Didn’t know they used to trade under…

Didn’t know they used to trade under this name
Got from T&C they broke earrings (that were already boxed) in packing told me must have happened in post claim from them
I’ve returned them and took a CCJ against them that’s going through but I guess they’re ripping as many ppl as possible before changing the company name again

GO ELSEWHERE

This place has the same owner as T&C Auctions Glastonbury who have just sent me my parcel that arrived with the biggest load of dirty, sh*tty rubbish I've ever had the misfortune to win at auction. The contents stunk of mould, god knows where he dug it all up from, an 80+ year old porcelain bowl was wrapped in only one filthy sheet of flat 'bubble wrap' so was obviously smashed to pieces ("it was fine when it left us") by the time it got to me, the glass in all the picture frames was cracked and some genius had taped a roll of maps together on the printed side so all the original print had come off. Oh yeah, the metal/glass 1950s alarm clock wasn't wrapped in anything at all..I guess that "was alright when it left" too.
May as well have flushed best part of £100 down the toilet.
Was told by the owner to claim on the insurance against parcel force!! Erm, no, the box was the only item that arrived intact.

It's not a coincidence that other reviewers mention that the items they've won look like they came from the tip. These clowns advertise that they do house clearances, however I would say the majority of their lots come from local recycling …More

Definitely not a place you can trust, make sure you never bid significant amounts because basically the place is a junkyard. If you have a complaint about a misleading auction you will not get any replies and phoning just puts you through …More

It's not a coincidence that other reviewers mention that the items they've won look like they came from the tip. These clowns advertise that they do house clearances, however I would say the majority of their lots come from local recycling centres. How do I know this? Because I was talking to a chap a few weeks ago whilst he was unloading his van and he told me that he's been supplying this auction house with items he collects from a recycling centre 40 minutes away, for years now. He doesn't inspect any of the items, he literally loads them into his van and drives straight to Hazy's door. He's not the only one doing it either.
Don't be fooled by their 'friendly banter'. They don't care who they rip off and if they can hide a problem with an item in order to make a few extra quid, they will. Also, listening to their auctioneering skills on the rostrum, either live or via the internet, will honestly make you want to pull your hair out. Sooo slow and funnily enough, when the bidding isn't going their way or hasn't reached quite enough, they'll hang on for a bit making bidders wait, talking rubbish, hoping for someone else to put another bid on. Having stood at the back of the room, I've also noticed some 'off the wall' bidding and staff members bidding things up, only to find that item being put back into the auction on another date.
There's no such thing as a bargain at this place, just broken junk. No customer service, they'll bury their heads in the sand if you try to contact them with a problem. They have a 'take your money and run' attitude.
AVOID.

Very unhelpful and bad customer service

I find it hard to even give this auction house 1 star. They are very unhelpful and not customer friendly. They don't even answer e-mails! They asked me to arrange a courier for the items I bought, and I did exactly that. They then told me I had arranged a courier (Royal Mail!) that they didn't use! The Royal Mail collection point is close to their offices, so they could easily drop the parcel off there, but they refuse - far too much effort for them to help anyone.
WARNING - USE THEM AT YOUR PERIL!

Dishonest, sneaky and zero customer service

When mistakes are made there is no accountability nor customer service. I bought a cabinet during lockdown (with no way of viewing items), so I could only base my bidding on a photo. Hazy Maes only post one photo and these photos are often quite terrible. However, on this occasion, the cabinet was outside, clear of other stuff and very easy to see. It was clearly old and worn but in one piece (or so I thought). It transpires that the cabinet had a huge (A4 paper size) hole in the unphotographed side and one of the doors was broken (also not visible in the photo.

Under auction law and HM's own rules, the sale is final and items are 'sold as seen'. I disputed the purchase but there was zero customer service, no apology.

This has happened again since (my fault really, for bidding when I'd already been stung.

There are awful photos, of which only one per listing, so no way to be sure of condition while viewings aren't possible. Titles are simply a few words describing the type of item; very rarely does the title mention condition and certainly not in the case of my two purchases.

I've spent thousands with Hazy Mae's auctions and used to be relatively happy with the service but recently and with a few issues starting to crop up, I started to feel a bit less than enthusiastic about bidding with HM but the last few problems have given ne reason to stop bidding altogether.

The last two occasions have caused me to leave this review. As a business owner, I pride myself on my customer service so when I receive bad service, I feel it's worth sharing the experiences. If Hazy Maes don't want to engage in decent customer service then I'll spend my money elsewhere. If they'd made amends, I'd still be spending a lot of money with them.

Our money was good enough to take and then you decide to ban us. It is not really our problem that you are short-staffed, I think you will find every company across the globe is having a tough time at the moment, but we all do not take it out on our customers. I doubt very much if all NHS staff are taking it out on their patients because of COVID 19. We merely asked if the courier we had arranged had picked up. We will arrange for another courier to pick up.
