Everything worked well.
We just didn't score 5 cause the dirty water wasn't empty as expected. We started our trip with almost 5L litter of clean water.

Camper was reliable but dirty.

Worst camper van service. The van itself was very old and dirty. Broke down during the trip and had issues with emptying the waste water. Staff not very supportive especially when picking up. Be careful and check every minute details. No drop off after hours services. Will never use them again!!

Since the camper was old, with over 250,000 km, it should have been better serviced.
The steering was misaligned, and the vehicle would turn to the left without any reason. We didn’t gel safe !

Moreover, it hadn’t been properly cleaned upon our arrival and smelled bad. We had to clean it ourselves.

The car they gave us was incredibly old, beat up, and dirty inside and out. We took it, and there ended up being a hole in the sunroof's rubber, leading to a mosquito infestation when we were camping. When we went to start the car in the morning, the battery was dead. 2 stars instead of 1 because they exchanged the car for us. The new car they tried to give us that had "just gotten new tires on" had 2mm of tread... so we had to wait longer for a new car that was dirty. That car had no issues. Great customer service, but the cars are just not reliable! This company is also partnered with Lucky Rentals, a company we tried to avoid due to their bad reviews.

Quick reply when I had questions. Easy pick up, easy drop off. camper van well maintained snd clean. Affordable. Friendly staff.

Flate tyre from side not by nail and no supprt.
Car was not fit for long travelling but if you lucky you make otherwise you are on your own.

Great friendly staff , easy collection and drop off , easy to get to from airport. Van good and easy to drive.

Pickup was easy. Car was in good condition and worked properly. Interior of the camper could have been a little bit better organized (f.e. more cupboards/shelves or similar). Equipment was very basic. Dropoff was more difficult since no employees were present even though our arrival time was during opening hours. All in all it was not a bad experience nor a super great one.

We were really happy with the organising of our camper in picking up and returning . The service was efficient and staff helpful . We wouldn’t hesitate to book again .

The staff were great both when we picked up the vehicle and when we returned it. At pick up the staff person took their time to show us properly around the vehicle and point out things we needed to know. When we returned they were quite busy but the staff person was still super friendly and helpful. The vehicle was clean and gave us no problems. We had everything we needed for sleeping and cooking except for a can opener. That's an easy enough fix.

Very poor service. Their campers are very old. Mechanical issues and don’t think maintenance/ condition checked prior to renting. Lights went off, gas bottle not full, the gasket from the doors kept falling off. Terrible experience.

Hi, We fully expected an old van and that was fine. Mechanically the van gave us no trouble and drove well. What was not acceptable was the lack of care in checking the van before we received it and the level of cleanliness.
They would have sent us off on our journey unable to make up a bed as the table had no lip to sit on. The LPG bottle was almost empty. We happened to note the lack of lip and particularly asked whether the gas was full. Because of the issues we noted, they took the van away to fix them.
The bedding/ towel pack on opening smelt dreadful. I don't know whether the items had not been washed, certainly the towels had stains on them. We had to sleep the first few nights with the bedding as it was. When I emailed them, they said we should buy new bedding and they would reimburse us for. We asked instead for the washing and drying cost to be reimbursed, NZ$8. The waste, grey water had not been cleared for I don't know how long. The sink would not clear of water for hours and on trying to clear out the waste water, there were big black lumps and a ton of 'water' still in after the first couple of days of hardly using the sink. We had to try to flush out the waste water with chemicals we bought. The pump water tap was very stiff and so difficult to use. The covers on the chair cushions had not been cleaned for I don't know how long. Again we were sitting and sleeping on these. They reimbursed us NZ$25 for the trouble with the grey water but still have not reimbursed us for the washing and a new plug.
All it would have taken was a little bit of care and proper checking of the van. They may be a 'backpacking' company but backpackers still need things to work and be clean.

We had a fabulous trip , it was very organized and easy to deal with at both ends of the trip and the staff were great to deal with... Everything was perfect thank you... Definitely recommend to others

Very bad build inside. Small kitchen and toilet in the middle of the way.
Sink was stuck when we got it. And grey water tank full.
And kitchen appliances were less than basic.
Fridge made so much noise i had to turn it off at night to sleep.
Plates and everything moving a lot on the cupboards while driving

Very friendly staff, some are more, some less experienced, but a "Happy" team".
The camper was pretty old, but we knew this before -it drove smoothly without any problems.
Maybe window seals need to be checked, well better to be replaced...as when it was raining our matress/sheets were a little wet - "thanks" to drops inside the window.
Cooker, fridge worked well and van was pretty tidy!
Not recommend for people that are taller than 1.80m, as bed is too short (realistically). My husband is 1.88m and he slept "half-diagonal", that his feet poked out of the bed, between the kitchen cupboards. It all worked and we did sleep well in our "FREE-da" - that's the name we gave our little white lady! Definitely would book with Happy Campers again, but maybe chose a different van with longer bed ;-)!

The camper worked and the engine was good, but the inside was falling apart. What i cant understand is, that they could fix some things very easily but they dont.

On pick up of vehicle a light was repaired promptly had a great time in the camper is was what we expected to be a couple of things went wrong like mirror falling off first day gas bottle ran empty while cooking first meal I could smell fuel in camper so decided to cook out side as much as possible
They were minor issues compared to the great experience I had and will be back to do it again

cheapest hitop we could find on the market so our expectations weren't too high. however we were very happy with the quality of the van (toyoto hiuse), the customer service and overall experience. did have one issue that the customer service dealt with quickly and we were happy with the resolution.
