Do not entertain this company they will rip you off, I had been warned about their conduct but having used them before and had no issues I didn’t heed the warning.. Craig came to fix the boiler in December as property had been empty, he got it going at the expense of £270, then has the repeat issue in January so had another callout and was told that it was a part that would cost £70 and agreed for him to do it, only to be absolutely shocked with another bill of £290. Naturally I challenged this and was called a derogatory name for doing so as evidently they run their business however they want.
Of course I have paid the requested amount but urge caution with these guys

Unfitting with our other reviews and reputation
And now the truth… we had carried out works for Sheriff through a letting agent. The agent didn’t speak highly of Sheriff, they no longer have a professional relationship.
A few years ago Sheriff refused to pay for some works and still had the front to call us out again.
From this we still responded on same day visits however we insisted we were paid upfront. This was fine for a few visits until we were requested to attend an urgent visit.
We attended within the hour to a holiday let and had the boiler back up and running within the hour. We charged our minimum charge which Sheriff was aware of. We never quoted the parts that’s just a lie. (All quoted are written)
We had to answer repeated emails for around 6 weeks asking how much we paid for the part, where we purchased it from, how much the engineer cost along with many other questions all the time never receiving payment. (Does he ask Tesco what they paid for a loaf of bread)
Yesterday Sheriff threatened me (Craig) with violence, has since paid my invoice and felt the need to leave this review.
For ripping me off before, messing me about this time, causing weeks of stress and threatening me I did indeed call Sheriff a derogatory term which I feel is totally justified.
This man is a horrible con man leaving his tenants to live in the worst conditions to the point the agent has terminated their contract.
A bitter man leaving a negative review despite years of “thank you for getting it sorted so quickly” and never leaving a positive review.

Installation of water softener
I have used Holland Gas for a boiler servicing and installation of a water softener. Liam carried out the work and I was very happy with everything. Lorraine is always lovely and helpful when you call. I wouldn't hesitate to use again.

In a time when it is difficult to secure a trades person, Hollandgas service levels are excellent. From the initial phone call to end of service they communicate every step of the way. I highly recommend Hollandgas.

Fantastic Service, Going Above & Beyond
Our boiler packed up completely leaving us with no heating or hot water, Lorraine immediately arranged for a replacement boiler to be installed, and Liam and Craig arrived a day early and worked until 8.30 pm to ensure we had heating and hot water. Truly exceptional service, above and beyond what we were expecting.

Always great service from Holland Gas
I always use Holland Gas for any boiler replacement or servicing. Lorraine, Craig and the team are always super professional. Recently I had a gas leak that was reported by a neighbouring property so a national company came out and isolated my meter. Lorraine liaised with me to arrange to fix, as I was hospitalised and anxious to get the boiler back on for my return home. I am happy to say everything went like clock work, their engineer came out on time and rectified the issue within an hour and my home is nice and warm again. 10/10 Holland gas. Thank you once again for the great service.

We are renters
We are renters, and the past 6 weeks or so have had an avalanche of issues. Thankfully Holland Gas to the rescue, from Lorraine, the voice on the phone to all the engineers, this team has been absolutely amazing, even though we rent, they treated us with respect, and were very patient with us, when we had a leak in the ceiling, one call and Lorraine had it sorted, an hour later there they were again to sort the issue.
Yesterday Liam fitted a new boiler, he left the kitchen clean and tidy, and took all rubbish with him, he was good enough to go through the controls before leaving (1st class chap) that I would say is very good at his job….give him a raise.
So all in all… service is brilliant, 5 stars.

Highly professional and friendly service
Liam, who serviced our boiler and gas fire, was punctual and friendly. He discovered a problem with the flue and kept us in the picture, showing us where the fault lay and what needed doing. Kevin, who subsequently came to fit a new flue, was prompt, efficient and friendly, too. We cannot fault the service we received.

Today was no exception, a failed pressure release valve in mid winter is never fun but engineer visit to assess and then follow up and an engineer out to fit the part later that day and now toasty warm house !
