After driving all day with 3 grand…
After driving all day with 3 grand toddlers we signed in as part of a family group, to find the pool was closed. It's the reason we book a hotel. This was in July, I dont think the pool had ever been opened this year. I would like to post a picture of it here but I will send on request. on to other sites now......
Not interested in new business
Might be a good idea to answer the phone, Live Chat simply useless, what a way to run a business.
IGF failed on this attempt
This was supposed to be a good experience with igf hotels I usually never have a issue until this day walking several flights up the stairs to the 7th floor 😔😔 I'm not built for that anymore I remember I had to walk down 26 flights of stairs at the Atlantic Palace in Atlantic City because of a power outage that was different. This when a person got stuck in the elevator and they only had one elevator working and you had numerous patrons all throughout the hotel lobby. Waiting for this one elevator to arrive we know things happen but to prevent it and be proactive, it shouldn't be a mandate, especially when these hotels that's IGF me being who I am a hotel reviewer. This is not going to deter me from going back to a igf hotel. But this is unacceptable for this establishment. As a hotel reviewer I give that incident a one star. The room was clean. Staff was friendly but to have this happen. Imagine if somebody had a wheelchair or it's Even handicap this is a no-go. Apparently I can't put the video up here because it doesn't take video. Only pictures. I posted the video up on my scoopz page I'm Mac from mack11media digital news 🗞️ 343 West 39th Street, 8th avenue, Holiday inn Express
I've had a better experience at a second rate hotel in Wroclaw, Poland
We were trying to book two rooms at Holiday Inn in Columbia, SC. It went like this:
Agent: Yes, we have two rooms, I understand you want one room for three adults and one room with two queen beds for 3 adults.
Me: That’s correct.
Agent: I will be happy to help. We have those rooms available. I will first book the room for the single adult.
Me:. Can you book both rooms? They are both to be charged to the same credit card.
Agent: I am booking the room now.
Me: [gives credit card info]
Agent: The cost will be $xxx. {proceeds to read several paragraphs of legal boiler plate ending with an emphatic “THE RESERVATION CHARGE IS NON-REFUNDABLE”] I will now book your second room] I will now book your other room.
Pause
Agent: I’m sorry the room for three adults is no longer available.
Me: What? Didn’t you reserve both rooms.
Agent: Sorry, it’s no longer available.
Me: Well can we reserve three rooms? Two single rooms and one room with a queen bed sleeping two?
Agent: Yes, of course. I will now reserve he second room. I understand you want to use the same credit card for that room. [Goes through same lengthy legal boiler plate]
Me: [Interrupting] Wait! Can you please book both additional rooms so we’re sure they are available?
Agent: [Ignores me; continues with legal gobbledygook.] Yes.
Pause
Agent: I’m sorry, we have no more rooms available.
Me: What? You didn’t reserve both rooms as I asked you to do and now we have one non-refundable room and no others are available?
Agent: I will have to confirm, may I call you back.
The Agent hangs up. We are ghosted, left with one non-refundable charge and not enough rooms for the family.
Never again.

Holiday Inn Express St. Augustine Dtwn - Historic
Our online travel company sent a family (2 adults/2 Children) here for a weekend. The guests were visiting St. Aug for their 7yr old's birthday. They wanted a clean, safe, budget conscious option close to the Historic area. Clean beds after a day full of activities in the area was more than what they got! We sent some cake and balloons to the hotel's front desk and their team took it to the next level! Towels folded into animals, the cake and balloons set up perfectly on display, and just simply friendly service made their weekend super special. The kids said the "pool was the a bunch of fun too"! Thank you HIE Team for making that 7yr olds birthday visit perfect.
Really great
Manchester Oxford Road was perfect. Inclusive breakfast made for a great start to the day, usually I wouldn't pay for hotel breakfast as crazy expensive anyway. Clean, smart and super staff.
Booking cancelled and still waiting for suitable reallocation.
Booked a London room for September and paid in full but was emailed last Sunday to say that the hotel had closed and we had been relocated to an alternative hotel. Room offer was unsuitable as allocated a double bed rather than the twin I had booked. The offered hotel was NOT a Holiday Inn Express but a cheap 3star hotel with consistently bad reviews, the room cost was cheaper than my original booking.
I emailed to complain and was told that they would look at more suitable hotels in the hotel group and respond within 24-48hours. 5 days on and still waiting despite sending a chaser email. Very disappointed at the way this has been handled and had expected better.
Miserable experience
We were promised a room on the ground floor but were told on arrival that we had been booked on the 4th floor and that there weren't any rooms on the ground floor!
Staff could have explained the way the hotel works better (We didn't even know how to turn the lights on as our entrance card had to be placed in a cradle for that to work)
Air conditioner high on the wall spilt water all over the floor. Towels all over the floor for the two days we were there.
I had to tighten the door handle to the bathroom every day to secure on the bathroom door
No power socket near the bed for use of a CPAP machine (had to use an electric power cable across the floor)
Main light's bulb was broken
Bathroom was very poor and I knocked the toilet roll off the holder every time I sat down
Door lock keys that work (second day our keys were useless)
Awful bed clothes (we thought they had not put any on)
To appease us they said that they would give us a full refund but this has not happened
Stayed at the one in Warick
Stayed at the one in Warick. It was a toss-up between this and the travel lodge but glad i chose this for a change. Lovely room and staff very accommodating. Had to pay for parking, but it was £10 and we both had a free breakfast so quids in. Also, easy to branch off motorway, then back on in the morning.
Terrible service at Holiday Inn Express…
Terrible service at Holiday Inn Express Leicester on 16/17 July. AC was not working and were only informed on arrival. To add insult to injury they allowed 1 small fan in the room for 3 people. Room was stuffy and couldn't sleep. They refused to give any more fans and refused to give any money back. Rip off merchants. Highly unprofessional and unreliable. Never again!
Disliked · I informed the property…
Disliked · I informed the property beforehand that I was stuck in Belfast due to Easy Jet canceling a flight. So I was not going to be able to make the booking. I asked them to reconsider their decision to charge a cancellation fee as this was not my fault. They did not respond to my request or several follow up enquires . I was ignored and left out of pocket.
Just do what you say you will do
The hotel had confirmed that there was a twin room allocated. However once we arrive they said that there was no twin availability.
All you ask is that the hotel keeps there written confirmation and gives a twin room.
This was Incredibly embarrassing as was travelling with a work colleague.
The hotel staff just brushed and said they had nothing available and it would have to be a double room. It was prepaid so we couldn't go anywhere else. Their customer service has been the same post stay. They clearly don't care about their guests and is just there for profit
The room was clean but the bathroom had cracked tiles. We also had the breakfast which was average but no fried eggs just very dried up scrabbled eggs
If I could leave 0 star I would.

