The bidding process was very good - smooth, no issues or errors. Trying to obtain a list of items by Category is a challenge. Two reasons: 1. the system doesn't "hold" the Location I select. It goes b... See more

Good once you figure it out
Was able to win a fairly hi value item by figuring out the timing, even with a soft close.
Easy set up process but one suggestion based on my experience
Easy set up process, user friendly. Good experience overall. Honest feedback, when so many items close within a minute of each other, it’s difficult to navigate and be successful winning your bids. I had 12-15 items I was bidding on and trying to manage all but one within a 10 minute window was difficult. I ended up winning 6 out of the 12-15 items but because I was trying to manage so many bids at the same time it was impossible to stay up with it. A suggestion would be if you have similar items to spread them out to keep a bidders attention on the auction for a longer period of time. Just my two cents.
products are not tested well
products are not tested well, and they are lied about to work well, which creates trust issues with buyers. A few products I bought were supposed to be working fine, but they all have issues. I will not bid again.
A won notification popped up for a set…
A won notification popped up for a set of 3 mirrors that he was not bidding on- nor were we close to the lot numbers. It was just a fluke I guess. I messaged the auction house and they took it off our account right away.
Easy to use
Easy to use. Bids are easy to make. Soft close keeps it "auction fun". No problems with charges or payments.
Pictures could be better - show detail like makers marks. That is auction house, not hibid.
Platform works well enough
Platform works well enough. Would be nice to have filters on search results...why do I need to scroll through items that aren't local and the auctioneer won't ship?
Workman Auctions
The auction started promptly and no problems were incurred during bidding process. The statement was sent shortly after the end of bidding. Pickup instructions and address were given. My items were arranged in one area so I could pick up after paying. Items were as described.
I had to create a new account
I had to create a new account. The other two accounts did not let me bid on anything. I spoke with the auctioneer and they said they could see that I was registered but it would not let me bid. I would like to delete the other two accounts.
Time Saver with Better Descriptions
It's just like participating at an in-person auction from the convenience of being at home but with items selling much faster saving you time. Then go to auction site and retrieve items in minutes. I'm hearing impaired and with in-person auctions with unclear speaking auctioneers or poor sound systems, I miss details about the items. Many times auction assistants don't pick up or well display items being sold. The on-line pictures do a better job of describing the item.
No problems
The bidding process was fairly easy
The bidding process was fairly easy, bit would be nice if When it is in the final closing minutes of the auction it put the items that you have bid on or that are in your watch list at the top instead of having to scroll through everything to find them. Also the clock resetting in the last 5 minutes of bidding every time someone made a bid just seems really dodgy.
I like the Hibid platform in general
I like the Hibid platform in general, but Hibid needs to hold auctioneers accountable. Some of the Auction companies like Southern Tier Antiques got upset due to inquiring about the item I won and when would it ship and responded with an emails stating ill never receive the item. I have the email as a paper trail &record!!!!!!!!!!!!
You never know! Till you do.
Never know what things you can win at the auction. Love it!
END TOO LATE
ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS AFTER A WEEK OF WATCHING AND BIDDING THE FINAL HOURS TOOK SO LONG TO END I FELL ASLEEP
A GOOD ENDING TIME WOULD BE 8:00 PM
Only site I will bid on
Only site I will bid on, Premier service
Don't change a thing!
The site is very user friendly
The site is very user friendly. Everything went well. It is a hassle-free way to shop.
Great deals for me, but not so great for those running the auction!
Some of the HiBid auction sites post over 8000 items in a single auction. If I choose to look at every lot, it can take me up to 5 hours of just looking.
These auctions are screwing themselves, because a lot of people don’t look past the first 2000 lots. Lately, I’ve been able to win new / expensive items for less than 10% of their retail price, that show up for bidding, 4 or 5 (or 7) hours into the auction.
I grant that these auctions give me great deals, but sometimes, I feel a bit guilty for winning items with ridiculously low winning bids!
I didn't like that when I went to up raise my bid and the item disappeared and I had to hunt for it.…
I didn't like that when I went to up my bid, it disappeared on the screen and I had to find the item again. Also, some of the items I could clink and look at the picture bigger and other items would not open.
HiBid made using the auction site easy
HiBid made using the auction site easy. Great rapid app!
