I had 4 quotes for a stairlift for my father and Homelife were the nicest people to call. They were straightforward to the point and their price was very competitive. They didn’t try to sell me their lift by disrespecting other companies which others did when they came round. The service from start to finish was excellent and their price installation was seamless. The lift has allowed my father to live happily in his own home it’s been a game changer for him.

We are most satisfied with the whole of the purchasing experience.
We both felt very relaxed with the visit from the salesman. He listened to our requirements and explained the installation process in detail without applying any pressure to buy.
The installation was carried out on time and went very smoothly without any mess and the minimum of disruption.
On completion Ash, the installer, made certain that my wife fully understood all of the safety and instructions for use before leaving.
It is three months since the installation and, so far without any problems, we would have no hesitation in recommending Homelife Stairlifts to any of our friends in the future.

We had 5 companies in to quote as I knew nothing about stairlifts and we needed to learn from as many sources as possible. Homelife’s presentation was the simplest and clearest, plus they didn’t waste time knocking their competitors which can’t be said of the others. The installation was clean and simple and very professional. I can recommend Homelife on all counts.

The gentleman, Darrol, was extremely helpful, really nice and chatty. Felt like an old friend. It didn't take him as long as I thought it would. Darrol explained everything about the stair lift to us and let me have a couple of rides on it to make sure I was comfortable with it. Thanks Darrol.

I was looking for a chair lift for my elderly parents. Mum had just fallen and was having difficulty with the stairs.
I contacted several companies and found Stuart, the surveyor with Homelife, to be the most knowledgeable and gave me an honest price for what we needed.
The other companies gave me a price and then added for other parts we required, ie, power turn seat at the top of the stairs and power lift on track at the bottom of the stairs.
These were needed and should have been picked up by another salesperson and priced originally. We were promised a date for a fast installation by Homelife Sales manager Robin, and the date agreed was when the fitter came and fitted the chair lift.
He called the evening before fit date and advised the arrival time, which is when he arrived.
Fit was completed on time, agreed, and was done clean and professionally.
I have confirmed with Stuart, the surveyor, that mum and dad are delighted with the chair lift and it has made a big difference to the safety of them.
Big thanks to all at Homelife from the Smiths in Glenrothes Fife

A good sales experience with Ian who visited our home. 1 star knocked off as there were some initial admin / communication problems after the order was placed with the head office which was rather frustrating but these were ultimately resolved by the Sales Manager who got involved. Installation was then completed swiftly which went well.

Within 32mins of reading their response to my review stating my disappointing experience I telephoned the Company to say that I would be open to discussing it and discussing how they could make amends as they requested. Spoke to Paul on enquiries who left me on hold whilst he found out the situation. He came back quite quickly to me stating that it was in the hands of the Managers who would phone me back.....that was 4 days ago. To date they still have my deposit (apparently up to 10 working days to return). Management seem so concerned at my disappointment and having a discussion to see how it could possibly be amended that I have still not heard so much as a whisper of a phone call from them. So that should tell you what they are really interested in.....just your money

First time of fitting we were going to be left with a trip hazard despite promises from surveyor that we would not be. Stairlift not fitted that day. In order to stop me from cancelling a deal was done with Sales Manager to have straight track with power hinge which would solve our problem. I am too disappointed to get angry. Another wait of 2 weeks fitting was 27th Oct before final fit engineer trying it all out discovered quickly power hinge not working as it should. Gave me the option to have straight track which would overhang living room door (trip hazard 2 OAPs having to negotiate)whilst new part was organised. I was not sure because of hazard so called on daughter to visit quickly to inspect as they work in Health &Safety environment. First thing daughter said was "mum trip hazard for you and dad doddery 85yrs". Told engineer to remove the whole thing and no I was not interested in a replacement! Funny thing I was waiting for the problem to appear all day, women's intuition. They took my deposit straight away initially but I have to wait up to 10 days excuse the Bank system..umm yea right. Promised phone call to me today 28th never materialised. This whole experience has been a nightmare to find the right stairlift Company. I thought I had - buy British, no Agents. They need to improve customer communication in all aspects. In future when necessary will go up and downstairs on my backside cos I ain't moving either! Another Company apparently has stopped using power hinges....I wonder why??? As I said very very disappointed by my "whole" experience and that includes any Companies connected with stairlifts too.

Really easy and friendly from start to finish. Didn’t feel pressured as I felt with others, listened to and given good advice on the best solution and reasonably priced.

Buyer Beware! I bought this stairlift after discussing our requirements with the salesman. I was assured the chair would not prevent anyone use in the stairs while it was at the to and it would meet our needs. However, this is not the case. The seat doesn’t swivel 90*at the top of the stairs as shown on the website meaning I cannot pass it if assistance is needed at the top of the stairs.
Our lift was installed on 14/8/25 and stuck on the first night. I contacted customer services and after a long telephone call it started to work at bit. I was unhappy as it is obvious it has a fault. I was assured an urgent call would be put out for an engineer to visit. The “customer service” advisor was unable to tell me how long an urgent repair would take and that she could not access diaries of any of the engineers.
No one contacted me to arrange to inspect and carry out repairs to the chair lift.
I contacted the salesman on Monday 25/8/25 who emailed the office to contact me on 26/8/25. I contacted the salesman again on the 26/8/25 to inform him I hadn’t received contact. He escalated my concerns to his superior but as of writing this review (27/8/25)no contact has been made.
The stair lift appears to have an intermittent fault. We try not to use it, but when my husband has to use it, I need to be there to help him as the chair tends to stop before it reaches its destination. When it stops I have to get him out of the chair and either down or up the remaining stairs.
I’m in my 70’s and having to try and hold him to prevent him falling is difficult.
I find their customer care is non existent and I feel now they have my money they no longer care whether the equipment works or not.A very disappointing experience.

I bought my stair lift in early February 2024 and I am still waiting for a date for the first service to be done (Aug 2025). The installation went fine but the after sales service is very poor.

We are both in our mid 80s, from the initial visit every thing was carefully explained which left us in no doubt what & when things would happen, both members of their team who actually came were very friendly and helpful. Our stairs have 2 bends and 2 landings so they were awkward but they overcame the problems and the finished stair lift is very good, no problems at all.

We interviewed a lot of companies, some were downright liars, some were expensive and some were more or less comparable.
Homelife has proven to be a good choice, the installer Paul was first rate, as a retired carpenter I am used to working in peoples homes, and Paul was beyond reproach, an efficient worker who left the place spotless and explained in full the workings of the stairlift, A first rate company with a first rate product, I would highly recommend

Paul from Homelife Stairlifts installed mine today. From start to finish this Company has been amazing. They are not in the business of pressurising customers as I experienced from others while getting quotes. They are happy to answer all questions by phone or email and keep you informed of the process at all times. Paul today was excellent. He was careful and kind and the whole procedure was carried out with the maximum professionalism. He made sure I understood all aspects of the workings of the stairlift and that I was totally happy. It was so important to me as have just been in recovery for hip replacement plus with Fibromyalgia my stairs were not going to work for me. Huge thank you to everyone in this Company.
