At first I didn't really understand how everything works, I got a bit lost between the tools. But after trying a few times, I managed to get some really nice results. Some styles don't work that well for my room, but others were really inspiring. I wouldn't say it's perfect, but it's definitely helpful, and I keep coming back to it.

This is an update to my previous review. I managed to contact the same people who appear in the webinar where they promise a special offer with full product functionality. I demanded a refund since I never received any access code. The deception got even worse when one claimed they would 'authorize' my email for direct access without any code, as if that were actually possible. The other promised a refund, which never happened. Once again, I warn others about this scam.

Unreliable roll of the dice. Poor experience.
I've been trying to use it with a Pro Membership for over a month now. So many attempts and angles tried, mostly resulting in frustration. Occasionally it pops out something cool and replicable. Most of the time it doesn't take instructions, is very inconsistent and unreliable for paid work; does whatever modifications it wants to your room. Plus, every Thursday there's a webinar where we watch their instructor struggle to produce the desired results just like the rest of us. Pointless, waste of time. If anything, we are paying to exercise/feed data to their AI design software. Having to e-mail to cancel my membership now.

Beware of HomeDesigns.ai – A “Free Trial” That Isn’t Free
I recently tried this app called HomeDesigns.ai, hoping to get some fresh ideas for decorating my home. What I got instead was a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience.
- The so-called "free trial" asks for your credit card up front.
- Canceling the trial is a hassle — there's no option in the app or website. You have to email them manually, which is a shady barrier to cancellation.
- There’s no visible way to delete your account or your data — a major concern in terms of privacy and GDPR compliance.
- As for the results? Totally garbage, uninspiring and not related to the picture I've uploaded. Ironically, ChatGPT did a far better job generating tailored and creative home decoration ideas.
Frankly, this feels like a scammy business model dressed up as a design service.

it's complete garbage. no connection from source picture to final picture. It's like you take a picture of your space and then it goes onto pinterest to find another picture in the "style" you pick, completely unrelevent to your space.
Also horrible cancel process, you have to write an email to support at homedesignsai.com asking to cancel vs hitting a button in your account.

I signed up to try this app because I was doing a remodel of my house. I paid for the basic service. When I tried to use it, it kept prompting me to upgrade. The basic rate is set up to give you minimal features so your forces to upgrade. Once you upgrade to "Premium" it keeps trying to upgrade you for more money. Very frustrating!
I tried to cancel on the same day I signed up.
They kept contacting me making offers. I just wanted to cancel. We will see if they actually refund my card.
Their website wont allow me to delete my card details. I don’t like that at all.

Fraudulent Billing-Very Disappointing Experience
I initially signed up for a virtual staging and home design service through this AI-based company, expecting to be billed $19 per month as advertised. However, to my surprise, they withdrew $288 from my account without authorization.
Since discovering the charge, I’ve made numerous attempts to contact the company through email and their listed support channels—but have received no response whatsoever. It has been extremely frustrating and disappointing, especially given the trust I placed in their service.
As a professional in real estate, I understand the value of good staging tools, and I was hopeful this platform could support my business. Unfortunately, the lack of customer support and unauthorized billing have made this a very negative experience.
I urge others to be cautious before providing payment information to this company. At this point, I am left with no service, no support, and a significant unauthorized charge.

I was able to generate 100x better results with Chat GPT. From the moment i subscribed, i was constantly bombarded with results to upgrade EVEN MORE. I decided to buy a subscription out of curiosity. I didn't expect to be an actual tool, I was thinking that it is more of an entertainment app that you can snap pictures with your room and play with it.
Some of the features that this tool has can be used for serious purposes. I showed concepts of rooms to my designer and it was really helpful for both of us.

I’ve been testing HomeDesign AI and found the experience underwhelming compared to other AI tools like ChatGPT. The platform often generates unrealistic results, like suggesting I turn my office into a kitchen, which clearly disregards the function of the room. Additionally, the tool frequently adds human figures into the renderings without giving users the option to disable them — something I find unnecessary and distracting.
Overall, the lack of prompt flexibility and control makes the tool feel rigid. I was hoping for more intelligent, context-aware designs, but the output tends to feel generic and sometimes impractical. I believe there's great potential here, but right now, it falls short of delivering the creativity and accuracy expected from a modern AI design platform.

This website is set up to give you minimal extra features each time you upgrade. Once you upgrade to "Premium" you find that you have very little extra functionality and it keeps trying to upgrade you time and again taking more money each time.
When I tried to cancel they contacted me making offers (which is fine) but I politely declined. I cancelled the same day as I had subscribed. Far from giving my money back (as advertised), they then charged my card again the following month!
Also their website wont allow me to delete my card details which is scary. No trust sorry.
