A huge disappointment.
I’d ordered several bags of seed from GrowSoGreener. Unfortunately, one packet of kale microgreen seed came undone during shipping. My package arrived with some loose kale seed at the bottom of the box, and half the 250 g seeds gone.
I emailed the company, and received a reply. Lucy told me she’d be sending out a replacement bag immediately. I never received a notice of shipment, and twelve days later, no package and no word from Lucy.
I finally emailed asking if she’d forgotten me. A further seven days passed with still no word, and so I phoned the company and left a message. I then heard from Lucy via email saying she’d been tracking down the DPD shipment this whole time only to discover DPD had rejected it. (Frankly, I don’t believe she even sent it to DPD because wouldn’t they have notified her it had been rejected? Yes they would have).
I eventually got an email telling me all this and offering a refund for the kale seed. I accepted that solution.Lucy said she’d get on it right away. That was thirteen days ago now, and no refund has appeared.
I’m not happy about the time it has taken to get this sorted, and to also write this review. I do think you need to know about the problems with GrowSowGreener. Are these evil seed purveyors? No, probably not. I think they’re a bit shambolic, and probably over their heads.
And I’m out microgreen seed I paid for. Will it break my bank? No, but I won’t be ordering from this company again.
And you should know there’s another, bigger problem. The Calabrese broccoli seed I received from GrowSoGreener has a really low germination rate. And I have experience growing this seed. It’s just bad.
What a waste of my time and money. Lucy could have made this a whole lot better by being even a little regretful, and a bit more eager to make this right.
** After contacting Lucy yet again, I finally got my refund. Unfortunately, I’m still out of the cost of a bag of dud broccoli seed.
