So why are you overstepping to Australia politics and us politics which has nothing to do or will with UK laws or legislations as these only affect the countries not UK 🤔🤷

The hopeless, 😭 hapless, future for not so Great Britain?

I phoned 38°, to let them know that the survey about the EU that I had just completed wasn't particularly "user friendly", as all the Blair speak plums would say, in that the 38° orange logo was plastered all across the beginning of each question, thereby semi-obscuring each one, and making it awkward to complete. Making small talk with the Robert Peston stunt double who answered the call ( I believe he said that his name was Oliver), I said that even though both my wife and I were old gits, we had both voted "remain" in Cameron's debacle of a Brexit vote. The bloke (Oliver?) didn't seem to be a person renowned for a great sense of humour, when I said that we lived in Clacton on sea, so he would obviously know who our m.p. was, he replied "I'm afraid that I don't have that information to hand, currently", in that staccato, Dalek type voice that the wary reserve to try to hide their complete ignorance of a subject that I would think was bread 🥪 and butter to an employee of a firm that intends to make waves about Brexit! I wasn't expecting David Dimbleby to answer my phone call, but I thought 🤔 that anyone with a pulse, a brain cell, and who works for a company setting a survey about the Brexit fiasco would have heard of one of Brexits most most ardent advocates, Mr. Nigel Farage (our own little pound shop Trump). ( Trump is the president of some large country west of Ireland, for Oliver's (?) information, I think that it might be Greenland! FFS employ people who have a smattering of an idea of current world affairs, I would have thought that it was essential in that line of work. As much as I hate to spoil anyone's weekend, or traumatise them, perhaps you could gently let Oliver (?) know that Mafeking has been relieved, sound motion pictures are nearly perfected, and that Germany came second in both WW1, the 1966 world football ⚽ cup, but won the peace 🫛. In following Peter Mandelsons momentous career,(where a complete lack of talent hasn't hindered him one iota), I'm sure that Oliver (?) will be the C.E.O. of some huge, faceless, bland, featureless company in the very near future ! After all, who needs talent, when smiling and speaking in sound bite clichés will get you by?

Very pleased to be contributing…

Very pleased to be contributing opinions through this site. As an average citizen my only way of expressing my democratic opinions is by voting at elections or emailing my MP, which is not very targeted to specific issues. Some seem to criticize it as left-wing, to me its refreshing when mainstream media and other news outlets are predominantly right-wing, which apparently is ok.

The Real World

I’ve been signing petitions and making some small donations to 38Degrees for a year now. There heart is in the right place but at the same time they need to focus on the real world. You can’t endlessly ask for more money to be spent on the NHS and at the same time demand lower taxes. In my opinion I think they should put more effort into demanding reform of the NHS it really isn’t fit for purpose. It’s become to big with a top heavy management that are not called to account often enough. I could write a long list of failings that I have personally experienced

Left Wing activists organisation

I signed one of 38 Degrees petitions a few years ago and I’m now inundated with email requests to sign many others. They are all left wing petitions in my view. I also just filled in a survey and it had multiple questions on it. It asked what you wanted 38 Degrees to concentrate on. One of the boxes to tick was “Tackle far right extremism. Why not add “Far left extremism” That would show 38 Degrees is not sides, but unfortunately almost all the questions on the survey were pushing towards left wing ideology.

Political Extreamists & Scammers

Well, I signed a petition to save a local hospital.
Good so far. Then, I get bombarded with far left propaganda, making it appear that I have signed up to support a load of baseless claims.
My bad, should have looked in to this bunch of totalitarians before sharing my email address.

The opportunity to voice my opinion

Their wonderful researchers give me the opportunity to voice my opinion and wishes on many vital issues that are close to my heart.
Subsequently I am brought up to date on the progress being made with the government and other decision makers at whom the opinion was directed.
The only downside for me comes from the frequent requests for donations which I cannot give as an elderly pensioner on a state pension, hence the 4 stars.

I'm grateful for the campaigns 38 degrees puts in my inbox

I'm grateful for the campaigns 38 degrees sends to my inbox and it plays a significant role in UK civic activism by facilitating public engagement on various social and political issues. Its grassroots approach and commitment to independence have enabled it to engage people like me who are supposedly hard to reach and remain marginalised in the political system. I used to be a member and donate, but my only reason for a mixed review and I won't go into reasons why is that I dislike its antiroyalist stance.
Overall 38 degrees do good work and their ideals are mainly supported but areas for improvement are to create a community that isn't connected only online. In other words I want to meet in person the thousands of individuals who share my ideals for a better Britain.

38 Degrees is massively important...

38 Degrees is a massively important voice in a sea of discordant political noise and toxic debate. It is highly successful at mounting campaigns that are important to people and critical to positive change. Their (our!) voice is heard by those in power and real change often results from the powerful and positive campaigns they run.
I am proud to have been a supporter for several years and would encourage anyone who cares about people, community and fairness to support them and their campaigns.

38 degrees is an excellent platform…

38 degrees is an excellent platform which enables ordinary people to campaign about important issues in society and also any issues which are important to you. We have seen the positive influence it can make and it is a very easy way of making a difference. You can donate if you want but are not obliged to. I would recommend this means of making your voice heard. Hazel.

I appreciate having the opportunity to sign petitions on current, important issues, organised through 38 Degrees - this being the tipping point for much needed change. I feel better informed, more empowered and involved in the political direction of our country. No pressure to sign petitions or to donate - it’s your choice.

Excellent organisation

I, in common with the majority of people, don’t feel that my views are taken into account by the powers that be; 38 Degrees makes me feel that my views and those of like-minded people can have at least a small impact. They, or perhaps I should say we, have had a number of successes with our campaigns.
The organisation strives to create a fairer, more just and tolerant society. They have been campaigning tirelessly on issues that are close to my heart such as the NHS, the private water fiasco and the environment generally, not to mention the lack of funding for various public services.
