If I could give less than 1 star I would. I worked for them as a cleaner, they allowed clients to do chargebacks with absolutely no remorse to cleaners. Cleaners are demanded to pay back charge backs or get deactivated. My clients through Homeaglow consistently complained about frequent hidden charges. They are a terrible business. I would NEVER recommend this business to a client or a cleaner. As a single mom I work very hard for my money and have amazing reviews from my own business worth of clients. Homeaglow does not screen clients and it often results in cleaners being put in unsafe situations.

Scam, scam, scam. They offered a discount promotion for signing up for a first cleaning, but fail to properly communicate that they lock you into a recurring cleaning service charged at an insane price, AND there is a excessive cancellation fee. I incurred some unexpected medical expenses and emailed their support team to ask for an exception and refund, even offering to leave good reviews for their consideration, and they essentially told me “that sucks”. Their customer support team’s general attitude is unpleasant. Recommend just cleaning your place yourself if this company is what you have to deal with otherwise.

I want to start by saying this review does not reflect on the individual cleaners I was matched with—they were professional and did a good job. My issue is entirely with the company as a whole.
This service is extremely misleading and feels like a scam. They advertise a $59 monthly membership with cleanings at $20/hour “as you wish.” That is absolutely not what happens in reality. I scheduled bi-weekly 2-hour cleanings and was charged for 6 hours, and the hourly rate was definitely not $20.
On top of that, canceling the membership is another nightmare. They claim cancellation fees range from $79–$129, but I was quoted over $200 to cancel. That’s completely unreasonable and not clearly disclosed upfront.
I have reported these unauthorized and misleading charges to my credit card company.
Between the hidden costs, billing inconsistencies, and cancellation issues, I would strongly advise others to stay away.

The customer service rep, Adriana, kept rushing me to give my card information. Then afterwards when I told her that I don't quite understand what you are saying about the cost. I understood the cost is $19.99 for the first visit and then $59 monthly. She was very irritated when I continued to ask questions. Then finally the light went off: there is another charge with each visit =$23/hour for the cleaner. So I told the rep that I did not sign up for for $$23x3hours + $59 per visit. She was irritated when I told her to cancel. Then the rep said "contact customer service" and hung up on me. Homeaglow does not have a phone number to call. You have to send a chat on their website. Well, that's another strike.

I had a very disappointing experience with this cleaning service. I scheduled appointments with two different cleaners, and both failed to show up for various reasons
There was also a requirement for an upfront payment before the service, which added to my concern about reliability. Unfortunately, the service did not meet basic expectations of punctuality or professionalism.
Based on my experience, I would advise others to be cautious before booking and to confirm cancellation policies, payment terms, and cleaner reliability in advance.

This company asked for a credit card number to be on file When completing the initial application. I did not put a credit card on file, I wanted to see how the first visit went. I completed the application, then a week before the service was supposed to take place, I started getting emails stating that because I did not put a credit card on file. They will not honor the service. I explained to them that I would like to see the quality of the service first. I tried to call and of course there was no one to speak to. I sent emails and text to no avail. I then asked for my money back and no response has been received. The debit card that I used to pay for the first service was then charged another $59, I was confused about that because as of today no service has been rendered. Do not use this company, it appears to be a scam. At this time, I had to get my bank involved so that I can get my money back due to fraud!!

SCAM…. SCAM …. SCAM … first of all you will never pay only 19 dollars for anything from these scammers . It was considered a voucher and it cost way more then 19 dollars and on top of that you are hooked into a subscription that costs 59 a month . My first appointment for cleaning was 2 hours late for her appointment with me on a Sunday that I cleared for the cleaning . The next appointment was canceled by the cleaner 25 minutes ( on a Sunday agsin ) before the appointment was scheduled for . When I contacted Homeaglow and got pissed off and canceled . I was charged another 111.20 for early termination fees on top of a the rest of the cash I spent . So the only cleaning I got was 3 hours of a cleaner that was way late for an estimated 280.00 dollars after it was all said and done . Homeaglow said they will not issue me a refund but placed 89 dollars in an account if I chose to open my account back up again to use then I can use that cash for it . No refunds though … well I filed a complaint with the BBB and I’ll be reviewing them constantly since I can’t stand companies that take advantage of people like this .

Scam. Nobody showed up to clean. Now they charge me $59 per month and I can cancel.

Booked a standard cleaning 3 hours for a 2 bedroom apartment. The cleaner spent all 3 hours cleaning the bathroom and nothing else in the house. A complete waste of time.

SCAM - DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF GETTING DEFRAUDED
"To clarify, it looks like the recurring 4-weeks cleaning plan was deactivated, but the membership itself was not canceled. That’s why the $59 membership fee continued to be billed. When you purchased your 3-hour voucher, it included a ForeverClean membership, which begins after your first appointment. The membership is $59 per month (tax may apply), billed separately from cleaning services, and renews automatically regardless of usage.
Additionally, the membership comes with a 6-paid-month minimum commitment. If canceled before completing those 6 months, an early termination fee of $105 applies. This reflects the discounted rate of your initial 3-hour cleaning at $35/hour"
Deceptive sign-up process that forces you into a membership. When you cancel the membership, you have to pay back the discount they offered for the first cleaning, and you haven't actually cancelled the recurring cleanings they forced you to sign up for. You have to cancel that separately. The cleaner who showed up was just an independent contractor. I paid for 8 hours but he left early because "everything was done." I ended up having to pay for additional cleaning out of my security deposit for my apartment because the cleaner missed several things.

