I don’t usually take the time to write…

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but in this case I felt it was genuinely deserved.
We recently purchased several pieces from the Hadley Rose Verbier collection, all made to order with our own specified fabric choices. As we are based in Germany, I have to admit I was initially quite sceptical about ordering bespoke furniture from abroad — especially something so tailored and with international delivery involved.
However, from the very beginning, the service and communication were excellent. Every step of the process was handled professionally, with clear updates throughout production and shipping, which gave us real confidence.
Now that everything has arrived and is in place, we couldn’t be happier. The quality, craftsmanship, and finish are exactly what we had hoped for, and the pieces are already being used and enjoyed daily.

It’s rare for me to write reviews, but I wanted to express my appreciation for how smoothly everything was handled and how pleased we are with the end result. We will certainly be looking to order more pieces in the future

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! - - I had the same terrible experience as the reviewer below 2 weeks ago with his mirrors. I also, like him, called/emailed repeatedly, was lied to, given false promises, and generally given the runaround as they clearly did not have the product in stock but didn't want to tell me that. Rarely anyone to speak to, and no return of calls or emails. They are unscrupulous as so many companies in the online furniture world are (ie. With no physical store). Not only did I never receive the item I paid for, THEY KEPT MY MONEY! so, yes, this is being dealt with the appropriate legal channels. I had a bad feeling about them before ordering, but thought, something as simple as a mirror they can surely handle. Nope. AVOID!!!! And If they reply to this as they did to the reviewer below, I am sure they will lie again to present a false 'their side of the story'. It is very simple: they do not tell the truth when you phone them so they are unlikely to tell the truth in their reply to this review.

We’re very sorry to read your review and the frustration you’ve experienced — this is not the level of service we aim to provide.

We would like to clarify a few important points. Throughout your order, automated system updates were sent at each stage, and we are able to provide full proof of these communications if required. At no point were any false updates issued. However, we did unfortunately experience an unexpected delay from our supplier, which meant that the original delivery expectations could not be met. We completely appreciate how disappointing this is.

That said, we acknowledge that the communication should have been handled better. We have recently onboarded new members to our team, and in this instance, a more personal approach — including direct phone contact — should have been taken, rather than relying solely on automated updates. This is something we are actively addressing internally.

In relation to your refund, this wasbeen processed at the time as promised. Please note that refunds can typically take 7–10 working days to appear back on your card, depending on your card issuer and our payment gateway, which is outside of our control.

Regarding the previous review you referenced, the situation differed slightly. The customer had ordered two mirrors, one of which unfortunately did not pass our quality control checks. The client chose not to wait the additional 3–4 weeks for a replacement and did not wish to proceed with a single item, so a refund was issued.

We would also kindly remind all customers to review our terms and conditions, where refund timelines and processes are clearly outlined to avoid any misunderstanding. Hadley Rose has been trading for over 20 years, and maintaining our payment facilities requires strict adherence to refund policies — we simply would not be able to operate otherwise.

We understand your concerns and are genuinely sorry for the experience you’ve had. If you would like to discuss this further, we would welcome the opportunity.

A repeat customer of Hadley Rose

We’re a repeat customer of Hadley Rose and once again they’ve absolutely delivered. This time we purchased from the Barcelona outdoor collection, and the quality is genuinely outstanding.

From the moment it arrived, you can see and feel the difference — the craftsmanship, the materials, and the overall finish are all at a level you’d expect from a high-end, design-led brand. The frames feel incredibly solid, the cushions are both comfortable and supportive, and the fabrics have that premium, durable feel that’s clearly built for outdoor living.

What we particularly love about the Barcelona range is how effortlessly it combines style and practicality. It looks stunning in our garden — very much that luxury, contemporary look — but it’s also clearly made to last, which is exactly what we were after.

Delivery and communication were also excellent throughout, which has been consistent with our previous experiences with Hadley Rose. It’s rare to find a company that maintains this level of quality and service time after time.

We wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again and highly recommend Hadley Rose to anyone looking for high-end outdoor furniture that genuinely lives up to expectations.

Ordered 2 mirrors

Ordered 2 mirrors. they have been delayed significantly and customer service is terrible. Everytime i call the cusotmer service line, someone at reception answers instead of anyone who can answer the question. the receptionists promises to excalate and get someone to call back but no one ever does. every email is also unanswered - i've sent three this week.

