One of four issues resolved favorably

My experience with the technician was dissatisfying at best. I did not understand his dialect causing multiple requests to pause and repeat.
The technician asked me review the work product before completion and became agitated when I declined his request.
At the end of the day, the technician installed a Microsoft upgrade that does not interface with my computer. I had to reestablish my printer connection.
On a positive note, the computer camera functions properly now.

This company is fraudulent

This company is fraudulent.
I called Hp for assistance with my Hp Printers subscription ink program. The tech asked me to let him in to my computer to see what the issue was. Told me the ink was fine. I would be getting the ink when it ran low, but it was not time. He then said there were some issues with the computer and showed me all the things wrong. I could sign up for a program with Support Nerds that would fix the issues on my computer, and it was a yearly subscription for 250.00. I thought Geek Squad at Best Buy is that much I will just do this. My computer was running better. 2 months later I got a call on 9/26/2022 from Alex at support Nerds Phone number 631-705-2839 telling me the program could not connect and was not working. They would give me a refund for 200.00 since it had been less than 3 months and apologized for the program not working. I would need to connect to my bank for them to deposit the refund. I got into my account and was told the transactions would be done in 2 separate actions. The first one was for 50.00 the second would be for 150.00. He asked me to note the amount in my account but not to tell him. I typed in 50.00 and the transaction completed. Suddenly there was 50,000 dollars in my account. I was shocked, he was upset said he would lose his job. The second 150.00 was never completed. He told me it was a technical error, and I would need to make a wire transfer from my bank to his company bank In Hong Kong. at first it seemed legitimate. I added the banks address to my banks wire transfer address book, but it was pending approval, so no money was sent. I told him I could not make it to the bank before it closed, and he was very aggressive and upset. I told him I would go in the morning. He then told me I was to tell the bank I was purchasing Medical Equipment for my business and not to mention what had happened. Red flags went up. I knew I would be telling the bank in the morning exactly what was going on. He called at 8am on 9/27/2022 and gave me a new bank address different from the one above and he was giving me an extra 300 for my time and trouble. He wanted me to stay on the phone the whole time into town. I told him I would lose service on the way in. I hung up and turned off my phone and went to my bank. I explained everything and yes it was fraud. They had transferred 50,000 from my savings to my checking account. I am lucky I am out the 250.00 from the original purchase.

I took my computer into the Geek Squad…

I took my computer into the Geek Squad to have it checked out. I told them the story on what Hello Nerds did. The Geek Squad found suspicious software on it from the Hello Nerds. The technician said that Hello Nerds tried to scam me. First off. They sold me a 5 year subscription to McCafee which according to the McCafee people, doesn't exist. Second, the people at Hello Nerds wanted me to sign onto my bank account to transfer a reimbursement which I refused. They are scammers! Beware!
