H&H Classics Reviews 

This is the second time I have used H&H to sell a classic car. The last time being over 10 years ago. I achieved my target price and H&H's service was just as good as it was the last time. Communication was also good, and in particular, Paul Cheetham, who organised my sale, was very helpful.

A very well motivated and professional service from initial contact and photography right through to the successful auction sale.
I can recommend this service to anyone who is considering consigning their vehicle to a classic auction.

Having no experience of motorcycles at all it was extremely difficult to know where to start to be able to sell an old motorcycle from the 50’s. We were advised that H&H Auctions could be of assistance. Still unsure how to proceed contacted H&H and was put in touch with Ian who would contact us to explain the process. Ian put us at ease with his extensive knowledge and offered to come to our property with absolutely no obligation to us to proceed any further to discuss our options. After initial talks with Ian who made sure we were fully aware of the process of putting the bike into auction and all costs involved we decided to proceed. Ian took pictures and wrote an explanation about the condition of the bike. This was forwarded to us to ok before it could be used. Ian’s pics and description truly gave our bike the best chance possible of a sale. He also asked our permission to take our bike to display at a classic motorcycle show to try increase interest in the bike. With Ians help and guidance we achieved more at the auction than we ever thought possible. We highly recommended if you are unsure about auction entry at all call H&H Auctions.

H&H gave a personal and professional experience from start to finish.
I sold all 8 bikes at the October auction and came home with an empty van.
All bikes sold within the estimated values.

Due to my advancing years I decided to sell my 1959 Triumph T100 which I had owned for 52 years. I contacted the NMM who put me in touch with HandH. I was promptly contacted by Mike Davis and a visit arranged. Following advice on preparation of the bike and paperwork it was sold at auction for the higher end of the estimate. H&H staff were professional and courteous at all time. Highly recommended.

H and H .The auction was held at The National Motorcycle Museum and one couldn’t have wished for a better venue.The professional service and advice received from Mike Davis and his team was exemplary.Their marketing was absolutely first class and the auction price achieved was beyond my expectations.A job well done and I would not hesitate to recommend them.Thankyou H and H.

I wrote a review previously on here about a car I had bought from an H & H auction that was in a very dangerous state and not road legal, with a description of" Having had exhaustive restoration " on the 3/10/24
I was contacted by H&H saying they were unhappy about the 1 star review I had given and did not agree with it, but having had correspondence with them in a few emails stating the issues and inaccurate description they gave, giving them a list of the problems, they now seem to of accepted the 1 star review as an accurate description of there services
So as I said before they are not interested in the safety of what they sell
Be very careful purchasing any vehicle from this company.
I will of course as I have now give any updates from this company good or bad

It is with great interest I read your reply, please could you send a copy of the email where you" reached out" with the next steps ?? I do not have one
Paul Cheetham was sent an email from me on the 17/10/24 at 8.05 where I clearly state " By all means contact the vendor" there was no reply to this email to offer the next steps or the pictures that Paul was asked for, do they exist ?
I did not know I needed a engineers report as I have not been told the next steps but the report is not a problem and will arrange it
I hope this clears up the inaccurate information you have on this subject

This company is very professional and honest, Although i disagree with the £20.00 entry fee to get into the venue, it would be a good gesture to refund the fee on the perchance of a lot

Lucas Gomersall from H&H was fantastic from start to finish. Making the whole auction process smooth and enjoyable.
H&H are very professional and give honest realistic advise regarding values and managing expectations.

Amazing results, I achieved exactly what I was hoping for on each Car, Paul was very Professional and would highly recommend him and H&H to my friends.

I recently sold my Jaguar XJ at H and H auctions. Baljit handled the marketing and was extremely helpful throughout the process. He took no end of excellent photographs of the car and his approach was the same as if it had been a top end Rolls Royce. I achieved double the price I was offered by dealers, an excellent result!

Never sold a car at auction before but a friend suggested H&H to sell my Audi RS4 B5. I filled in the on-line form and soon had a call from Baljit Atwal. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and talked me through the whole process. After submitting some pictures of the car Baljit arranged a visit to properly photograph the car and learn about it's use and history.
After the car went on the web site a potential buyer phoned Baljit, he was able to tell him all about the car and the buyer offered the top of the expected price range which I accepted. The car never went to the auction and the buyer collected the car from me. No problems any money in my account a few days later. Great job, would highly recommend H&H.

I recently consigned my Land Rover to H&H Classics auction at Duxford. This was my first experience of selling a car through auction. I am pleased say that H&H staff made a potentially stressful process incredibly smooth and seamless. Preparation of the marketing material was meticulous and special thanks to Oliver Fernyhough-Martin for his professionalism and great communication throughout.

Beware of shipping costs. I bought a small item for £50 (£63.80) with fees. Given the low value, I asked if I could send a self-addressed, pre-prepared box for them to pop the item back in the post. H&H were not prepared to do that….instead their ‘preferred’ shipping company quoted me between £35 and £50 for shipping!….for an item that would cost £3.39 to send by Royal Mail (including £150 cover)…..I expected to pay £15-£20 for p+p but not as much as the item itself! I called to explain that the purchase was no longer viable but H&H were most unhelpful.

I have now sold two family cars, a Subaru Impreza P1 on 27 April 2022, and a Lotus Elise S2 Type 25 on 24 July 2024, through H&H Classics.
On each occasion, from initial contact, through to payment for the sale, H&H were very helpful and professional in all their dealings.
I would not hesitate to trust H&H Classics with the sale of any classic car in the future.

The sale of my Classic Car was handled very professionally in every respect, from the initial valuation to the payment of the proceeds to me after the auction.
Everything was clearly explained, and I was very impressed with the quality of the advertising leading up to the auction, and the efficiency of the event. Each of the H and H staff I dealt with were excellent and I could not have asked for more.

I have used H&H before to sell my Jensens. Paul Cheetham handled the sale of my classic excellently. It acheived the required price after some negotiation between Paul and the buyer. Well presented and catalogued. Would use again. Recommended.
