The team at Aged Care Assist are truly amazing. I actually felt guilty that we hadn't paid them enough for the incredible amount of work they did on such a complex case. Their dedication and stubborn persistence against the heartless bureaucracy of Centrelink together with their professionalism, compassion and understanding was what got us through a very tough 6 months. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they always carried through on what they said they'd do. Don't let Centrelink bully you out of your entitlements; if they can win our case, they can win any case. The staff have supported us at every stage of the process to place my mother in aged care. It has been a very smooth transition with often complicated paperwork being handled professionally, taking a lot of the stress away from us. We needed to find a place for my wife urgently as she was being discharged from hospital in a few days and they said she would not be able to be cared for at home. Health and Aged Assist found 3 places near our home that were suitable, organised visits, completed the paper work and advised us regarding finances. As a result of this my wife was in a Nursing Home within a few days that is 10 minutes from our house and we are happy with the care she is getting.

My wife and I have engaged HAAA to advise and assist us to place family members in aged care facilities on several occasions. Also we have referred good friends to HAAA on many occasions now. In every case we and our friends have been more than satisfied, the feedback is amazing. We only have to provide a small amount of information, and inspect the recommended suitable facilities. HAAA do the rest, both before selection of the facility and afterwards, including haggling over the cost of the RAD and with the paperwork. There is no better way of dealing with the aged care placement minefield and the stress which goes with it. Also, the cost is surprisingly reasonable.
