The staff overall are very polite and consistent in communication but the competency of the particular agent that is managing my reference is terrible. I have a small business and my clients can pay me for my technology work via my business or personal account depending on the structure of the contract. I'm blessed and lucky to get consistent work over the last 7/8 years. I submitted my evidence of income using my business statements which clearly shows consistent high income for the last 7 years on a monthly basis because the business is usually on contracts for 1 year +.
The Agent, maybe in disbelief? says she couldn't see the income every month eventhough it’s there in black and white . She asked for my personal statements which I also provided. This was met with further disbelief of income even though my personal account also shows consistent income for the last 6 months. I was then asked to give my accountant details over to verify my income because she’s confused .. I think?
I received no apology or acknowledgement of messing me around and going from business to personal to business again. She has a lot of my personal data over email. It might just be, I was unlucky to get given a Rebecca Ranjit to handle my reference process (I’d advise asking for someone else if you do get her to save the back and forth). Such a hassle just to move into an overpriced apartment lol. Disappointed in the business process and customer service. Fingers crossed I can move in soon before I become homeless.

Complete violation of personal information and horrible customer service. AVOID using this company. I am making a formal complaint to the local trading authority. They are time-wasting and unreasonable. I provided them with my company email and bank statements, and they requested additional data, which I am not comfortable submitting.

Avoid HomePPL, scam company, they want you to connect your bank to their platform, so they will check your transactions. Please avoid!!!

Very poor data protocols. Completely out of order for any company to require FULL bank statements with all transactions - it’s personal data robbery and i would not touch homeppl with a barge pole if there was an alternative. Unfortunately if a property landlord uses them and you want the property, you’ve no choice. Homeppl data requirements are ridiculous and completely over the top, and of course, there is no telephone service - how convenient for them!
stay clear, I provided a bank statement, my employee confirmed my wage but as I didn't want to share access to my bank account they said that looked fraudulent and told the land lord to not rent to me. they said its clear evidence of fraud.
