I have used a lot of Accounting firms throughout the years and I find Halon Tax to be an example of what the profession should be. Most of my colleagues have switched to Halon Tax. The portal is very easy to use to import documents, ask a question, and in receiving monthly statements. I have been with them for over 5 years and will not be going anywhere.

Year over year, I have always had a great experience with the staff at Halon. I trust them with my taxes and also lean on them for advise outside of tax season. I highly recommend them!

Do not waste your time with this firm. Initially signed on with them for a monthly contract. Everything seemed great, included tax returns (business and personal), bookkeeping help, able to ask questions, etc.

Three months into it, they changed their business offerings around, charging the same amount of money and limiting what they would help with. After realizing their business model was not lucrative enough, they switched it on their users.

On top of this, it was near impossible to get a timely meeting on the calendar. THE BEST PART - they shut off their meeting scheduler during tax season to keep their customers from scheduling meetings with them! Bass Ackwards if you ask me!

Lastly, I was recomended to file as an S corp. Accountant placed this form in my return but failed to submit it to the whoever needed to receive it (as I am finding out now, a year later).

This firm is extremely unprofessional and has no idea what they are doing. Please do yourself a favor and RUN, not walk, run away.

Update - Their reply is ridden with lies. They shut off their calendars the majority of tax season. This company is the one who suggested I become an S corp. Based on their monthly fee, which I was paying, they said they would do it. Never happened. The most unprofessional firm I have dealt with to this day - trying to lie their way out of crappy reviews.

Awful to deal with. The onboarding process does a great job of selling services but they can't deliver on any of their promises. Stay away from this terrible company.

Perfect accounting team for small business owners. Profesional and responsive and have saved me a lot of money over the years as my business has grown. Highly recommend.

I have been using Halon for many years for my bookkeeping and tax services. I couldn’t be happier with the level of quality work. The staff and owner are all very friendly.

Halon is simply the best tax strategy and preparation firm out there for entrepreneurs. Their prices are reasonable, their people are great, and the output is spotless. Often, I've felt like big accounting firms look at me like I'm not supposed to be there or assume I already know how to be strategic in tax planning while they're just there to literally fill out the tax forms. Halon will have a conversation with you to discuss what you don't know, which I find absolutely invaluable. Honestly, I can't recommend them highly enough.

Be sure to read all the reviews, they weren't lying! Quick to take your money, slow to do any work or communicate with you. Filed our taxes late and won't cover fees & penalties. What a scam.

Love how quickly they respond and is very patient and willing to answer any and all questions so you feel comfortable with any situation no matter how many times.

Sara, Nick, and Nancy have been really helpful. They're a breath of fresh air compared to all my previous experiences and I'm not even exaggerating. Honest, loyal, reliable, and proactive tax preparers are VERY hard to come by, and when they do it's best to keep them forever!
Sara is the most proactive, quickly acting member of Halon. Nick is the best CPA, he's very smart and knows his game thoroughly. Nancy is again very fast at her work. Thank you so much, Nancy!

A few things I would like to change is,
1. I'm guessing Nick is the only CPA I could be wrong though, I feel like if he had an assistant or maybe another CPA who could share his work with him. I wouldn't have to bug him each time. Sometimes, I want answers right away because with taxes I don't like delays.
My only concern is we could be over-burdening Nick with too much work. Maybe I'm completely wrong but this is how it seems to me.

2. Also, I get confused sometimes about who to ask questions, because Sara answers quickly but Nick is the CPA and so when I have certain questions or need something done quickly I get confused as to who to approach. I think that is it really for now. It's not a complaint it's more of a design flaw or an organizational flaw that can be resolved easily. Thank you so much for listening to my concerns and opinions.

Amazing company great people, they do good work

I am new to Halon Tax and so far I am pleased with the support, service and attention I have received.
Sara and Nick have taken some of my worries away.

Halon Tax was exactly what our small business needed. As a small business owner, I have tried to keep up with the books and essentially be a large part of the income side of the business at the same time for many years. Spending hours researching and learning how to be a bookkeeper/accountant was taking a toll on myself as well as my family.

When I came across Halon I at first thought the price was a little bit steep but as they began the process of cleaning up books, I immediately began feeling the weight lift off my shoulders. They have provided a platform that is easy for me to understand, a way to set up quick meetings with them if I don't and the confidence to operate my business with out the gut wrenching stress of depreciation, taxes and everything else to worry about after a long day. Just not having to worry about end of year taxes throughout the year alone has been worth every penny.
