very good service. The wooden chalet we had was really excellent

I bought a wooden garden planter from this company. When it arrived it was covered with green marks. I was told this was salt and I should brush it off, but it didn’t come off easily and I was worried about brushing too hard as the product wasn’t that stable. I purchased through BnQ but they said I had to pursue with the independent seller. They told me I could return but at a cost of £10 and with packaging intact. This is a shoddy product, clearly imported and made of cheap wood which has been treated with something that leaves a green residue. Do not buy!

"I bought this shed to save time and hassle. Instead, I’ve been absolutely ripped off. Now that I’m actually handling the panels and applying creosote, the true 'quality' of Shire’s manufacturing has been exposed: it is staggeringly flimsy, unstable, and poorly engineered.
The framing is so pathetic that I’ve had to go out and buy my own CLS timber to strengthen the entire structure. Without me adding my own structural supports, I wouldn't trust this thing to stand up in a light breeze, let alone a British winter. The panels are bowed, the wood is cheap, and the overall construction is 'bottom-of-the-barrel' at a premium price.
I wish I had just bought the raw materials and built it myself from scratch—it would have been cheaper, stronger, and far less stressful. Gudrum and Shire are selling the 'illusion' of a shed. Once you get it off the pallet, you realize you’ve paid hundreds of pounds for a DIY kit that requires an extra £100 of timber and a weekend of structural engineering just to make it fit for purpose.
If you value your money and your sanity, avoid this company. You aren't buying a garden building; you're buying a pile of kindling that you’ll have to reinforce yourself. Absolute disgrace."

Having ordered £175 worth of Eco base for a garden shed on 31st October from Garden Chic, using my normal credit card and details, which I have used for many thousands of on line transactions without a problem. I have received a notification from Gudrum that they have cancelled my order and as it has apparently been flagged as a potentially 'fraudulent transaction' by their payment provider after receiving the funds! 'Apparently' I will receive a refund! I most certainly will one way or another! That is the benefit of using a credit card! However, if I still want the goods, they would be happy to accept a BAC's transfer! I am damned sure they would! However, this strips me of the protection I have for using my credit card for online transactions! Luckily this isn't urgent for me, but it's still very disappointing. I will be buying the same product elsewhere. Subsequently I have received a response that the address (my home address) is associated with a dissolved company and has been flagged as a possible fraudulent transaction! Interesting, as the transaction was on my personal credit card, to my home address and the company concerned which was based at my home address was legally wound down and ceased trading owing no debt. There is due diligence and then there is stupidity! Can I no longer order things to my home address using my own credit card, because once upon a time I ran a business from home? Their loss not mine, bought the same product at Wickes the next day marginally more expensive with a trade discount and less hassle!

My order was placed over the phone with Danielle and handled very expertly. Kept me in the loop every step of the process. Employee of the month 🤪 🙌

Gudrum sent a replacement lock for my summer house, and it is now sorrted.

Fantastic customer service. Sorted my issue promptly and efficiently, they could not be more helpful. The issue was not Gudrum’s fault but the were really helpful. Great product too and quick delivery. It is not often I leave reviews but this customer service was outstanding.

Awful company, avoid at all costs! Sent me a broken item and the wood came written with black marker on it. Won’t come off. Delivered to back garden and now refusing to take it because the courier now claims it’s too heavy to move. Waited in all day for this collection!
Update: 03.06.25. Company hasn’t arranged couriers as they have stated. Left with b&q to address due to awful customer service and refusal to collect item.

So four days and four ridiculous email responses and they admit I should have 14.5 wave panels at 1090mm when I only have 12.5 wave at 960mm. Rather than sending me the extra two panels they are suggesting I have all sixteen panels removed and refitted with a 2 wave overlap, when their instructions clearly state it should be 4 wave. APPALLING SERVICE

Look at them carefully Gudrum Ltd is owned by Lectif Ltd, owned by the Gardeners Market Ltd so no accountability and the responses are from Lewis who will not give his second name...
