Would have rather gotten nothing

So I got this as a Christmas gift from work. They don't work anywhere, even the places listed in the card itself. Not online, not in person. Bunch of us told my boss we'd honestly have rather gotten nothing.

So congrats Blackhawk you managed to create something that's worse than worthless!

SCAM- Can't get a hold of customer…

SCAM- Can't get a hold of customer service, get an error trying to communicate with them through the website, the automated service on the phone number on the back just sends me on a merry go round of wrong information. Went into Ulta to try and use it, and it just gave a card read error. Worst gift ever (basically just a source of frustration) and might as well just trash it.

These cards are junk

These cards are junk. My son had two cards and when you peel off the back to reveal the card number and expire date it takes the numbers off. Was on the phone for an hour trying to get new cards sent to me.
DO NOT BUY THESE CARDS, they are a huge waste of time and money.

gift card only useable in store and not online

i bought a gift card and when I scratched off the sticker, the numbers underneath came off as well. I called happy cards to find out the number so that i can use on a website and they said they can only replace it and it would take 15-20 business days! Now I have to go into the store to use it - very frustrating.

Tried to use it at Macy's

Tried to use it at Macy's. Card didn't go through and I paid the full amount on my credit card. Later, I found out that the Happycard was charged $ 25.00. My Macy's account was never credited with anything. When I tried to dispute the charge, they told me that I couldn't dispute it.
I guess they stole my money fair and square.

Happycard scam to keep remaining funds

Once you sign up card to be used, it transfers the entire balance to THAT company’s gift card. Happycards is supposed to send you an email with the NEW card number but, conveniently their “system” gives an error message so you never get the updated number. Have been on the phone for 50 minutes trying to get this resolved. They can send an email through a different system but can’t send the card with the balance. It’s a total scam to keep any funds you don’t use on the first transaction. Speaking with a supervisor, they are going to send a different new card, via email but in 30 minutes. They wanted to get off the line but I refused until new card was sent. Don’t use!!!

Like everyone say

Like everyone say. Garbage. I did speak to a customer service rep. Mine was already used, prior to opening the package. The card number, expiration, and cv strip was still on it. Customer service told me when and where it was used. Fantastic. I have a card worth 2.74.

CANNOT get these cards to work…

CANNOT get these cards to work ANYWHERE....such a waste of time and money. No real customer service to consult about this. On the website, it reads the correct balance, followed instructions to redeem - nothing ! Waste. Might as well throw them in the trash. DO NOT BUY. NOT A GOOD GIFT - JUST FRUSTRATING.

Definitely NOT "Happy" with this gift card

Had the same negative experience as many others here, not being able to use my Happy Card at Jamba Juice, even though it is not expired and has a $25 available balance. I tried several times and the clerk could not get the card to work or be recognized on the machine. They tried processing the card as Credit, as instructed on the backlog the card. I have also reached out to the company via their website several times with no replies, response, or help. There is definitely no "Happy" using this card. I would not recommend buying these cards to use yourself or for gifts to others, as it does not seem like an easy item to use in many instances.

Gave it a 1 but zero if much better…

Gave it a 1 but zero if much better rating for Happy Teen. Received a card that already had expired, was sent a new one. Go to use the new one and it doesn’t work, the business named on the card no longer take the card, so your child goes to a store with her card, goes to the teller and card is declined! Call customer service again to be told they we have a card that is not updated with the new businesses! Tried a new business today, declined yet again. DO NOT BUY THESE CARDS!!!

Declined at Indigo and Card Number Not Properly Visible to Check Balance

My 12 year old tried to use two Happy Kid gift cards he received from friends for his birthday at Indigo this week and both got 'declined.' They don't expire until 2031. We went home and tried to check the balance of both online, but when you scratch off the back to get the card number, some of the numbers are missing/not visible/partially visible to use (on both cards). After trying to type in one of the numbers (guessing at 3), we were blocked. Not a "Happy" Gift Card and not a happy child - I will never purchase these gift cards for anyone and will inform other parents of the experience.

