, they say the model is wearing size XS but she’s not.
I ordered a dress in size XS and couldn’t even zip it up. I had to return the dress for my OWN money, when I said I want to get the dress again if they have a discount they literally said no. So I returned the dress on the 23rd it’s now the 5th of December and I still don’t have mr refund.
Don’t waste your time with this company.
Had an issue with the item appearing damaged. I told House of CB about this and requested a full refund, and postage compensated for this issue.
Despite it being a sale item they did comply and it went smoothly so I would recommend them to others as their CS was very good.