As discussed with you directly, the mirrors you ordered were on a temporary back order due to our scheduled shipments arriving from the US to the UK. This was explained at the time of ordering, and we kept you updated as the shipment progressed.

Your order has now arrived in the UK; however unfortunately one of the mirrors was damaged during transit. As soon as we identified this, we contacted you to offer a number of options, including delivering the undamaged mirror immediately while we arranged a replacement, or providing a full refund.

Following our conversation, we processed a full refund for your order, while keeping the order open should you wish to reorder once both mirrors are available together in our UK warehouse.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience while we worked to resolve the issue.

Consistently Brilliant Every Time I Use Them

I’ve used Hadley Rose for quite a few projects around my house now and I honestly can’t fault them. Every time they’ve been amazing. The work has always been done to a really high standard and they’re great to deal with. If I ever have any questions or issues, they’re really easy to contact and always quick to help. It’s hard to find companies that are this reliable and consistent, but Hadley Rose have been brilliant every time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I believe you spoke with a member of our team earlier this afternoon, who reiterated that the refund of your order was already actioned and they have emailed you proof of this via our terminal. We have also contacted American express on your behalf to ensure your refund is received. Once a refund has been actioned on our side any delays are with the credit card company and it is between you and them to ensure your account is credited.

We can understand your frustration but we have been in business for 21 years.

The worst service!!

The worst service!!! I placed an order for a table back in Aug 2025. It is now Feb 2026, and I have not received my order. Having chased this order by email and phone many times, I still haven't received any response. Each time I call the customer service team, I am told someone will call me back to get it sorted, and they never do. If you are looking for a trusted service, then avoid Hadley Rose at all costs!

COMMS WERE NOT GOOD BUT TURNED OUT OK FOR ME

I am editing this review as the product I ordered has now been delivered and all is well. I was extremely worried but all has turned out ok.

Background> Placed an order early October for a desk which was on back order. I have tried numerous emails and telephoned 3 times with a poor girl on reception trying to get someone to answer urgently. The first time I called I did get someone to answer and they said they would check for me but that was weeks ago. I am being totally ignored so they have fraudulently taken my money. I wish I had read all the reviews from customers with similar experiences. I guess I am going to have to telephone my credit card company to get a refund. I am so shocked.

If you are considering a purchase…

If you are considering a purchase through this Company BEWARE. I still have not received my cushions for my sofa. There is complete silence. I should have realised that this is only an online service and no shop and only a PO Box to send complaints to. Also when talking to them do you every get told there surname? No. Nor did I and it makes it very difficult to take legal action. BEWARE

Ordered a custom sofa back in March but…

Ordered a custom sofa back in March but due to renovations asked to have delivered end of July. Tom happily agreed to hold on to our sofa until then, agreeing to confirm a date closer to the time.

Come July we agreed a delivery date, the date we were after was problematic due to them not having available slot for delivery, but they happily arranged for one of their sub contractors to deliver.

The only quibble is that the delivery service was supposed to put it together, but that seemed to not get that memo (likely consequence of it not being the usual delivery people). That said, it was fairly simply to do (like Tom had said) and so when we contacted Tom about it we agreed to adding money to our account rather than trying to arrange 'white glove service'.

So, happy with the whole process, had no issues throughout and never had reason to be concerned over delivery. I took 1 star off for the delivery/white glove mix up, since while it was not a big deal for us, it does mean it technically was not perfect.

Really bad customer service

Really bad customer service, after purchasing from them now they dont reply nor return calls.
I have sent plenty of emails and made phone calls. Their number, any department doesnt work, and they are holding our items for months now.

We are at a complete loss as to why this review has been written. This order was packed and ready to be collected by the courier your employer had arranged. This was to be transported to Ibiza by their courier and everything from our end was booked and ready to go. However, in the 11th hour we were contacted by your employer to urgently stop the release of goods due to finding out the courier company they hired not being trustworthy.

After your employer cancelled the collection, this courier still proceeded to contact us on a number of occasions to book the collection. We therefore agreed with the instructions given to us by your employer not to release the stock or have contact with anyone else on this order other than them.

