What a shocking business!!!! The food is good but overpriced for a burger and chips but I have been treated terribly by the female manager after I was accidentally overcharged on the night, was told they would refund the money and had to phone 4 days later to enquire where the refund was as it had not yet appeared on my credit card. I was spoken to as though I had wronged them and that I was doing something dishonest and when I told them how unprofessional their way of treating the customer was, I was moaned at by the manager, the phone was put down on me and I still have no refund. I will never step foot in this business and I will tell everyone not to frequent a rude, unprofessional and dishonest business. Word of mouth matters in St Leonard’s and Hastings. Remember that when you overcharge people and then tell them that their business is not welcome.

Ordered takeaway from the Hastings branch (near Morrisons).....food was lukewarm, bacon was black and inedible, kids burger was dry, overcooked and stuck to the roll, having ordered a kids cheeseburger there was no cheese!! Requested medium pink for the double bacon burger and it was raw in the middle. Won't do takeaway from here ever again, nothing like eating in the restaurant!! Really hope that isn't as bad.....very, very disappointing!!

Ordered food from St Leonards restaurant, and the burgers were very tough . I ordered medium , and it came well done . The other burger was even worse . Chips were cold and couldn't eat them. Second time this has happened .
They've gone downhill for sure and I think food is sitting about waiting for delivery drivers

The big cheese, this is the burger to Which all other burgers are measured, and nothing comes close, have tried burgers up and down the country, this is the best by far.
The sides are awesome especially the chilli fries, great atmosphere in both restaurants. A must for any burger lover.

Good burgers, good vibes. I think there is room more improvement but overall they are a nice business and the burgers a delicious especially when there’s two small patties. Would love to see more chip options and maybe tomatoes in burgers !!!

We went to the Hastings HMHB in The Yard near Morrisons mainly because of the reputation of the Marina operation. Big Mistake.

There was rather a lot of staff on duty for such a small restaurant, which is so tight on space that unused food supplies are stored in the customer area - odd styling but seemed in keeping with the rough and ready design of the place.

Ordering was fairly easy and a friendly waiter took the order. Nice cidre in bottles which was great, but that was the best bit. The food - served in a cardboard fast-food burger box, fries mostly all over a dirty metal tray, was disappointing.
The black bean burger was so well done it was like biting into wood. There were five tiny shreds of lettuce, a most minuscule amount of sauce and an incredibly small slice of something red - so thin it could have been either pepper or tomato- hard to tell.

Fries were good, crunchy and tasty with salt and rosemary on them which made them different and the best part of the meal, but a bit overpriced.

HMHB had such a good reputation, at least locally, indeed the Marina operation was great the last time I went there, but this Hastings one is a big letdown. Leaving the reputation is in tatters and the previous glory, so completely faded, that we'll not be back.

Menu is extremely limited and it sells out every day in less than 20 minutes making it impossible to order, it also has minimum spending price of 30 pound making you buy extra items for no reason at all

Amazing vegan food. Speedy service and love their click and collect option. Just what st Leonard’s needed!

These have got to be the best burgers this side of the pond. Absolutely perfect patties, banging brioche buns and succulent sauces. Amazing selection from chicken to beef and halloumi to bean. The Guest Burger is always a welcome treat. Devils fingers are a must try with the HM!HB! BBQ mayo. The desserts are killer too. Don't forget the cocktails and shakes - this place has it all. A must visit but, do book for the weekends.
