They offer a gift for $1.95 but then…

They offer a gift for $1.95 but then you won't know that they have subscribed you to their club charging you $49 each month. I think my wife did something with some kind of online game or what that she doesn't even remember what it was in Dec 2020; then they started charging our credit card monthly for $49 since Jan 2021 till now. I just accidentally found the monthly charge recently and emailed them to unsubscribe and refund, but the only thing they can do was to send me all the gift card code we "bought" monthly. After reading all the recent comments, I know that they won't deliver even if we use the gift cards to buy things from them. We decided to stop the credit card and talk to our bank about any possible action that we can take.

MORE LIKE THE DISHONEST KISS COMPANY

A friend sent me a link for a free gift box. I followed it and filled in my information. The last step on the form was a request for a utility bill in my name and ID. At this point, I became uncomfortable and cancelled the transaction. I backed out the page and closed the window. I DID NOT FINALIZE THE FORM. I DID NOT CLICK SUBMIT OR CLICK OK. But, it was TOO LATE and they already had my Visa information so I was screwed. This has never happened to me before online. Apparently, at this point on the form they have already taken the liberty to subscribe you to a monthly gift card subscription!!!!! I DID NOT SELECT A SUBSCRIPTION. I DID NOT OK A SUBSCRIPTION. IT WAS AUTOMATICALLY SELECTED and OK'D for me. So, I came for a free gift box and what I got was a subscription that I DID NOT sign up for. Let me be clear, I am very tech savvy and spend a lot of time online. I am not a vulnerable internet user. So, I strongly believe they are doing this on purpose and taking advantage of hard working people. Essentially, they are duping the user who came for a free gift box. What genius marketing right?? Offer something for free, make them think that's all their getting (but add something tiny and off to the corner on the form regarding a subscription because you know laws) and then bring in the big bucks. After about $600 being taken out of my account over the span of 12 months, I finally caught it on my VISA and put in a claim. I could not get it all back though due to timing.

I did talk to someone at the company. All they did was send me screenshots to prove my subscription and emails sent to me. Ok, thanks...but, I did not knowingly subscribe so I dont care if your system shows a subscription. Not the point here. Also, did you know that those "gift cards" can only be used on the exclusive products in the club section??? WHAT A JOKE. All of those products are in the 100's of dollars AND to top it all off you can not cumulate the gift cards. So, now I have about $400 in gift cards and I can only use $49 at a time AND I have to purchase expensive products that I would have to easily spend an extra 50 - 300+$$ to buy. AND Shipping. Upon my request to allow me to cumulate them in order to allow me to spend, in hopes that they would accommodate due to the situation, it was a HARD NO. I now have no use for these gift cards. I personally have never heard of this business practice where you cannot combine your gift cards that you have purchased with real currency. UGH wth. And, why would anyone even subscribe to this service. Its only for the expensive stuff and its a monetary value and the stuff isn't even that good and It is low selection. You cant use the card to pick up their Maybelline or cheaper garbage... SMH. I feel like a fool.

Here's the kicker - customer service actually told me I was never sent the free gift box because I didn't provide them my ID and a utility bill statement. But wait, you had no problem subscribing me and taking my money??? If you are taking my money the least you could have done was send me the effing gift box. LOL. WHAT A JOKE!!!!

Let this be a lesson. FIRST - Always check forms diligently when putting your payment details, esp. when something is "free" and dont think because you didn't submit or OK that you are off the hook. SECOND - Always check your emails diligently. I have to admit that I missed some of these. I get a lot of emails and these Honest Kiss ones dont say anything about purchase with monetary value. I thought it was spam because I am very on top of things I buy and subscribe and didn't know "I" had subscribed. THIRD - be diligent on checking your credit card statements. I actually am quite diligent here also so I am very upset with myself. But, I also share a card with my hubby and so sometimes it is difficult to know what he is spending on vs. me, etc. Also, this was during COVID and things were crazy with my kids home, me working from home, hubby losing job, etc. etc. so needless to say I was distracted. That's the only reason they got me.