i have been trying to reach out about a lost item and they all hang up on u or connect you to a line nobody picks up!
I followed all the right steps and still nobody cares. So much for being a loyal IHG member and as wel as having worked for the company myself this is complete bogus! I would not waist my money here.
Holiday Inn Express NW Parkway Wisconsin NIGHTMARE!
On June 19th, my daughter, booked two rooms at your hotel—one under her name and the other under her friend's name. We were traveling from Indiana to Menominee for a family gathering, and we checked into the hotel without any issues. The payment was made using my credit card.
After checking out on the morning of June 20th, I noticed an unexpected charge of $106.11 for an extra night on one of the rooms. My daughter contacted their customer service, and we were informed that it was a mistake and that a refund would be processed within three business days. However, instead of receiving the refund, I was charged an additional $106.11, and refunded 106.11 which canceled out the initial charge, leaving me without the refund.
I subsequently called customer service and spoke with a representative who opened a case for me and assured me that someone would reach out within 48 hours. Unfortunately, I did not receive any follow-up communication.
On July 1st, I contacted the hotel directly and spoke with the manager, Fannie Johnson. After explaining the situation, she mentioned that the room had been extended and that she had a card with my signature. However, the name on the card was misspelled, and the signature did not match mine. I requested that she review the security footage to verify our check-out, and she promised to get back to me later that day, but I did not hear from her.
I followed up again on July 3rd, and while she indicated that she had viewed some footage, she needed to review more. She assured me she would contact me that evening, but once again, I did not receive any communication.
As of today, July 4th, I am extremely frustrated with the lack of resolution and the poor customer service I have experienced. I was treated like a criminal.
Glasgow - Good value. Recommended.
To Glasgow for a city break. Five night stay at Holiday Inn Express - not used before. Slightly off-centre (no more than a couple of minutes walk) but easy enough to access. Clean, comfortable with a good range of offerings with a buffet breakfast included. This was the same each day, but with a fair range of choices - though eggs scrambled or scrambled, a bit like Henry Ford's any colour you like so long as it is black. Limited bar area good for a goodnight beer, limited snack offering (Club Sandwich was good, but a sandwich not a meal), but as many eating options nearby, not an issue. But don't expect fine dining! Stored my luggage after check-out and before departure. I was originally going to move on to Edinburgh, but hotels seem more expensive there, so went by rail - 45 minutes each way - saving the moving hassle and extra cost. If going on another UK City Break would look for Holiday Inn Express based on this experience, as a first-choice option.
The Holiday Inn Express on Garth Rd
The Holiday Inn Express on Garth Rd, Baytown, Tx.. The Staff is really polite but the attention to detail ie maintenance, needs extreme attention!! As I've walked thru this hotel making notes of pros and cons, it's apparent that, the General Manager doesn't care enough to put money back into her hotel. When I sit in the dining area, the damaged sheet rock screams out at me. I mean, how much time and money does it take to repair a couple of patches? Also, the pool gate need new locks and the outer doors to the hotel needs repair! I have another week here, so I will be dropping another review soon.

To all bookers and loyal members - do not cancel bookings and rebook at a different price/ points amount as they will not refund you!!!!!! Even as a loyal regular member which is crazy and disappointing!
Very friendly and helpful
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Tudor Road, Exeter. The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. I had a problem with the parking app which the staff resolved immediately. Excellent service and a good price.
Impressive super efficiency in helping their guests!
I was extremely impressed with staff’s super efficiency in dealing with guests’ problems at Holiday Inn Express Windsor.
I was kept informed at every step of the way.
I had stayed at this hotel a few times in the past having had good impression about this hotel without experiencing any problems.
During my latest visit, I have had an opportunity to experience problem solving skills coming from the top leader of this hotel.
I felt my long term loyalty was rewarded at this hotel and I felt very lucky to be able to stay at this hotel once again.
I am more than happy to recommend this hotel to any future guests!
This hotel’s friendly helpful staff will look after you very well for sure!
Thank you very much for your tremendous help to me!
See you next time!
Nightmare hotel
I’m a diamond elite member all I have to say avoid this hotel like the plague it’s a shame because some of the staff are nice and some of the staff are like we don’t care. My bathroom flooded and I was in room 200 which on the stairway lift oh my God the amount of traffic that goes through the it is ridiculously stupid because people slam the doors. They don’t have things that soft clothes on the doors every time someone went past my roomhave a door slammed or people shouting.
