⚠️ Watch out – protect your time and your money! ⚠️

We spent a long time searching for the perfect getaway in the South of France and finally found it through Holidu.com. Excited, we booked the accommodation, received confirmation, and the full amount was immediately withdrawn from our account.

Then, just two weeks before our departure, we received a phone call from Holidu abruptly canceling our entire holiday with nothing more than a casual “We’re really sorry” and a blunt “We can’t help you find anything else – that’s just unfortunate.”

No real explanation. No help. No alternatives offered. We were left stranded with three flight tickets, transfers paid for, and no place to stay – and Holidu refused to compensate us in any way for the mess they’d created.

We then got an email simply confirming the cancellation, stating again they couldn’t help, but at least we’d get our money back. Well, guess what? Even that wasn’t done properly. They refunded less than the original amount charged.

This entire experience has been deeply frustrating and disappointing. The places we could afford before were now completely out of budget. Our holiday was ruined and Holidu took zero responsibility.

So beware!
If you value your peace of mind, your vacation time, and your wallet – we strongly recommend you book through a more reliable platform.

Don't use Holidu

I booked a property in France through Holidu, the pictures of the property looked great, but when we arrived it was totally different, to get to the property we had to walk up an alleyway that was never mentioned in the property description. The property had a terrible odor, it really wasn't nice. We went into the shower room and you would not believe the mess, the toilet was BROWN it hadn't been cleaned in months, OMG it was awful, the shower area was horrible, the grouting was black, the silicone was black, I wouldn't have showered in it. I contacted the point of contact and told her, she came to the property and agreed with the condition. She turned out to be the housemaid, she said she could clean it again if I wanted. I told her that I couldn't stay in a house like this. She then called her manager and explained the situation and sent him pictures. He spoke to me and said I should contact Hoildu direct and inform them that the property was not as advertised and totally unacceptable, we booked into a hotel that afternoon at our cost. Holidu asked for a copy of the hotel invoice, nothing else was offered to help. I sent several emails explaining everything but I didn't have any pictures of proof of how bad it was, so they couldn't do anything, they told me they will contact the owner and he wouldn't give us a refund or an offer of any kind. Holidu then offered me 10% refund as an act of good will. Which was totally unacceptable. I informed them that I was considering taking legal action against Holidu and the owner and that I required the owners full contact details so my solicitor can communicate with him. Holidu would only give me a concierge email and phone number. This would not be acceptable. I requested this several times, but that was all they would give me. Holidu kept informing me that they are just a booking service, I have a contract with Holidu. I will be taking legal action against Holidu. Please, please don't use Holidu, I won't.

This little apartment is very cosy and…

This little apartment is very cosy and there are some steps up the mountain, but when you reach the place...it is worth it all. The view is absolutely amazing, the bay of Napples, Vesuvio and a beautiful sunset every evening. It´s nice in the evening to watch all the lights in the bay. We would have no issues staying here for a longer period. All what you see on the pictures are private only for you. The rooms are romantic decorated with nice paintings etc so it felt like a small palace. A very unique experience and we surely recommend it.

Holidu does not return deposit

We rented a house in Mallorca in May and the day before arrival we received a request to pay EUR 300 in deposit. We did - but the amount is still not returned to us Mid-september despite several requests. Holidu doesn’t answer our emails…
