I generated a professional headshot with this company for $60. I also generated another headshot with another company for $6. You are definitely getting your money's worth.
$60 version: upload 1-3 photos of your face that are thoroughly checked for quality. You may also upload an optional full body photo to get the shoulders/proportions right. A few photos of the 40+ that were generated were usable. You can then edit the outfit, background, etc. Upgrading to 4k per photo is a credit. Removing blemishes is a credit. Changing the outfit is a credit. So on and so forth. That's where they nickel and dime you.
$6 version: shotgun approach that has you submit many many okay quality selfies and then you sift through AI junk hoping at least one semi decent enough to use on LinkedIn. You get what you get and hopefully one of them looks like you enough.
Overall, you can tell the difference between the $60 and $6 version in the experience but also in the final product.
My hope for the future of services like these is to not have to sift through meh photos. Instead, I would like to update a single passable headshot with comments like "The nose is not quite right. Try that again."