HOW IS THIS COMPANY STILL UP AND RUNNING????

Stay away!!!!!!

Stay away!!!!!!! If I could give negative stars I would. First, I was swindled into a monthly subscription when getting a "gift" box. I entered my credit card info and as I was placing the shipping cost only order I noticed so many odd and sketchy information requests such as my birth date and salary, etc. I quickly closed the order screen and essentially cancelled the order for the free gift box, which I never did get. But, you know what I did get? a monthly subscription that I was not aware of. Yes, I got an email every month, but do you know how much spam comes into my Gmail? I consistently have hundreds of unopened emails. Not the point anyways...I DID NOT select any option to subscribe and it WAS NOT CLEAR that a subscription was being added to my order. Very likely it was small tiny little printed spot on the bottom of the order page that I CANCELLED OUT OF. Anyways, many months later I realized what was going on and I had paid over $600 YES $600 into a subscription that I never wanted or intended to use. Thankfully I was able to get my bank to dispute and get me about 200 or so back, but I caught it too late so they couldn't go back any farther. Needless to say, this website is not HONEST at all. If it was honest it would make it very clear to users that a subscription is being created. I reached out to the company and they refuse to offer any refund. ALSO, one of the worst parts about this stupid subscription is the "GIFT" cards, you know...the ones you pay for literally, can not be used together on a product and pretty much all of the products that can be purchased with the "gift" cards are all way more expensive than the value of the card; therefore ladies, we need to spend even more money on this BS website. I also requested to use my "gift" cards all together to be able to spend them, on things I dont even want, and that was a HARD NO as well. This company doesnt give AF about customers and is not transparent. STAY AWAY. Where is the BBB on this one????

WORST Money stealing website

WORST Money stealing website.
You wont get anything for your trail period or test, and they won't cancel the subscription during the trail so that you can’t cut them off and they will bill you 30 USD a month.
I have tried all their numbers and sarah @ honestkiss, but with no luck. They don’t have a costumer service their website should be shut down.

I have had $472.66 withdrawn from my account without receiving a single item from your company. The original order was for $1 on January 6,2021. Still haven't received a single thing. No emails just keep taking my money.
Very dissatisfied. Have just cancelled my subscription, now would appreciate getting back my money.

My girlfriend is being charged 49…

My girlfriend is being charged 49 dollars a month and youve been doing this since last year! She has not received a SINGLE Product from your scamming company! Shes going to dispute this and if it comes down to it you will be sued for this. Refund all her money for shs has Not Received even a gift card that you say you keep sending her email. Youre damn vultures for ripping off a mother of 5 children. Rectify this and refund All The Money That You Have Stolen!

CAN'T UNSUBSCRIPE

I have emailed and massage them more than once to asked to cancel my subscription and I have proof that they said it is canceled but STILL they withdraw $18.95 from my account for 6 months now, I don't know what to do else so that they can stop doing it because I still don't receive any gifts from them.. very unhappy

DO NOT EVER GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS TO THEM

They are a scam I had to put my cre card details but they were only to take $1 out and now they take money out of my card monthly and what for I didn’t even get my gift scammers even though they say there not after every bad review they most definitely are out for your money DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY EVER. So can somebody please stop taking my hard earned money and no I don’t want a subscription with your bodgy company so please refund all my money.

Review 2 - still a one star

I wrote a bad review for this company as I never received any products from them. They in turn reached out to me to find out what went wrong. It was a waste of time since they did nothing to rectify the problem at all; instead they made a bigger mess. I was hoping I could change my first review but I their service is terrible. I was told I never put my code in so they never sent it. I asked if they could send it now that I talked to them and she said if I put my code in. I then explained that I didn’t have the code and if I got one I was so confused by all the emails and texts that they sent that I most likely deleted it. I did ask her why they took $1.00 and $1.95 off my visa. The answer was you bought your code. I give up free makeup is not worth my time if this is the crap I have to deal with.