Happycards Gift Cards are Trash

I just tried to check the balance on a Happycards Let's Eat gift card. I went to their website and put in the numbers on the back of card as long a placing a puzzle piece on the proper spot to prove I am human. I got blocked!!!! This is the second Happy cards card I have tried to use. The first one got denied every time I tried to use it, so I gave up and threw it out. This current one will not let me check the balance and blocked me from the website. I will never buy a Happycards gift card and will post the aggravation on several review sites, Facebook and Tiktok. These Happycards gift cards are garbage. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THEM!!!!!!!

Very Dissatisfied with Customer Service. I was given a happy her gift card…

I was given a happy her gift card containing $200 which had expired before I was able to use it. When I called for a replacement card, the representative was very difficult and I had to argue for them to send a replacement card out. At which time they confirmed the amount and confirmed that they would be sending out a $200 replacement card. After an 8 week delay, I received a gift card which ended up declining at every attempted use, as the gift card replacement was only for $50. When I called again to let them know that the amount was incorrect they stated that the original card also had $50, When I asked to hear the recording of my original conversation, the representative said they didn't have access to it. My conversation was escalated to a manager where they directed me to contact the company where it was purchased. They gave me the date and address where the gift card was purchased. Upon attempting to contact the store (name of which they were unable to give me) I found out that the address given to me doesn't exist. These cards are difficult to use, the customer service is terrible, and I will never purchase another one for anyone ever again.

These cards are a SCAM

These cards are a SCAM. Do not buy.

Received one as a gift in 2022. The store where the giftgiver purchased it had a rack of expired cards (not their fault). So as soon as I received it, it expired by a month...

Found out when I tried it at a HomeDepot, and it was declined. Called the company, and they re-issued me a card. Received it 6 weeks later.

Fast forward 8 months, and I try to use it at Home Depot again. Declined. Home Depot employee raves about how much they hate these Happy Gift Cards. A little bit of research tells me that I can only use them on a transaction that is the value of the card (or less). Tried a separate transaction, and nope.

Called the company again, and expressed my frustration; ask for a refund. Was assured by the guy, yes they can issue a check, I'll receive it in 21 business days. Great!

6 weeks, no cheque. Called the company, and they tell me that I still have my balance, and no they can not issue a cheque (so they never actually did ...) Complained about this, asked for proof of my previous call / to bring up the recording; and no, they can't do that (They said they had no record at all) Asked to be escalated, they transferred me to another line and then hung up.

Called back, and got a different guy; assured me that they can only issue a new card, BUT WAIT; my card was never activated! (Even though on the card it says no activation required). So they activate my card; assure me it'll work at any store (not just at the stores on the front of the card, but anywhere). Asked for the ticket number, and was given it. Tried a transaction; declined.

SO, these guys are absolute Liars; they tell you different things, the cards themselves do not work, and the information online is not accurate to what you need to do to use these cards. I am Furious and will be phoning them yet again with endless complaints until I receive my money back.

SCAM, DO NOT BUY; you are wasting your money, your time, and are supporting just a very bad company. Customer service just tells you whatever they want, and hangs up on you.

Your "GIFT" is a SCAM - Do NOT Buy

Wish we could check 0 stars and still get to the review part. All the complaints you see are true. Happy Cards are a SCAM, just like VV (IYKYK). Card never worked, 0 balance but 0 transactions. No real Cust Serv, sends you in circles to nowhere. Idk how FTC has not shut companies like this down, literally stealing people's money. This is why I buy gifts, no gift cards from anywhere.

My card apparently expired

My card apparently expired? I thought this was illegal in Canada (gift cards can't expire, right)? So I called customer service and the recorded voice informed me that it was expired, tough luck, there's nothing they're going to do about it. I had one of these cards before and it was a nightmare to use. Never, ever buy these cards. They're a total scam.

We went to red Robin to eat they said I couldn`t use the card without going on line to activate the card to use for Red Robin. I tried calling and got no where. I am on the computer and can not figure out how to get this card to work. It says I have a balance of 25.00 , but Red Robin said I have to go online and have the money transferred to Red Robin. I will never buy another one of these cards. Unfortunately I have one more. I thought when i bought this card I could go to any of the retailers on the card and use it.
