To expensive, they obligate to pay 60£ of 3 months subscription in order to get a pet sitter.... For which reason I need to pay 3 months subscription,if I only need pet sitter for 5 days. At least I could pay 20£ for only one month subscription and anyway after have a guarantee that I found the pet sitter... This is a scam service....

Greedy money grabbing, threatening, scammers! Avoid at all costs! Their whole process is very hidden and crafty, only once a sitter confirms they can help then you are forced to join their membership, costs starting from £60 for 3 month membership! Only then can you engage properly with the sitter! Because I had a negative viewpoint about all this, they sent me a very threatening message saying they will be taking severe action
against me! Seems like the platform is run by a tyrant who wants to control their patrons and only allows postive messages about the platform. I have since found a dog sitter on Rover, where the fees are much clearer without any hidden charges!

Awful!! Avoid. So expensive and without telling you tie you into a subscription to auto renew. Without warning take money from your account.
Try to contact them and if you do get a reply, they tell you it’s in the contract and it was your choice to auto renew. I was not offered to opt out.
About 20 Emails sent to them, they will not refund the money and have only replied twice to stat they are not refunding and it’s my fault.

Same issue as others. Charge me £57 try to cancel it but they said no. Please do not use this website. They will over charge people that are looking for pet sitters.

Awful. Took a subscription payment even though automatic renewal was turned off. Have emailed multiple times to get a refund and close my account but no answer.

Honestly such a disheartening experience.

I was in dire need of a dog sitter and reached out. Eventually I got a sitter to reply, but by this stage it was too late and I had found someone else , on a different site.

I immediately messaged Holidog asking them to help me cancel the booking , my subscription and give me a refund as I didn’t actually benefit from their services at all and it was within 14 days. Also on my current mobile there were no cancel tabs to click- which is why I messaged them immediately to cancel the sitter.

I then get little to no emails from them and when I do, they have declined to refund me my money and send me T&C’s.

I would understand if I had waited a few weeks or even accepted a sitter which replied for us to make plans, but I emailed them on the day to inform them of what happened and still, nothing. Basically as soon as you click enter you agree to losing your money despite receiving the services required.

I will not be using this site again. It was a let down and for a company who claims to provide top notch service and care for their dogs, they showed little benevolence or understanding towards my situation which was very upsetting.

Most sites would give you back your money as you didn’t utilise the service to the extent you should have, but not in this case.

I am extremely disappointed with Holidog. They charged me £57 for an automatic subscription renewal that I never intended to continue. Despite contacting them immediately to request a refund, they refused to help.

I haven't used any of their services during this renewal period, yet they still took my money. Their customer service was unhelpful and dismissive, hiding behind their terms and conditions. This is a classic example of a company exploiting automatic renewals to take money from unsuspecting customers.

Avoid Holidog at all costs if you don't want to be burnt by their sneaky practices.

Was scammed paid £163 for the sitter to not to be there for me emailed holidog with the texts and the bank transfer no answer the couple are still advertising on holidog
Before that another sitter wanted an extra £72 which would of made it £225 for a week (think it was the ones that scammed me because I cancelled 😖😡😡😡

I would rate the Holidog website as a 3 out of 5, quite easy to do a search but confusing when you get a reply from a sitter who has rejected your offer as it just says 'closed' with no explanation, maybe a note to say unavailable would be better.
The only other sitter who has contacted me is VERY vague with their location, which is unhelpful when trying to plan which direction i would need to travel on the day of drop off as i would be very limited for time, and unless I pay the £57 membership I unfortunately can not get any further information.
I also think the membership fee is quite expensive for what is going to be a one off search for me. Maybe Holidog could consider doing a membership where you only have to pay for a month at a time, i am sure more people would join in the long run.
I would rate the customer support as a 5 out of 5 as they have answered my queries very promptly and professionally.

Holidog didn't reply my email... So I don't know whether all the sitters/boarders are licenced or not. Definately, wont be using their services.

Avoid! We sent emails for 50 dog sitters only one is replied and wanted money at the front which was a scam. I paid £59 for subscription to talk with scammer and when we realised we being scammed i email several times the company to get a refund but no reply! This is not trustful page and avoid it! We will take our matter to police now.

I used holidog to find a trusted pet sitter near me whilst I went on holiday...I was able to read the different profiles and came across this absolutely amazing lady in Porthleven Cornwall...she had my dog for 2 weeks in her own home and she was fantastic...my Labrador was well looked after and would have no hesitation in using her again and highly recommend her. It was a straight forward and easy process to book her from start to finish....and I returned home From my holiday to find a very happy healthy dog...he could not have been in safer more loving hands.

This was a really helpful service when my partner and I lived in France for 3 months last year and needed a local, very well-priced dog sitter from time to time. We’re returning to France later this year and will use again without a doubt :)

No customer contact. Take subscription without permission so I’ve now paid £114 to Holidog’s for one sitter ( I wouldn’t mind if it actually went to the sitter because I really like her).
Absolute air silence. No reply from the customer feedback form or from the emails sent. Will be taking consumer action.

Terrible service. First you have to pay the membership fee, and then they still charge 4e for booking a sitter. I booked one sitter, but in the conversation with her I realized that she has no idea about cats, and I tried to cancel, but that was not possible at all. Then I booked another one, but when I asked for a refund for the first reservation, I never received an answer. After that, they took my money for the next 3 months 10 days too early, even though I sent an email about the cancellation. They never answered me, even though I asked for a refund twice. I do not recommend this site to anyone. and I will certainly seek legal advice.

BE WARNED!!! I subscribed to what was advertised on the Holidog website as a 3 month membership with a one off payment of £57. Fast forward 3 months and to my surprise Holidog helped themselves to another £57 from my bank account. NO warning, no email prior to this. I complained and asked for my money to be refunded. I sent them screenshots of their advertising it as a 3 month subscription. I received one reply simply stating they had cancelled my membership and WILL NOT refund me my money. So they stole my £57, kept it, and cancelled my membership of the months that this money was supposedly paying for!!!
Absolutely disgusting customer service and fake advertising on their website. I have since contacted them 3 times and have no response. STAY AWAY

After reading the reviews first (so pleased I did) I did a free search for a dog sitter, there was many come up in my area and I sent out a free message to aprox 45 people all these were advertised on the search as £10 per night, out of the 45 3 people replied, each person said £264, this wasn’t adding up at all, so I contacted customer service to ask why they were advertised at a price then come back more than treble, I mean I don’t mind the cost is the cost but surly that’s false advertising, they replied completely ignoring my question saying if I pay the fee I would be able to go further.

They advertise the wrong prices then want you to pay their fee before they tell you it’s treble what they advertise

I would strongly avoid using this company and find someone by word of mouth
