This site is absolutely useless
This site is absolutely useless ! A lot of profiles , clearly fake ones ! I must have written to hundreds and hundreds, maybe over a 1000 in last 3 months , with about 3 responses - and they turned out to be fakes ! This is simply an elaborate scam , do not touch !
Avoid Hinge. Stay away.
Outrageous treatment of people by Hinge. I was banned after just one day of using the app with no explanation. I did not get a chance to match or talk to anyone. All uploaded photos were recent and verified. Very poor dating app. Stay away from Hinge.
Hinge supports prostitutes
Hinge supports prostitutes. HUGO is the Hinge employee who supports prostitutes most. There are a lot of Hinge reviews regarding being banned from the site. It is correct that Hinge will ban a user based on the baseless accusation of another user.
In my case, I left a prostitute, who I met on Hinge, at a restaurant table (she belonged in a jail), when she told me she was a prostitute. In her bitterness, she reported me to Hinge. Hinge promptly banned me. When I (I have ways of tricking Hinge's algorithms) reported her as a prostitute -advertising on Hinge, selling sex- Hinge did nothing.
Hinge is full of prostitutes, IG networkers, fakes, and scammers.
Hinge will also try to keep your money if you're a paid member. Just dispute the charge with your bank. You'll win, every time. Cheers

All they do is blatantly scam people and for some reason they get away with it
I have no idea how you can scam people with impunity for such a long time, but the fact is that Hinge is still working even with so mighty legitimate rivals like AFFinders.com
They must be quite good at fooling people by making a very positive first impression. Initially, it's an easy sell but once they know your bank details they automatically subscribe you for a full year membership, take your money and then find a silly reason to ban your account. In my case when they banned me they did not even bother to provide any explanation. They just don't care about customer complaints. Unbelievably blatant scam! Rascals!
Banned for nothing, no answers, no respect
I was banned from Hinge without warning and my appeal was denied with a copy-paste reply. No explanation, no chance to understand or fix anything.
I’ve since learned this happens to thousands of people. Hinge has nearly 7,000 complaints in the last year on the Better Business Bureau, the majority from users saying they were banned for no reason. A report highlighted by Fast Company found Hinge gets 4 times more complaints than Tinder and over 8 times more than Bumble, and 98% of those are about bans just like mine.
It’s clear this isn’t a rare case, it’s a broken system that punishes real users while giving zero transparency. Paying for a subscription is a gamble when your account can vanish overnight with no explanation.
Account banned for no reason and no explanation
As a male in his 50s who had previously enjoyed using Hinge, I’d set up a new account just recently. The morning after setting it up again I had some 30 or so notifications, unfortunately around 3 that afternoon I had a notification from Hinge saying that my account had been banned, no explanation, just a link to challenge their decision, which I did.
Shortly after I received another email stating that my appeal was unsuccessful and that their decision was final.
I hadn’t talked to anyone yet, my profile was respectful and there was no nudity apart from a beach photo (shoulders up).
I’m massively disappointed in Hinge as I’d not flouted any terms or rules and with absolutely no explanation or way to appeal, it has left me with a real sense of disappointment and frustration.
I will never use Hinge again and will never recommend them to anyone moving forward. It seems looking at similar posts online there is a real problem with the way things are flagged or triggered (human or not) with profiles and with no way to appeal or to know what’s happened, it’s not a company worth giving your money to.
Hinge banned me …
Hinge banned me after I went on a date with someone and decided he wasn’t for me. I politely turned down a second date. He contacted Hinge and told them that I am not the same person in my profile. Unbelievable despite the fact that my account is verified and I had passed the facial recognition. Avoid this company like the plaque

