Great service

The optician took his time to ensure my vision was clear with my new glasses. The team were really helpful when I was selecting appropriate frames. I am happy with my glasses

Professional and caring service for my parents

HomeSight recently visited my parents for an eye test at home and we were very pleased with the whole experience. The staff were professional, patient, polite and made my parents feel comfortable throughout the visit.

The service was well organised and everything was explained clearly in a calm and respectful way. It is a great help having such a professional team able to provide care at home, especially for elderly patients.

We are very grateful for the support and kindness shown by the team and would happily recommend them to others looking for a reliable domiciliary eye care service.

Rogue Company, Ripped Me Off !!!

I agree with everything that a previous reviewer Mr S. Adhangale has said about this terrible company. His dreadful experience mirrors my own.

I also purchased varifocals, and when they were delivered I immediately found that I couldn't see properly in them and the lenses felt to be of very poor quality. It was obvious the moment that they came to supposedly 'fit' the glasses that we had a problem, but they wouldn't take it from me and they left while I was wearing the glasses and complaining that I couldn't see properly! I really wasn't impressed because I had spent hundreds of pounds on what was a very poor quality product and which I could get a lot more for my money elsewhere if I had gone to a reputable High Street optician. And I say supposedly 'fit' because it's not really a proper fitting they just put the glasses on your face and if you say that anything is uncomfortable or digging in they're not in the position to make any meaningful adjustments because they're in your lounge and they don't bring the machinery that would enable them to do this as they were in their own practice. Seven less it's a few tweaks you require which can be done manually which you can do yourself then it's not really a proper service at all.

I was not happy with this and also the fact that when they came out to bring the glasses there was an agreement that I would receive a free second pair, but the last time they had been they hadn't really offered any suitable frames for this and I have made it clear the colors I can and can't wear and the styles that are comfortable and suit me. Yetthey were trying to still palm me off with this awful pink cheap frame and I said no and they said they would come back at a later date to offer more.

I wasn't getting on with the glasses at all in fact our stumbling everywhere I couldn't see to drive or do essential tasks that I needed to do! I found them to be constantly steaming up as well and the tint didn't kick in very quickly. The frames felt very cheap and unstable. I have to say that when they came out they didn't bring the greatest selection and although I would have been happy to get a better quality frame they didn't seem to have any and they didn't bring any when they said they would.

I then contacted them to express my dissatisfaction, instead of taking me seriously they tried to talk me out of it and told me that I needed to try harder to get used to them! They said this could take time while no it doesn't because I'd already had very focals and these were my refresher and I had got on with them really well so I hadn't got any problem with that. Once they realise that they couldn't paint it like that then they were trying other tactics to prevent me from complaining eventually I just told them that I wanted them to come out and take the glasses away and that I would be chloring the money back through my bank account. That got them coming out and when they arrived a man who was supposed to be a manager acknowledge that they weren't the best job and he said that he would give me a partial refund, but I told him I wanted the glasses to be remade! What good is a partial refund for something that you can't see through?! Anyway he said that he would get someone to come out and retest me and that they would dream make the glasses. He also told me that somebody would bring a better selection of frames so that we could get my free pair. Following this visit I never saw hide nor hair of them ever again.!

When I ran they either ignored me or were rude and dismissive it was absolutely terrible to think I would be treated like this. Then I got in touch with the optical Council and they lied to them! So I never really got anywhere I was left with the same rubbish glasses but apparently I'd had a half price refund but then I was supposed to get a free pair of glasses anyway which no one ever came back about. They did however lie to the optical complaints council and claimed to have been to my home to show me more frames and to return to fit the free glasses!!! What really happened and I didn't know until sometime later when I found it by accident was that they sent a man out to simply quickly dump a pair of cheap rubbish glasses that did not have the same lens in them and they left them in my meter cupboard outside! They were the exact same frame that I had said I didn't like and they were bifocals and not very focals so I was proper cons there wasn't I. I had to go to a regular optician on the high street after this to get sorted out properly and also to have the glasses looked at.
The optician confirmed that the lenses were not fit for purpose and said that she could not identify the brand which is unusual because you should really have a brand. AVOID THIS COMPANY PLEASE.

Beware: Homsightonline Opticians – A Disgraceful Display of Incompetence and Negligence”

I strongly caution anyone considering ordering any glasses from Homsightonline Opticians due to their alarming incompetence and questionable business practices.
My experience with this company was nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to warn others to steer clear.
Homsightonline entices customers with promises of NHS-subsidised eye tests and free glasses, only to upsell substandard products. I was persuaded to purchase varifocal glasses, which were utterly unfit for purpose. The lenses were of such poor quality that they failed to align with my prescription, rendering the glasses useless. To my dismay, this was not a one-off error- three separate orders were delivered, and each pair was equally defective, suggesting either gross negligence or deliberate misrepresentation of their products.

To compound matters, Homsightonline denied me my entitled NHS prescription, yet I have reason to believe they still claimed reimbursement from the NHS for services not properly rendered. This unethical behavior raises serious concerns about their integrity and compliance with NHS standards.

The company’s lack of professionalism is staggering. Their customer service is virtually nonexistent, with no clear complaints procedure in place. When I raised concerns about the faulty glasses, I was met with dismissive and rude responses, and my requests for a refund were ignored also my free This blatant disregard for customer satisfaction is unacceptable for any business, let alone one claiming to provide essential optical services.
Homsightonline’s operations appear to lack the expertise and accountability expected of a legitimate optician. I question their qualifications and integrity, as their conduct suggests a focus on profit over customer care. Potential customers should be wary of their enticing offers, as they may lead to wasted time, money, and frustration.
Save yourself the trouble and choose a reputable optician. Homsightonline Opticians is an utterly unreliable and unprofessional outfit that fails to deliver on even the most basic standards of service.
