Another amazing day with Rob! The children were engaged and immersed from start to finish.
I would highly recommend!

We had an absolutely fantastic Egyptian workshop. Our children thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the day. Rob kept them fully engaged from start to finish, and his depth of knowledge really brought the learning to life. The variety of artefacts was excellent, and the children particularly loved the hands-on experience, including scribing.
Rob was also extremely punctual and well-organised, which made the day run smoothly. This is now the sixth time we have used your company for our topic launches, and as History Lead, I cannot thank you enough for the consistently high-quality experiences you provide.
I am already looking at dates to book workshops for the next academic year and look forward to working with you again.
We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Historic Workshops to our school for a World War Two interactive session, and it was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish.
The workshop was led by Gareth, whose knowledge of the era was nothing short of phenomenal. He didn't just recite facts; he truly brought the realities of 1940s Britain to life. His passion for history is infectious, and he had a wonderful way of pitching the information perfectly for the age group, blending historical accuracy with brilliant, interactive storytelling.
The most impressive part of the day was seeing how highly engaged the children were. Gareth held their attention effortlessly throughout the entire day. Whether they were exploring artefacts, bandaging each other, or “putting out fires” students were completely captivated and eager to participate. It was wonderful to see our children so entirely absorbed in their learning.
Perhaps the truest testament to the success of the day came from the children themselves. As the day was wrapping up, one child came up to us and declared that the workshop was "better than home time!" If you work with children, you will know there is absolutely no higher praise than that.
We cannot recommend Gareth and Historic Workshops highly enough. If you are looking to enrich your students' understanding of World War Two and give them an educational experience they will remember, this is the workshop to book.

Fantastic Ancient Egyptian workshop for our Year 3 & 4 pupils! A great range of engaging, hands-on activities that kept all children involved throughout.
David was exceptional! Punctual, incredibly knowledgeable and brilliant at behaviour management. He kept the children fully engaged and ensured all needs were met. Every child left with a real sense of achievement.
Highly recommend!

Thank you so much for making our Topic Launch so superbly enjoyable this week! 'Castor' was great, maintained interest and enthusiasm with the children and responded well to their questions and queries. Information about the Greeks was delivered timely and appropriately for age group and content was relevant to what we will be studying in the next few weeks. We did wonder if it was possible to perhaps add some artifacts or have props the children could then use to participate - our TA suggested some costumes the children could put on, or props to use such as images or artifacts that showed the writing/games playing/images of the Spartans and Athenians. Some of our pupils enjoy the visual side of learning and found the abstract parts a little challenging (imagining the settings/characters). Despite this, the children thoroughly enjoyed Castor's humour and he was brilliant during the different sessions, challenging them and keeping them focused with the writing and games sessions. The resources that you brought were well organised and all were able to participate. Thank you so much! We hope you caught the plane safely back to Greece.

Bethany arrived in our school and immediately engaged the children in our class with her calm, informative and funny manner. The children loved the day learning about the Tudors and it was the perfect hook for our unit.
We have been using Historic Workshops for the last 18 months in school and never fail to be impressed by the quality of the service, staff and value provided. We hope to use them for years to come.

Rob was very engaging and knowledgeable. The children were interested from the very start of the day. We were thrilled with the battle especially as all children were able to participate in both roles. The archeological dig was excellent and I loved watching the children trying to work out what each item could have been. They were gripped by the individual conversations with Rob. I was surprised that all children were able to handle the larger resources in addition to exploring the artefact boxes. The witan caused a huge debate which continued through to today and the games were a huge success. We are very grateful for this experience. Thank you
Jess was excellent and brought expert knowledge and high energy to our school's Ancient Greek workshop. Thank you and hopefully see you again next year

A big thank you to Bethany for today's Maya workshop.
The chn loved the whole day. They loved the range of engaging activities that all could access and enjoy. I was particularly impressive to see you stay in role throughout the day, which really brought the experience to life and made it feel authentic.
Everything was clearly explained and well-organised, ensuring the day went smoothly. And the feedback from the children was overwhelmingly positive, with many describing it as one of their favourite day.
Thank you again for such an engaging and immersive experience.

The leader was great - she stayed in character all day: there was a good range of activities and resources for children to see and handle. Great day!

Facilitator was engaging and kept the interest of the children. He was very knowledgeable and responded well to questions. Sessions were long enough to have a go, but short enough to keep interest. Sessions were well resourced and it's great the children get hands on with artefacts and use papyrus for writing. Perhaps change the voice-over on the maths powerpoint - it is more distracting than anything!

The Maya workshop was an excellent learning experience that truly brought the topic to life for the children. They were fully engaged from start to finish, showing great interest and enthusiasm throughout the sessions.
The practical elements helped deepen their knowledge, making the history and culture of the Maya feel real and relevant. The pupils particularly enjoyed the creative tasks, which encouraged curiosity, discussion and thoughtful questions.
Overall, it was a highly successful workshop that enriched the children’s learning and left them excited to explore even more about the Maya civilisation.

Historic workshop was fantastic. Rob arrived early in the morning with all of his resources to set up in plenty of time, before the children arrived. From the onset, it was obvious that Rob was full of knowledge about WWII and his passion for the subject was inspirational, informative and engaging for the children! There were 3 activities on offer: one outside, where the children learnt how to “move bombs and put out fires”, and two indoor sessions including how to treat injuries (stretchers and bandages provided) and a wealth of WWII artefacts for the children to explore (question sheets encouraged further investigation to deepen knowledge). It was a great dey, thoroughly enjoyed by all participants! Thank you!

Rob was great at engaging with the children. You could tell he loves History and his enthusiasm really shone through.
When he delivered the timeline the children were listening so intently because he made what can be a dry subject so exciting for them.
Excellent day!

I wouldn’t hesitate to book Historic Workshops again. Jess was brilliant- the day was fully interactive with lots of variety. The clay amulet-making was a real highlight. Thank you so much- the pupils will always remember their Egyptian Day at school.

Another fantastic Roman Day experience with Rob. The children absolutely loved all the interesting and varied activities. Rob was brilliant at getting the children engaged and was a great source of knowledge as the children fired questions him. Thanks from Year 4 at Worth Valley Primary School for providing a super day.

Gareth was a very good leader.
Engaging start and end.
Great artefacts workshop.
The children loved doing the first aid.
They really enjoyed the ARP activities.
The timeline activity was quite dry. That could be more interactive for the children.

We are a repeat-booker of Historic Workshops for our UKS2 children. The practitioners are experts in their field, and work well to engage and enthuse the children in the historical context (for our session: aspects of Ancient Greek life). The session was well-prepared and enthusiastic, will props and tools for children to use throughout the day. A Y5 pupil: "This is our best workshop at school yet." With an
easy online booking process, we booked 3 different sessions across the year to help enrich our students' learning.