This is the worst app I’ve ever been on. All they wanna do even after you pay for a membership is sell you more crap. It never stopped. They jammed down your throat sideways. They block you from looking at things so you have to consider paying for something else total bull crap what a scam they should be shut down
Update: I cannot live with myself for letting them take advantage of me so I file complaint with my bank and was given a credit refunded. Will never fall for that again total waste of time if it was free, I wouldn’t waste my time with them.
Does nothing for your self worth
So far ( 3 months in) only 1 like returned out of 100’s sent out . This site doesn’t do much for your self esteem . Met up with one person , who then ghosted me.
Was under the assumption that for all I had paid for a subscription I would be at least matched with compatible women. And the women don’t have to pay to use the site 🤷🏻♂️WTF typical that men are expected to pay for everything in this equally liberal world 🥴

Hinge is awful
Hinge is awful. The design of the platform is clean, smart and easy but they have banned my account for no reason at all I keep sending me the same old automated scripted mumbo-jumbo that doesn't actually answer any of my questions. They say that I violated their terms but I've been on there about a week and barely even spoken to anybody. I dated one person who was a complete liar and a Gaslighter who lied about smoking drinking and taking drugs on his profile saying that he didn't when he did. I met him under these false pretences so I don't know exactly how that keeps people safe and why my account has been banned. They've not given me a reason they've just falsely accuse me. They've got absolutely no evidence at all because I haven't done anything wrong. It's not safe and they banned the wrong people.
Banned for Being a Black Woman
I downloaded Hinge with real hopes of finding love and being intentional about who I connect with. After changing my location to Shanghai, I began receiving attention—but instead of meaningful matches, I was suddenly banned without explanation.
I received a generic response from Hinge saying I “violated community guidelines,” yet I never harassed, scammed, or misrepresented myself. I had a verified voice prompt, a real photo, and followed all rules. The only thing I “did wrong” was be a confident Black woman existing outside the box people try to force us into.
I truly believe I was mass-reported out of racism, and Hinge’s moderation system failed to protect me. Worse, they refused to provide any proof or explanation—even in my appeal. Just “this decision is final.”
This app is clearly not built to protect Black women or users of color from xenophobia and targeted abuse. If you’re Black, femme, or just different—be warned: you’re not safe here.
Disgusted and done.

I was a long-time verified user on Hinge, always using the same phone number and never violating any rules. Despite this, my account was permanently banned without warning or explanation.
Support only responds with generic templates, and my case was never reviewed by a real person.
It seems many real users are being removed without cause, while fake profiles remain. This app lacks transparency and fairness. Very disappointing.
Deliberate fake profiles.
I’m seriously suspicious that the profiles are fake. I was subscribed for around 2 months so I had a good view as to the amount of likes I was getting (it wasn’t a lot). As soon as I let my subscription lapse, I get 8 likes in one day (but, of course, I’d have to resubscribe to see who they are and communicate with them). Also, while I was subscribed, the amount of women who’d chat then ghost was pretty high. I suspect the admins are controlling these profiles to bait customers.
Misogyny Enablers
1 is too high for this company. I was banned after a man reported me due to me being too unwell to meet him for a date, and entirely disregarded my appeal. They are enabling Andrew Tate-level of misogyny, when apps were intended to empower women by giving them full control to choose.

I joined in good faith thinking I would have some success.I joined and within 24th hours banned with no reason.I was told I violated their Terms . I did not have any conversations with anyone nor in the short time go on any date The worst is they said I violated their terms and forfeit my paid membership. I think this is clearly fraud and a scam. After the fact they said oh please send us a picture of your license for verification appeals process.Really send a picture of my license. No telling what they would do with that info. Don't waste your time nor money which is no better than a criminal organization.A totally despicable organization.

Yesterday I created a new hinge account with my phone number and not even a day after I was banned for no reason. I only swiped on 5 people. They banned me for no reason, this should be investigated.
Banning valid users left right and…
Banning valid users left right and centre without explanation. Clearly implanted an AI policy enforcement agent and have not considered the consequences or spent time adequately testing. Using their user base and a test cohort and ruining the experience in the process….