We therefore placed a reg flag against order and therefore if anyone contacting us about this order that is not on the order, will not be entertained!

Once your employer introduced you to us, we then responded to you, which was done on the same day we were notified!

This is an extremely disappointing review as we fill we have done all we can on this order, which has included storing the goods for far longer then we expect whilst your employer finds an alternative transport provider.

Unreliable company

I purchased furniture from this company in October 2024, and the experience has been extremely disappointing. Despite being told that delivery would take approximately two months, I have yet to receive my order. To make matters worse, they have not responded to any of my 3 emails since the purchase.

Following the publication of a Google review detailing my experience, I received a phone call from this company informing me that I was communicated by email earlier (I was not, I checked inbox and junk) and the order would arrive by the end of the following week and requesting the removal of my review. Despite this assurance, the order has still not been delivered.

The lack of communication and the continued delay in fulfilling my order are unacceptable. I would not recommend this company.

We have provided you throughout the order process updates via our automated system. We have provided you with proof of the emails sent so you have peace of mind.

In our last email to in December last year, we advise that your order will be arriving in mid January and we will contact you once your order is ready for delivery, a copy of this email has been resent to you time and date stamped to prove this point.

We contacted via phone after receiving your review as we couldn't understand the reasons behind it.

We would appreciate either you or TP to remove this review as the client has been kept updated and the order was delivered as promised.

We do share some understanding as sometimes our automated emails can end in junk folders as some mailbox view them as spam. However, after proving to the client the above, we dont believe this review is valid.

Bad customer service

I ordered a light online. Payment taken but received an odd error message on the website. Emailed immediately to ask to confirm if the order has gone through, no reply. Followed up a few days later, no reply. After a week of no response to emails and calls plus no light having arrived, and at that point checking trustpilot (wish I had done that earlier!), I sent an email saying I would escalate to my bank as fraud to reclaim my money. I also left a negative trustpilot review. This then elicited a response that said that my order confirmation email should have come through and it could be in junk (it is not, and this doesn’t address the odd error message on the order screen) and someone emailed me a few days ago which is probably also in junk (it most definitely is not). Miraculously this email responding to my bank fraud challenge has come through. Not sure if it’s a systems issue, limited customer service availability issue or something dodgy but either way it is a pain and does not inspire confidence. I have been promised I have been refunded but I was also asked to take my original review down which is a bit of a cheek (which I have now updated instead). Should have read the reviews on trustpilot which show that this is experience is unfortunately a common occurrence.

Unfortunately, the email address you replied to was our order confirmation email which is from a no reply email. This is why your emails were not received.

We did send you several emails which i believe copies have been sent to you, this is why we requested the removal of the review.

The refund was then actioned straight away and credit to your bank account.

However, we did have some technical issues at the time of order as we had been in the middle of launching our new site which is now live.

So we do apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused during the ordering process.

I placed an order end of May 23

I placed an order end of May 23. Finally delivered 31 May 24 after legal threats.
It's been an awful experience considering I spent £8k.
Do not recommend this company and wish I'd never ordered.
I ended up with a garden sofa but no where near to my satisfaction.

Hi Paula, we are sorry to hear your disappointment on your purchase. However, we do feel it right to add clarity to this experience.

You chose the fabric it was upholstered in and were sent samples so you had physical examples of the fabric.

It was not our fault that you hadn’t realised the fabric was tonal, this choice was completely your own.

However, we still offered to reupholster the cushions for you free of charge and only charge you for the replacement fabric.

We also collected the cushions and tried to get the fabric to work as best as possible, but it is a corner sofa and will always have different shades as the fabric is tonal.

You then tried to reverse the charge on your credit card even though you were in receipt of your order.

Having said this we are still sorry to read your review and we hope your next experience will be better.

Hadley Rose made my furniture shopping experience an absolute joy! I was on the hunt for a new bedroom set and a dining table with chairs, and I stumbled upon their fantastic range of indoor and outdoor furniture. The quality was top-notch, and surprisingly, the prices were very reasonable.

Thomas was incredibly helpful, guiding me through their vast selection with his expert knowledge. With Amanda's keen eye for design.

Throughout the process, their customer service was outstanding. The delivery was super quick and would definitely recommend to anyone!
