Money taken from my account without permission.

After purchasing an offer for 40 pence
(See a picture of the Man of Your Dreams)
Hint app took a further 4 payments, unauthorised by me, adding up to over £100 leaving me with £5 in my account.
When I emailed them, they sent what appeared to be a standard email claiming I had subscribed. This is totally untrue. They even took a further payment of £22 after contacting and cancelling whatever it was that I apparently had subscribed to.
I believe a this action is aimed at vulnerable people and feel very sad that some humans have got to the stage of treating vulnerable people this way, for money.
Let their conscience be their guide.
I will closing my PayPal account so this cannot happen again and I definitely will be taking the matter further, starting with the citizens advice bureau.

After a 1-time purchase be sure to check all emails inc Junk

CHECK ALL CORRESPONDENCE…..INC JUNK BOX!
I succumbed to requesting one of the soulmate portraits just after Christmas from a notification advertising it as £1.00.
I paid for this via PayPal for safety. The £1 was taken in two 50p transactions, which I felt was odd.
I didn’t download the app or authorise any further payments and thought that was that.
Yesterday I received notification from PayPal stating I had authorised £24.99 via a temporary payment??
Had PayPal not have emailed me I wouldn’t have known.
I raised a PayPal case straight away to claim the money back, cancelled any further payments and left a review to warn others.
I hadn’t seen any clear upfront warning this would happen from ordering a one off portrait.
BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD BIT…….(the update)
Within a hour of leaving the review I was contacted by hint.com customer services requesting more info for this to be looked into. Following the supplied info they have addressed the matter, apologised for the situation and refunded in full.
(Incidentally PayPal rejected the claim so much for buyer protection)
Hint.app customer service has been excellent, efficient correspondence and am so grateful it’s sorted.
I have since seen an email in my junk mail regarding an auto subscription but as far as I was concerned the one time purchase was the end if it so I had no reason to follow anything up or check.
Thank heavens for good after sales customer service.
Thank you Hint.app

Total scam

Total scam. Me and friends paid 1 pound for a hint drawing as a joke. I was entered into an unknown subscription and had 29.99 taken from my account just before Xmas. Be careful, check for subscriptions and cancel them!

They are crooked as can be

They are crooked as can be. I paid for services, they had a special for their services for $1. Then they charged my card again, and then I tried to cancel per their online instructions, but, it wouldn’t accept the email address (I made sure I looked at the email I received and used the same one) but their site wouldn’t accept it. Stay away from Hint.com they say they do sketches to find your soulmate. They did a great storyline, with many so called previous couples with their photos. Yes, I feel stupid.
