Didn't finish my order. Got billed anyway

Signing up was a hassle and choosing date and what to order was unnecessarily hard so I eventually gave up. Turns out a "default" order was already placed (someone pointed this out to me from the FAQ) but was not made aware of this anywhere during the process.
That default order btw was with meat and I'm vegetarian so…great!

They could not cancel it said customer service so now I'm being billed for an order I didn't place with food I can't eat.

So I've written to the email in the reply but just get a auto-reply email with the text:
'Tak fordi du har kontaktet HelloFresh Customer Care, vi er i øjeblikket lukket. Gå gerne til vores Hjælpecenter for yderligere support.'

So clearly that is not gonna make any difference.

By the way, if you filter for 1-star reviews you will see a lot of people with the same experience. As of right now they're 5 within the first 20.
The scam is complete.

I will try and make a complaint to forbrugerombudsmanden. I have a feeling this is what they would call malicious marketing.

Very bad service and very misleading…

Very bad service and very misleading website.
The only way you can view what is on offer is to sign up. I signed up to see the meals and then cancelled straight away but fours days later a payment was taken from my account. The delivery was supposed to arrive on the 11th Jan and never turned up. There is no way of actually contacting them from their website, their "help" section advises to call but doesn't provide a phone number. I only found an email address from replies to the reviews on this site. Overall would definitely not recommend.

The only thing you need to remember is our deadline for changes, which for deliveries between Saturday-Tuesday is Wednesday at 23.59, and for Wednesday-Friday deliveries the deadline is Sunday at 23.59. The payment is made every week after your deadline, either Thursday or Monday morning. Please note that only us in customer service can delete your first order, which is also described under our terms and conditions.

ALWAYS missing & rotten ingredients

Every single meal we've had since starting Hello Fresh back up has been either missing ingredients, things have been swapped, missing recipes or had poor quality ingredients. The ENTIRE box we received this time, every single meal was missing zucchini, tomatoes or similar. Every. Single. Meal.

After contacting support:
Hello fresh refunded the box, and cancelled further subscription on my request. The service is still not of the quality Lig needs to be for it to be a viable option. Will revise the reviews if we try again in the future.

Misleading and terribly designed website

HelloFresh... Hello Nightmare!!!!

So I was very satisfied using Aarstiderne for 2 years, but decided to give Hello Fresh a shot. What a BIG MISTAKE!
First, I had to sign up and give in the payment instructions BEFORE I could even see the menus because their website and app is a loop. But I was determined to test it, so well, let's go ahead. I planned 3 weeks of meals, and when I decided to change the delivery from Dec 31st to Jan 2nd, my nightmare began: I tried to choose the option of Jan 2nd (shown as available), but the date wouldn't be recorded. So I went to settings to ensure I received all deliveries on Mondays, only to have my initial date moved to Wed Jan 4th (I get it, due to new years they can't deliver on that Monday). But then I decided to cancel the first week... only to find out it is IMPOSSIBLE; even when it is a week in advance, because I can't change the first order. So I send them a message, write a bad review for their app and decide to contact their customer service, to hear that the number doesn't exist.
So now I am stuck with a service that I DEFINITELY DONT WANT, on a day that is completely inconvenient for me and my family, without support.

One of the best meal boxes

After trying both aarstiden and hellofresh, as well as using hellofresh weekly for a few months, I can only recommend Hellofresh. Sure there are things they need to improve as well which I will get to in a second.
First, the dish selection is great, all the dishes I have tried from here are restaurant quality. I love that you can make your own selection and choose your own box. The meat quality is one of the best. The vegetables and the rest are pretty decent. Quality is ok. Sometimes there are some minor missing ingredients or bad produce, but that does not happen often, and the great thing about it, is that I can report it on their website, and get compensation for it, hassle free. No arguing with any operator about it. Their delivery is always smooth with no problems.
I also like the recipe cards, they make cooking much more pleasant, since you can see how the dish is supposed to look and have all the steps, illustrated with pictures. My cooking skills have also improved considerably with Hellofresh.
So now the things they need to improve is the portion size. Most of the times, the meat size is ok, but sometimes not enough for a healthy average size adult to feel full. The vegetables, aside from the salads, I feel like they are a bit on the smaller size. They should be a bit more generous with that, considering the box price. And I have no information whether their products are oko or not, but since they dont say it, I assume it isnt. Oko products are not that more expensive especially locally ones, so I really do wish they would switch 100 % on the oko side. They would have a lot more customers with that. I dont mind paying a bit more on the box (reasonably of course) to have oko products.
Also ideally there should be no missing or bad ingredients so they should improve their quality control.
I also have some suggestions as well, which is that I wish they would expand to include breakfast or lunch dishes as well. Or a breakfast/lunch box. Then I would just do my food shopping with them exclusively. I also wish they would have dietetic dishes which are diet/fitness friendly. So thats all I can think of right now.
Overall I highly recommend them and will continue using Hellofresh as long as they hopefully improve or at least maintain the quality and reliability.

På nuværende tidspunkt tilbyder vi desværre ikke måltidskasser, der inkluderer diæt- eller fitnessvenlige måltidskasser - heller ikke morgenmad. Jeg melder mere end gerne dine idéer videre.

First of all I did not know that it is…

First of all I did not know that it is a subscription. They have really poor customer care service. I have tried multiple times and waiting long minutes without any answer. I just wanted to try once and they had me registered for every week without my consent. Be careful if you are subscribing to Hello Fresh. The ingredients they sent were fresh and nicely packed.

Not delivered

Very bad service. I have been waiting for my delivery, for hours, and it was not delivered. The answer from direct chat was "I just spoke with the delivery company about this and they told me that everything seems fine ..... I did not receive any specific answer about why you got such and info but they confirmed the box is on the way and you will soon receive an SMS with a new estimated time 🙂 " ".... I did not receive any further information about the delivery yet 🙁 The only thing they could tell me was that box seems to be canceled or somehow not delivered but that is not true and they will deliver this box to you asap. " I wonder - does HelloFresh consider it an acceptable service?

So good and fast

I was so surprised I had great experience. The meal were tasteful, full of flavor, the onion, garlic, pepper, soy sauce. Plus so fast and easy. I don't read Danish however I was able to follow the recipe with only the pictures.
I will definitely try again.

I really love your concept and recipes…

I really love your concept and recipes but this thing with missing ingredients is getting really annoying! I appreciate the human factor, I'm a human myself and I make mistakes. But then please develop a procedure of validating of the packages, QA or something like this.
