Have used Guruwalk twice this week to find a free walking tour. Very pleased with ease of booking and quality of guides. They allow individual guides to advertise and this gives you direct access to a very personal experience rather than a tourist board one.

Toronto Graffiti Guru Alex
Graffiti Guruwalk with Alex in Toronto was informative, interesting and captivating as Alex took us through different stops. Two hours went by fast and I totally enjoyed the art of graffiti along side the details Alex gave us about the artists and their style. Five stars!!!! Thank you Alex.

Scam museum tickets!! Be careful
Horrible experience booking a ticket to the New National Gallery in Berlin. I purchased the ticket through Guruwalk. First off they advertise the price as €7 on Google Maps but it is actually €14.
After ordering my ticket I got a confirmation via email and my card got charged right away but I did not get a ticket to the museum. After contacting support and calling them multiple times I demanded a refund as I had already waited 2 hours and the entrance lines at the museum were now humongous. After 2:30 hrs I received a cancellation with some made up story about the confirmation not going through (I had received a confirmation 2 hrs before so this message was very gullible on their part). In any case, I will report this scam to the consumer protection portal, to Google Maps and I have already reported them to my credit card. This service was a total SCAM and I lost half my day dealing with this. When you are on vacation every minute counts and Guruwalk lost me half a day. I am still in line to get a real ticket (not their scam one!!) and absolutely furious.

The delay in issuing the tickets was caused by a technical error in the connection with the provider, who was responsible for generating them. Unfortunately, by the time the tickets were finally issued, it was already too late, as this was a last-minute booking.
The refund was processed immediately.

We have taken our 1st 2 Guru walking tours this week, both in Slovenia. One in Ljubljana and second in Bled. Both guides were excellent - entertaining, informative & engaging. Highly recommend

Great local tours
I like that Guruwalk only presents tours offered by certified local guides. Taking a walking tour is often one of the first things I do when I arrive in a new city, and I've always enjoyed the ones I've booked through the platform - I learn lots and usually get a list of recommended places to visit afterwards which helps plan the rest of my stay.

Guru walks is a great app to find local people full of local knowledgr
I’ve done a few of these and they have always been great, lovely people taking the tour who have so many interesting facts and are happy to answer questions. I’ve done two today in Hue and both guides were helpful, interesting and informative, I thoroughly enjoyed my tours with them.

Excellent tour of Funchal - would recommend!
Great communication from start to finish; Eduardo was enthusiastic and passionate about everything we visited on the tour and about Madeira in general. He made the tour interesting and fun and we saw all that Funchal had to offer. I thought 2.5 hours may have been too long but it went quickly and was thoroughly enjoyable. Would definitely recommend Eduardo.

A first class guide really made our walking tour of Athens
Took a walking tour of Athens and found it first class. Our guide Walter was superb and made the tour very interesting. Walter was obviously so passionate about the history of Athens and was keen to share his knowledge. He was happy to answer any questions and really made it such an enjoyable experience.
