There is NO customer service

There is NO customer service. I received a confirmation of print and digital in November 2023. it is now April 2024 and no print edition yet. I have reached out 4 or 5 times and called the number provided (not available anymore), and still nothing. They have a no refund policy - wonder why? Seems like a scam on the print editions. Just sent two emails begging for someone to respond. I'm not hopeful. Stay away from this site - don't give them any money unless you want just half of the subscription promised.

Same as everyone else...no phone…

Same as everyone else...no phone answer, auto email response with no further communication. Yet today I get an email with a list of stories in the magazines I haven't received since last fall.

As far as I'm concerned you don't…

As far as I'm concerned you don't deserve any stars.
Renewed my husband's issues and have received 0. Cashed my check and nothing. 2 year renewal.
My husband is a vietnam veteran. He doesn't deserve this and neither does anyone.
I'm totally disappointed.

Same as all the others

Same as all the others. No issue of Vietnam magazine since summer of 2023 after sending in renewal of $75.00. Do not answer their phone and after several messages sent they now have the balls to send me e-mail messages to subscribe to some of their other magazines. Useless company.

If I could have picked zero stars I…

If I could have picked zero stars I would have!

No Aviation history magazine since early 2023, no replies to my e-mails, when I call the contact ph# it just hangs up on you!

Folks you better make sure to cancel your auto renewal, they are still taking your money!

Bad/no customer service

I have been receiving World War II magazine since the first issue in 1986. I renewed my subscription last year but haven't received anything since the Summer 2023 issue. When I call it rings, clicks and goes back to the dial tone. I've sent 2 emails which they acknowledge they've received but then no follow up.
This is more than frustrating. This magazine is not cheap but I love it otherwise I wouldn't have subscribed to it for the last 37 years.
I recently got an email saying something about I soon wouldn't be receiving/or being able to access the history net newsletter. Not sure what that's about.
Bottom line I want the issues I paid for. And if it's gone digital then I guess I'm done. I so much more prefer the physical copy.
Bad way to do business especially to a loyal, long-time customer.

Company apprently is out of business

Based on my inquiries with Historynet, it appears that the company is out of the print business and will no longer be responding to customer inquiries, accepting new or renewal subscriptions or providing refunds.

My Military History subscription…

My Military History subscription expired in July, '23. Just checked Historynet.com to renew/resubscribe. Notice at the top of the MH subscription page says they ARE NOT accepting ANY new subscriptions. Their entire catalog of magazines has been MIA from local stands for months. If they're not bankrupt or in bankruptcy; they're faking it well. Be warned!

Lack of response from history.net

I have experienced the same lack of customer service as everyone else. Been receiving Vietnam for many years. Never did receive a renewal invoice and haven’t received a magazine since the fall. Was dealing with Admiral, who said they were handling history.net issues. No response from them. Won’t mess with them again.

Vietnam magazine AWOL

I renewed my Vietnam magazine subscription for 2 years in June of 2023. As of January 15, 2024, I haven't received an issue since the Summer 2023 edition. I tried to call customer service today at 1-800-435-0715, but all I got was a recording stating there is no one available to take my call.

Hopeless service

I have been subscribing to different Weider/Histoynet Magazines for many years: MHQ (2012-2020), Military History (2021-2023) and Aviation History (2012- ). Until 2021 deliveries were regular and reliable – Of course there were a few missing issues, which is expectable when you deliver across the Atlantic Ocean (I live in Denmark). But these were always quickly replaced upon request.

Since 2021, deliveries have been unreliable, with multiple issue delayed and slow replacement when reported missing. I have made customer support aware of the thin plastic wrapping not being robust enough for international shipping, but apparently to no avail. Further, it turned out that it is impossible to call your support, since you only provide a 1-800 number. These cannot be called from outside USA. Earlier, it was possible to call directly.

Lately, I tried to renew my subscription online, but it proved impossible to do for several weeks, because your setup did not support customers based outside USA. That was fixed...

Further, the latest issues of Aviation History will only be available in an electronic version. Surprisingly, no information was provided directly. Electronic versions are unacceptable for me. I made subscription service aware of this two month ago – no response - and resend the message one week later – still no response. I also made it very clear, that I will not accept electronic replacements, and expected them to extend my subscription to handle the missing hard copies. No reaction to this…

Temporary (Hopefully) Problems with Print Issues

Have had two magazine scripts with HistoryNet for several years and never had a problem receiving print issues in the mail... until the fall.

I called in the fall and was told printing had been temporarily suspended, and that all HistoryNet magazines were only available online.

A couple months went by and still got no issue in the mail, so called again January 10th, 2024. After being on hold about 20 minutes, the same CSR that I talked to in the fall picked up the call.

She noted my account and two scripts and said HistoryNet will make it right when they resume printing, but said she did not know why printing had stopped, or when it will resume, but the CSR said printing will resume, hopefully in time for Spring 2024 issues.

New contact

Contact this morning (1/19/24) `No issues received over 9 months, subscriptions to three of their products to run into 2025. Issues only on-line, not what I wanted (print). Refund pending. Glad to hear from them at last.

HistoryNet Should Be History!

I would give historynet.com a zero if possible! Being a social studies teacher, I paid for subscriptions for 4 magazines thru 2024 but only received my most recent ones in April 2023. Repeated emails and phone calls went unanswered and went to voicemail saying leave a message and they would get back to me. Needless to say, the worst customer service ever. A real shame since I have had the subscriptions since 2019 and had been very satisfied until 2023. At this point, do NOT pay for any subscriptions with this company. It is a scam to rip you off! Avoid this company like the plague. Lesson learned the hard way.
