Return issues …

On March 28, 2026, I purchased a girls’ dress (size 3–8 years, item #1329768) at West Farms Mall. The item had a red 20% off tag; however, the discount was not applied at checkout. For this purchase, I used a 15% discount from the recycling/garment collection program.
On April 8, 2026, I returned to the same store to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I did not receive an apology for the inconvenience of having to return and spend additional time correcting this mistake. Additionally, the cashier was unable to apply the extra 15% discount.
When I asked to return the item due to these issues, I was informed that the original card used for payment was required. This is not typically required by most retailers these days, and I did not have the card with me at the time. As a result, the issue remains unresolved, and my time was wasted.

Ordered kayali perfume set + lipgloss

Ordered kayali perfume set + lipgloss. There was a campaign, buy 2 pruducts to get 20% off the order. The only option for delivery was home delivery (10€) because of the perfumes. The perfumes were ”sold out” (they are STILL AVAILABLE TO BUY ON THE SITE!) so they shipped the lipgloss for FULL PRICE PLUS SHIPPING 10€! I was not informed in any way about this, that the perfumes were ”sold out”. Can’t cancel the order, cant send it back without paying for shipping… Now I have to pay 30€ for a lipgloss I don’t even want. I will NEVER buy from H&M again, I’m done.

Retailers, heroes we've forgotten about

We all know that retailers are push to their limit daily, not only by their bosses, but also by impatience customers. That said, I popped into the H&M in Victoria Centre in Nottingham to make a purchase only to be faced with the usual dilemma we all seem to find in that whatever size you require is never on the rail and trying to find a customer server is usually out of the question. However, on this particular day I spotted a lone server working extremely hard by the name of Veg tidying and merchandizing the shop floor, As usual I apologise first for interrupting a very busy person to ask my question. Veg immediately stopped what she was doing and set about scanning the floor to locate the size I needed. It didn't take Veg long to find my size albeit not being the colour I wanted, but I knew she made the mistake unintentionally. However, Veg possibly knew from the look on my face I needed to purchase a tracksuit that day based information I had given her. When I thought all was lost Veg returned to me again after managing to find my size to my delight, and also informed me that if I wasn't a member I could join today and get £5 off my purchase. Veg went that extra mile yet again by reminding the cashier about signing up new members just in case it slipped her mind due to how busy she'd been.

2x online orders not delivered

I made two orders with H&M several months apart, both of which were due to be delivered by Evri. Neither order arrived, and they stopped providing tracking updates.

H&M did eventually issue refunds, but it took over a month from purchase to refund.

This issue with their courier has been going on for months without being resolved. What a waste of time and money, and I'm no longer confident ordering from them.

Faulty Faux leather jacket

I purchased a faux leather jacket, the sizing is completely out, I ordered a small this jacket was very oversized, so I started a return before I packed it up, I then noticed a piece of masking tape on one of the underarms, as I was folding it up, and loose stitching next to the tape, I tried to contact someone but the only option was a chat. I was given a 15%discount to purchase something. I took a photo but while I was on the chat I had an appliance delivery so I had to deal with that. Also when I tried to save the transcript the page froze. Later I managed to send it to their email address with the attachment of photo, not heard back. It looked like this was done before and sent back by someone else. I am a size 8 and petite.

I was ready to buy this shirt on the…

I was ready to buy this shirt on the spot—but H&M wouldn’t sell it to me.

The only one in my size was on a mannequin (see photo), and staff told me it’s “company policy” not to remove items. Fair enough—but then they told me I could order the exact same shirt online and come back later to pick it up.

So instead of making a sale right there, they expect customers to leave, order online, and return later for the exact item already in the store.

That’s not customer service—that’s unnecessary friction.

A little flexibility would have made this an easy win. Instead, I walked out without buying anything.

Missed sale, frustrated customer.

We Gnomes Are Tired Of This!

Those are knights in disguise! Not people! They kick us gnomes out and don't let us back in! All Hail Crawly! Just Kidding! H&M Is a great place to go shopping for good clothes and stuff like that. I definitely recommend it.

Rip off returns

H&M have started charging €1.99 per order for returns. If you return 2 orders in one parcel it's 1.99 for each. Total rip off. Zero incentive to group returns together for the sake of the environment. Other retailers charge per parcel.

Don’t go to H&M vista mall sta Rosa Laguna. The moment you stepped in you can feel na parang nasa aquarium ka or watched in a microscope. Every move mo may naka tingin syo. Very awkward, they make you feel na magsha shoplift ka. Very poor customer service, pag makakasalubong mo ung staff nila naka simangot na akala mo may bayad ang ngumiti, ni hindi ka nan lang babatiin in other words mga disrespectful at mga walang modo. H&M, you should train your staff well and teach them the GMRC.

I won’t be shopping at H&M again

I won’t be shopping at H&M again. I purchased an item that turned out to be faulty and returned it only to be told the return was rejected because it had been “worn.” They are now refusing to issue a refund and are sending the faulty item back to me. This is completely unacceptable, how can a clearly faulty item be dismissed like this? The customer service team seems to rely on automated responses and shows a lack of understanding of basic consumer rights. I will now be pursuing a refund through my payment provider. Extremely disappointing experience.

Disappointing service

I recently had a disappointing experience while trying to resolve an issue with a faulty item of clothing. The app’s customer service team provided only generic responses and redirected me to the store. I was then put through to a manager—despite not requesting this—who came across as condescending and incorrectly suggested that I didn’t believe the agent, which was not the case at all.
This was particularly frustrating, as my in-store experiences with the shop floor staff have always been positive. Unfortunately, this interaction did not reflect the same standard of service.

They tell me it will be delivered by X but actually may not be. Item doesn’t arrive so given another date but again advised this jd just an estimate.

Told me delivery charge will be refunded but only once it’s delivered 🤯

I won’t buy from them again. Awful company.

1 start because i can’t rate it with 0. They only sell maternity clothes online, of course more expensive than the rest of the collection, and then they offer you the worse online experience they can. They’ve known my order wasn’t going to be delivered for 4 days now and their solution is to tell me that I have to wait to get my money back. They haven’t tried to solve the issue once, they haven’t contacted the delivery company once, and I’ve contacted them for 3 days now to get the same shitty response “please contact us tomorrow”. Still waiting for them to process my refund even though my parcel got lost 4 days ago
