Parking and self-service Check-in is DRAMA

Parking and self-service Check-in is BIG DRAMA. No-staff available on-site after 15.00 / 3 PM and support phone no. is hard to find/not corresponding in mail with on-site. Email confirmations from bookingsites or YARD does not mention this in detail. Neither in YARD mails, on how to enter the parking garage (or its price 19euro per night - too expensive) or the support phone no. neither mentioning hat Self Check-in is (likely) not possible before one does Self-Chek-in online. This I found out, due that as at arrival it does not recognize your booking, confusing first and last name, no QR code, etc.

Without help from other guests or support, its likely one stays outside the garage and hotel, sure one wastes an hour. The later one arrives, the more one is lost. Who needs this, exhausted at 9 or 11 PM with family?

PS: I was not the only one with issues and delays, guests entering later had exactly same issues. Finally after calling the helpdesk, now a security/staff person came out of his bed? to do the thing.

The hotel itselves is very okay, new, clean, comfortable. The amenities at the self service bar are very expensive.

Needless to stay that "the unmanned" hotel concept is another one of the countless variety of Dutch booking sites [the Booker site, Netherlands], big profit dream, but is a guests nightmare.

Complaint Regarding Wyndham Garden Koblenz

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent stay at Wyndham Garden Koblenz

During my stay, I encountered several issues that I believe should be addressed:

Undisclosed Parking Fees: We were charged a parking fee despite there being no mention of this cost during the booking process. The hotel is located in a very isolated area with no alternative parking options nearby, leaving us no choice but to park on the property. This lack of transparency feels misleading and unfair.

Extremely Small Bed: The bed provided was uncomfortably small for two adults. Again, there was no information about the bed size on the booking page, which led to a disappointing and restless night.

As for your experience in/at the hotel: parkingcosts are mentioned in 'Hoteleinrichtungen'. Furthermore, you booked for a budgetroom. There are pictures on the website of what a room could/would look like (including the bed). I am sorry this wasn't clear. Reservation done and cancelation done a few hours later...

reservation done in a hotel in Austria and when I asked if we could have dinner, they've canceled the complete hotel reservation - apparently no room available any more...

It is so bad and too expensive

It is so bad and too expensive. I thought they took 113€ per night. Instead they took 160€. What a scam hotel. I am very disappointed.

I booked a stay in Germany with…

I booked a stay in Germany with HotelSpecials.de and everything was fine. I payed a booking fee during resrvation and the rest of the due amount I payed at the hotel. HotelSpecials always has good discounts and I will surely book again through them!

One word summary: Appaling!

Appaling, appaling, appaling!!! This website might be alright for straightforward bookings but as soon as problems arise that play havoc with your travel plans (Corona, for example) you are on your own. There is no support at all: When you call the customer service number you get a voicemail saying that no calls at all are taken, only emails will be replied to. And when you send an email it remains unanswered. Tough luck if you lose your money as a result of it. HotelSpecial has its commission, that's all it cares about. Customer service at its worse. Do yourself a favour and book with a reputable website, like Expedia or booking.com, where you know you will get customer service should things gets pear shaped. This was my first and certainly last booking with HotelSpecials. Also please be aware that the website BungalowSpecials belongs to the same company!

After publishing the Trustpilot review about the shoddy customer service provided by HotelSpecials the company posted a reply here but my email to its "customer service" still remains unanswered. I was after a refund, but HotelSpecial did not reply to my emails and does not answer telephone calls prior to my booked stay. As a pure gesture of goodwill the hotel let me change the booking to a date in the future as otherwise the money would have been lost, because any changes to the booking or refunds had to be done PRIOR to the stay and HotelSpecials did nothing. Okay HotelSpecials, get me my money back!
