I was able to book my reserved seat easily however I had some trouble retrieving my e-ticket. I was not able to transfer it to my AppleWallet app. Thankfully I saved a copy of it in my Notes File.

The experience was easy
The experience was easy, but somewhat confusing since i did the booking before the train company started issuing tickets. Also the RailNinja app does not work. I give it my email but it doesn’t send me an OTP to sign in.
As a follow up, I received a lot of help from RailNinja and my problem was solved. I also used the High Speed Trains app and it worked first time. Ready for my trip!

Cancels your first train, then keeps your money for the second — “voucher only” is not a solution
I booked two train tickets through HighSpeedTrains for Indonesia: Jakarta → Yogyakarta and Yogyakarta → Malang. The first train was cancelled twice close to the travel date. The “solutions” offered were either an unworkable time or a much more expensive alternative.
Because the second ticket depended on arriving in Yogyakarta, the Yogyakarta → Malang ticket became effectively unusable. HighSpeedTrains refunded the cancelled leg, but then refused to refund the second leg, hiding behind “Saver tickets are non-refundable/non-modifiable” and offering only a voucher.
Here’s the problem: when your first leg is cancelled twice and you’re travelling on a tight schedule, you can’t gamble and “wait and see.” We had to buy a completely new direct ticket (Jakarta → Malang) elsewhere because the date was approaching and we feared we’d be left with no transport. HighSpeedTrains then suggested we should still “use” the Yogyakarta → Malang ticket and offered a voucher — which is useless once you’ve already had to replace the whole itinerary.
This feels unfair and like a company policy designed to push the risk onto the customer. A reasonable solution would be a cash refund for the unused second ticket.

We’d like to clarify that the tickets were booked as separate journeys on different dates, rather than as a single connecting trip. The Yogyakarta → Malang ticket was arranged based on availability for that specific day and was not automatically linked to the first segment.
As the Saver tariff selected for the second booking does not allow changes or refunds, the train carrier did not approve a refund for that ticket, since the service itself remained available and was arranged as booked.
We regret that this outcome did not meet your expectations and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

never use highseedtrains.com it is a scam they charge 40% premium over the ticket price that you can find on the official websites like in spain trenes.com and for that 40% they do not provide any extra service. I requested a date change 1 second after booking and the answer was "not possible" if i am paying 40% premium i expect a minimum level of flexibility. The only thing they offered was a voucher for 50% of what i paid! horrible experience. I refused the voucher and i will never use their services again