I have no complaints about the cleaning the cleaners were professional and good at what they do. Cleaned like I would have when I was able to clean my own house. The issue I have is trying to cancel. I haven't used Home A Glow in almost a year now yet they continue to charge my credit card $49.00 each month. I have e-mailed and called, each time I get the run around "we don't handle that or we can't help you with that." but no one gave me a number to call or e-mail address. Just paid my credit card card and there were 8 charges from Home a Glow for $49.00. I'm on a fixed income and I need this to stop. I have a friend at our local TV station and she's willing to do a story on this and if I don't get some relief Home A Glow is about to be on blast. I need this cancelled now!!

This is a scam. I did have one cleaning and the person did a good job and was nice. They tried to schedule me for a second and I cancelled because I only wanted the one cleaning. I was charged again and they said it was the monthly membership fee. I then had to pay another $140 to cancel my membership, I could not cancel without paying it. I have notified my bank and will be notifying the Better Business Bureau. Do not fall victim!

*****WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! DON"T OPT THIS COMPANY FOR CLEANING***SCAM****
If a customer clearly states they are dissatisfied with your service and wishes to cancel a contract they didn’t knowingly opt into, it is unacceptable to ignore that request. Instead of respecting the customer’s decision, you are insisting on another chance while also demanding a $105 cancellation fee—something that is completely unjustified under these circumstances. Is this really the standard of business you stand by?

I have NO idea how this cleaning company ended up in my bank statements because we've never had anything to do with them EVER. Why would we? We've had our own local cleaning people for 20 years! I reported Homeaglow to the fraud department of my bank and got the $313 they charged my credit card back.
UPDATE: Perhaps this company is innocent and its name was falsely used by a scammer. If so, I am sorry. My bank statement says 'Homeaglow 3HR Voucher Cleaningbill. TX.' I don't even live in TX, I live in PA.

I had one of the most disturbing and unacceptable service experiences I’ve ever encountered using Homeaglow.
I booked a 4-hour standard cleaning, and the cleaner arrived nearly an hour late, already reducing the time I paid for. When she arrived, she did not bring basic cleaning equipment like a vacuum, mop, or swiffer, which immediately raised concern.
Over the course of the appointment, very little was actually cleaned. Two bathrooms were partially started but not properly finished, and the floors throughout my home were left visibly dirty with debris, hair, and trash. There was no vacuuming or mopping done at all. I took Photos that clearly show the condition my home was left in.
Near the end of the appointment, I asked when she would be finishing and if she planned to clean the floors. She repeatedly said she needed “20 more minutes,” despite the fact that the home was not even halfway complete. She also began cleaning areas I did not request (like the oven), instead of focusing on the basics. At that point, I became uncomfortable and I asked her to leave.
This is where the situation became extremely serious.
She REFUSED to leave my home when asked multiple times, became uncooperative, and stalled despite having her belongings in hand. I felt unsafe and had to call 911, while also contacting my husband to come home immediately.
Even after being told to leave several times, it took her approximately 15 minutes to exit, and she remained outside my unit for several additional minutes. My husband had to intervene to ensure she left the property.
This was not just poor service it was a safety issue inside my own home.
To make matters worse, when I attempted to cancel my membership afterward, I was told I would be charged a $140 cancellation fee, despite the fact that:
1. The service was not completed
2. The cleaner lacked proper equipment
3. The situation escalated to a safety concern requiring police involvement
I have provided photos and am in the process of filing a formal report.
Bottom line:
I did not receive the service I paid for, and I was put in a situation where I felt unsafe in my own home. I would strongly caution others before using this platform.

I’m very impressed on how Homeaglow went above and beyond to address my concerns.
They were determined to fix the problems I had encounter!
Could always respect a business working diligently in a addressing customer care.
And reimbursed me.
Very scammy practices and to add insult to injury the cleaning was pretty much not done. There was additional marks on the floor from dirty mops and obviously no cleaning under things like nightstands or beds in a house with tile floors. Enrolled me in a membership in a scammy way and then tried to force me to keep it or pay hundreds to cancel. Report them to the AZ attorney general office

If I could it would be 0. Stay far away from this company I am working on getting them shut down. They are a scam and they say they do background checks they don’t. Supposedly the cleaner yvelt that came to my house well apartment did not do a good job at all. It kind of looked worse than before and I have pictures. He said he didn’t get to my room although my room was the one mentioned in the instructions. But I have pictures that say he was in my room and moved things around. He moved personal documents that were on my desk that had my social security number. There was other stuff like my dogs picture on my end table was turned sideways. More stuff was moved on my desk. But he had no time he told my cousin to get to my room. But he had time to go through my personal stuff. Because I left him a bad review he wants me to take it down or he will not give my money back to me. The company even says they won’t give it back and since the first visit was discounted there will be a cancellation fee but they already took 80 from my account that is not discounted. Our other personal cleaner is there same time and house is immaculate and his charge is less than what I got charged. This company is a scam there no phone number to contact if you have problems you must contact the person who cleaned. And the person who cleaned will not return it. I have messages of all of our emails texts. Which I used when I contacted the bbb. Now going to contact fraud and any other company I can to get them shut down. It’s not even about the money anymore.
