Due to a family bereavement we were unable to book into our hotel in ten days time as the funeral was taking place.We requested a chage of date to the folowing friday after the funeral and were told by Kelly that this was not posible due to when booking not apparently not opting for cancellation or change of booking that i waas not aware off Shocking customer service

Information is misleading. It makes you think this card would work on Expedia, but it DOES NOT. You have to use it in their own website.

Less choice, higher price and a non working booking site.
You get a fraction of the choice of hotels available. They're way more expensive. And last but not least, when booking a room there are many things to choose like parking or breakfast. You pay for these. But than after you've booked and payed none of these are on your confirmation. So I'm paying an enormous amount for less than I'd get on any other site. It's NOT worth it.

Don't buy their giftcards, they are useless.
I received a 40 EUR giftcard. But It's cheaper to book a room directly at the hotel without this useless company with their 20 EUR Partner service fee. They can put that giftcard.....So if you want to surprise somebody just skip this website.

The website is very poor and the hotels are 23% overpriced based on my example
The website is very poor. A hotel I found two weeks ago on the same website couldn't be found on the map and I had to type in the nearest town it recognised to find it again. The map interaction is appalling, it's like using a website from 2005 not 2025. The hotels are significantly overpriced, charged me £601 for an identical stay, (and i mean identical, dates, breakfast, room,everything) I could have got for £483 direct. A £500 retirement holiday voucher from my company has somewhat lost it's shine. Expedia you should be ashamed of yourselves for such a poor website and customer experience.

I wrote a review a couple of days ago and stated that the hotels available on their website were at least £100 more expensive than other hotel booking sites.....as you can see they have questioned the validity of my statement!
Well let me be more accurate....I booked a three night stay in Verona in Sept and payed £600. The same accommodation on the same date was £775 on hotelgiftcard.com! I don't appreciate the challenge!
My son had saved hard for a year to buy us the voucher 😡

Overpriced and Disappointing - Avoid This Gift Card
I received a €100 gift card for Hotelgiftcard.com as a present from my grandmother, but I was shocked to discover how overpriced their offerings are. Even with the €100 discount, the prices on their platform are still higher compared to booking directly with the hotels without the €100 discount. For the same room, booking through the hotel’s website was not only cheaper but also more straightforward.
This made the gift card feel completely useless and honestly very disappointing. What’s the point of a gift card if it doesn’t actually provide any value? Hotelgiftcard.com is a letdown and is a rip-off. I cannot recommend it to anyone.
