A Rip Off

I placed an order for a light summer quilt but all I got was a single bed sheet. That cost $51 for the item and shipping. It was not what I wanted or ordered, very disappointing. Overpriced too and will never deal with this company again.

If you value your hard earn money, don't buy from them!

I should have read the review here before purchasing from Pinkoi. I ordered a total of £120 goods which I shouldn't have needed to pay for extra import VAT, for some reason the seller decided to declare the parcel as gifts instead of commercial goods, I ended up having to pay for the extra fee. I then contacted their costumer service letting them know the situation, they kept telling me that I am the one that's responsible for the extra tax! I would be if I was the one that asked the seller to declare my parcel as gifts but I didn't and it was not stated on her website either! Why should I pay for someone else's mistake! Plus, its illegal to declare commercial goods/sales goods as gifts! Not only she's done something illegal, but I am the one that having to pay for it! Not happy with the situation at all!

I would advise caution!!

I would advise caution if you're thinking of using this website. I only did so as the item I wanted couldn't be obtained anywhere else from the designer. They tempt you with a first order discount to use their app. But I found that when my bank suspected fraud and failed my first payment, I couldn't use the discount code when I tried a second time. I wrote to their customer service who wouldn't refund me the discount and instead expect me now to place a further order to receive it. Tbh I'm not comfortable using this site if my bank are twitchy and having read the reviews on here I wish I hadn't. I will be uninstalling the app and praying that the item I ordered actually turns up, as I doubt my credit card company would help after I authorised the payment. Just be careful! If you can buy the item elsewhere then do so!

Impossible to deal with. Does not respond to emails. Will not recognize my password and I cannot reset it. Do not deal with this company unless absolutely necessary.

Not safe

Not safe. Sellers do not respond to requests / questions. Support is useless. Support topics are incorrect / misleading - probably posted to stop customers from leaving. Cannot delete account. This site is dangerous. I would not purchase or even create an account.

They should change their name Pinkoi to SPAMkoi

They should change pinkoi to SPAMkoi. They spam you for lifetime with no choice.

I am not able to unsubscribe to their disturbing newsletter. I have made my complaint to the team. They assured me that it would not happen again. However, I still receive that email, while I have deleted my account associate with the platform.

I have made a decision to make a NEGATIVE review and report them on any platform available to punish their arrogance treating their customer.

Be very careful ordering on this site

Be very careful ordering from this website. While it is a legitimate platform, its policies are not customer-supportive and allows unethical seller behaviour to go unchecked.

They have a system in place which allows sellers to leave reviews for customers, which seems fair if a customer was being difficult or unreasonable. A rating that falls below a certain number prevents the buyer from purchasing on the site again.

However, this also encourages sellers to leave retaliatory feedback in cases where they received justified negative feedback about the quality of their goods or services.

My sister purchased an item for a birthday gift which unfortunately broke the very first time the recipient used it. Unfortunately as it had been ordered in advance, it was a couple of weeks after receipt that the breakage happened and the exchange/refund period had passed. When my sister mentioned that it would be nice if the one earring could be replaced, the seller explained the policy and my sister did not argue or say anything further.

She did however leave a review on the item, SOLELY about the item's quality. She did not at all mention the seller's immediate, continual defensiveness or poor service.

The seller's immediate response was to leave a retaliatory negative review for my sister, including a request to not "demand a free item", the obvious suggestion being that my sister had made these unreasonable demands (which was untrue as could be seen in their chats).

Naturally my sister wrote to Pinkoi about it, questioning the ethics of this, but all Pinkoi said was that they're just a third party platform and would not interfere.

Which therefore leads me to question their entire system. How can a customer make informed decisions about products if honest customers are fearful of leaving negative reviews? You can't even reply to the review to clarify anything. All my sister's other reviews are completely positive so this one negative only makes a small dent, but still. It makes one wonder about all the "positive" product reviews one sees, and all the negative reviews which SHOULD be seen, but aren't. The system effectively puts off honest, decent buyers from using the site (including my sister, myself and our friends).

Ebay's feedback FAQ puts it very well and Pinkoi should take a lesson from it:
We found that when buyers had bad experiences with sellers, they were often reluctant to leave neutral or negative Feedback out of fear that the seller would retaliate by leaving negative Feedback for them. And when buyers did receive unfair negative Feedback, they usually decreased their shopping on eBay. Overall, it became clear that the fear of retaliatory negative Feedback made it more difficult for good sellers to distinguish themselves from not-so-good sellers, and made the Feedback system as a whole less reliable.

Good company, but scammers use it

Ordered a hard-to-find teapot 126.35 + S&H 37.91 = USD$ 164.26 from well-known Tadami Hirota in Japan. A seller in Japan sent garbage, not a teapot, package weighed only 1.58 ounces. Payment to seller was by providing debit card info, so I cannot get a refund as if I used PayPal. Pinkoi may be a legitimate company, but some of their sellers are scammers, and a buyer has no security.

Pinkoi A Scam!

Pinkoi! A Scam! They claim they won't accept any counterfeit/copy products while 90% of the sellers sell items they actually purchased initially from Taobao, China. Besides their terms are cloned from other platform. In addition to the bad infrastructure.
