Careless Moving Caused Damage

Machine worked fine but the movers caused considerable damage to the shared spaces of our apartment block through carelessness during a machine pick up.
Homie are now refusing to acknowledge or repair this damage, insinuating that I am instead lying and that the damage is old. Clearly just trying to save their own money and expecting customers to forget and move on. Absolutely appaling service.

I had booked a pick up for the washing…

I had booked a pick up for the washing machine today on 07/03 March. The delivery person contacted and said they were incurring some issues and would not be able to make it and asked if it was alright they came after the weekend. We are moving this weekend and I had asked for an earlier date and homie said this was the available date and I booked. The deliver person said he will get back to
Me and try to pick it up today or tomorrow. Now I receive this email with Monday will be the pick up. I am not available on Monday. I would like the machine to be picked up today or tomorrow . This is really rude to reschedule without consulting our availability even after saying we are moving. If I call the customer service, it says it’s closed. It’s 14.30
On a Friday, it’s still working hours.

Not as initially offered

Chose their service only because they take your old washing machine away and recycle it, which is a great option. Turns out they brought the new washing machine only to tell me they couldn't take the old washing machine away, leaving me with two washing machines at home. Don't recommend if you don't want to deal with recycling your old washing machine on your own

User of 3 years - can recommend despite some issues

I've been using Homie's services for almost 3 years at two locations. No complaints on the product. Yes - they messed up on several occasions; however, they always come an extra mile to fix it. Last time, they offered to pick up my washing machine on the last day of my lease - amazing! On the day, they came to a my old address and because my local number was already cut off, they did not communicate about nobody opening the door for them. We were waiting for them at the correct address for several hours. When I called later, it turned out that their car is already in a different city. As I was moving out the next day, which happened to be a Saturday, this was less than ideal. But they came outside of their working hours at the agreed time the following morning. No delays, no trying to blame me for the situation.
Homie is a startup and like any startup, they make mistakes. But they truly care about their customers and the service they provide contributes to sustainability. In an area with lots of expats, their service is really needed. I truly appreciate how they communicate and take accountability. They show up for their appointments and make it as easy for you as possible. I'd recommend!

Total scam - Avoid at all cost

This company is a total scam, highly recommend avoiding even considering using their services. They have the most incompentent customer service I have ever encountered, sending the same e-mails asking for already provided information several times.

On top of the poor service they charge extra for cancellation within short notice, when the delay is on their end due to customer service incompentence.

Quality of their washing machines:
You would be better off buying a second hand washing machine on marketplace as you would probably end up with better quality than the ones Home pay per use provides.

Awful

Since the begining of my contract I have had nothing but issues with this company, including problems with invoicing, overcharging, missed appointments, ect.. Which they tried to blame on me. They are an administrative mess. They obviously have a problem with documentation and problem solving. The individual people I have talked to in customer service have always done their best I think, but the company is disorganized and their system does not work.

‘Early pickup costs’ (70€) if you…

‘Early pickup costs’ (70€) if you cancel after 6 months when taking a 6+ months contract. Doesn’t make any sense, you are better of just buying the device.

The early pick-up costs is indeed when you leave us within 1 year. This is also mentioned on the website and in your contract. This is to cover our logistical costs. These costs are mentioned in several places.

Of course, we at Homie always want to make sure we have satisfied customers, even when they leave us. We would therefore like to ask you to contact us so that we can look into this together and find a suitable solution.

A satisfied client

My washing machine broke nearly a year before moving out from my apartment. Therefore, I decided to use Homie’s services. They took away my broken one which I found very convenient and the washing machine they provided us with was in a good conditions and far better than my old one. For the price, I could only compare it with the laundromats near my house, which would charge us way more money for a single wash so I thought the pricing for the homie machine was decent. I am also very happy with the customer service. If there was any issues or questions I wanted to ask, they would respond quickly and were very helpful. Overall, I was very happy with their service.

Super satisfied

As a chef and artist I have an activist environmental consciousness thats why i choose my washing machine from Homie. Besides that its the most value for money service. The technical support is perfect. I am already more than a year costumer and i would keep it like that for many years.

Homie is one of those companies that…

Homie is one of those companies that just feel good to be a customer of.

I have had great experience with their customer support, the installation was quick and professional, tha washine machine seem reliable and does the job, and it's nice to support something a bit more sustainable.
Keep up the good work!

Long time user, always super pleased!!

I have been using Homie since June 2019 and back then I was so unsure about the pros and cons of leasing vs. buying so I did my research and found out that their service includes fixing (if necessary) but I had my washing machine for a year and I never had to do that. I enjoy seeing the monthly report and I can easily pay for the washing on my Homie account. Today, I just got my dishwasher delivered and I cannot be more happy. Everything was done professionally and efficiently. Thank you very much for your service and keep it up! I hope in the future I can lease a nice espresso machine from you. A girl can dream!

Pleased with the service!

Currently have Homie around a month. I live by myself, and was worried that I would need to wash more than 20x a month and would be limited. This was in hindsight very much overestimated (I think I was 2x per week). The pay-per-use has made me more aware of the temperature I am using to wash, questioning if I could get the same result at a lower temperature. I also notice that I wait just a bit longer to wash, whereas before I was washing at half the capacity. Great concept, affordable prices, great customer service and clear communication about prices! I am pleased.
