Old Gwernyfed is our 16th century home which includes 200 acres of woodland. Gwernyfed Wood is sourced solely from this woodland, we harvest the wood under our sustainable woodland management scheme, transport it to our yard only 1 mile away, where it is processed into a variety of different firewood products and then kiln dried in our own biomass kiln to a moisture content of under 20%. Kiln dried wood burns cleaner and hotter, and for longer, so with Gwernyfed Wood you can be assured of the highest quality product.

Repeat Purchase

This is a repeat purchase from Gwernyfed Wood and as always the delivery is speedy, next day and the choice of wood chips is great. This enables us to tweak the smoking of our meat to experiment with taste.
