Received my first order this morning

Received my first order this morning. Fruit and veg look really good, fresh, colourful and not in plastic bags.
Well worth ordering. I aim to eat more veggies and more fruit, ordering from Groobarb will hopefully encourage me to do this.

Had 2 boxes to date

Had 2 boxes to date. I was expecting to help the British farmers but received bananas and tangerines, these are not homegrown. The bananas were already on the turn as were the leeks. The potatoes were brown once cooked so went straight in the bin. Still holding out hope I'll get a box I can fully utilise.

The produce here is fantastic

The produce here is fantastic! The apples are so vividly red, reminiscent of something out of a fairy tale like Snow White. The carrots are impressively large as well. I always look forward to when they come in. Additionally, it's great knowing that I'm helping reduce the carbon footprint by supporting local farmers.

For a year and a half

For a year and a half, our family of five has enjoyed being Groobarbs subscribers. Our household devours plenty of veggies and fruits, making our weekly delivery something we truly enjoy. The produce always impresses us, with summertime lettuces and fruits being particular highlights. The service is flexible, allowing us to easily skip deliveries, add or subtract items, or even include a tasty sourdough loaf. The cherry on top is driving by the fields of carrots on my daily commute and knowing there's no plastic waste involved. Huge thanks!

Support the farmers not the supermarkets!

Been having this for a couple of weeks. Started with the x small fruit and veg box, good amount of produce, apples and pears really nice and juicy. I got 6 clementines, 6 carrots, 5 pears, 5 apples, 3 onions, broccoli, white cabbage and a small bag of potatoes.
I’ve changed to a veg box though as there isn’t much in the way of fruit at this time of year and I didn’t really want to be getting bananas or citrus fruit, as the whole point of me doing this was to support local farms rather than supermarkets. Yes it’s more expensive but it’s good quality and lasts longer and there’s something more appealing about muddy potatoes. Gave 4 stars due to lack of fruit choices at this time of year.

Fresh, seasonal, local...ticks all the boxes for me

I have been having a medium fruit and veg box for about 4 months and I am really pleased with the quality of the produce. I recently moved into the area where they farm, and was prompted to try because I was driving past the fields where they were picking crops which are a couple of miles from my house. Fresh, local, seasonal...it ticks all the boxes. I actually think it is good value for money, if you want super cheap food then maybe this isn't for you and there's nothing wrong in that. I'm on a budget too so I've started to get one box a month but I find that it lasts ages and alongside stuff I grow on my own allotment, I'm buying much less from the big supermarkets. Plus, it's a great way to try stuff you either don't see or don't know about, but mainly seasonal! Recently we had spaghetti squash and kohlrabi which were excellent. It's easy to substitute items too for just £1 extra for up to 4 swaps which I think is a fair charge. You can skip deliveries or order extras so it's really flexible. You also receive a little newsletter and recipe idea, the box is now foldable for ease of storage until collection at next delivery. I am really happy and would recommend to anyone.

I have been using Groobarbs for about a month now and have to say the quality of produce is exceptional, the bread is amazing and eggs are super fresh, my only suggestion would be that when delivering putting the boxes in plastic bags if its raining, other than that, perfect!

Caters for 1 person upwards

Love the extra small box- absolutely spot on for a single person. Veg absolutely fresh and tasty. Delivery no problem. Though fruit and veg maybe slightly more expensive than eg supermarket, I'm completely satisfied with the easy online ordering method, variety of fruit/veg offered, and the regular delivery. Totally recommend Groobarbs. Xx

We had a glorious meal at Groobarbs Friday evening that we wanted to give feedback.

The food was exquisite! We can’t fault it and the restaurant vibe was perfect with low level lighting which was just right.
My boyfriend particularly enjoyed the dessert and wine.

The venue is pretty. Seeing the chefs cooking and prepping as you waited and they didn’t seem flustered at all. The presentation was as glorious as the taste!

We also thought the live music was so great! We loved the varied music and it was sang beautifully.

The staff who served us were so helpful and friendly.

We will be back again. Thanks so much for a wonderful evening.

Great price for what you get, lasts ages and so fresh and tasty!

Always happy with our delivery. A small box last the two of us 2 weeks+ and stays fresh in the fridge all that time too. Can swap up to 4 items out. Great extra produce sold in shop like eggs, amazing bread and cakes, pesto, spelt pasta, granola, lots of GF stuff... I could go on!
We've also eaten at the field kitchen a few times and have absolutely loved the fresh, flavoursome produce. Exciting menu and just love that you don't know what you'll have I til you arrive. Wine is to die for too!

Big rip-off

Unless you live in a place where you can only get tasteless tiny fruit and veg from a supermarket or a corner shop then this is not worth the expense. £8.75 for what was basically a small punnet of grapes, 4 large apples and 6 tangerines. I pay way less than this from the green grocers in my village that gets seasonal supplies mostly from local farms and allotments. Heck I struggle to even spend £10 a week there.

Good service, would recommend to others!

Have been getting these for a few months now - love having fresh seasonal veg delivered, and really easy to amend your order frequency etc on the website. It's good to know it doesn't have to travel far! Have swapped to a Groobox from Oddbox as we felt it was getting too expensive, but find this good value for money considering it is locally grown and organic.

Very uninspiring and disappointing meal

Very uninspiring and disappointing meal. Was looking forward to this meal. Starter was ok, but it went downhill from there. Main course was a courgette with a carrot and Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Gravy not in a pot, but poured over the plate. Very bland and not at all what we expected. The meat eaters in our party found the meat to be very fatty and not a quality cut of meat. Overall for the price, we felt ripped off.

Customer for 3+ years

Started using Groobarbs during the pandemic. They offer a fantastic veg box with lots of choice all grown locally. They also offer bread, eggs and speciality items which are all very high quality. Highly recommend

Have also been to their field kitchen a couple of times and the food was excellent.

Amazing produce and an environmental win!

Amazing produce, the apples look like they’re straight out of snore white, they’re so red! The carrots are huge. I get so excited for the arrival each time. Plus it’s low carbon footprint and supporting local produce farmers.

We love our Grooboxes

We love our Grooboxes! We've had them for several months now and it's always exciting choosing what to add each weekend. The ordering and delivery process is seemless.

We bought an air fryer to help us get more creative with our cooking, as we were previously using prepared veg for convenience in our busy lives. But the veg box-air fryer combo is working great!

The vegetables and fruit are excellent quality and often enormous. The strawberries look like they've been polished, they're so perfect!

We're looking forward to the kitchen opening up this summer too. It would be handy to be able to stop by the farm at the weekend to pickup extra items, perhaps this could be a possibility when the kitchen opens :) and also to have a few more single items options on the website, to add to a box if at all possible.

We love all the videos and messages, we really feel a part of the farm. Excellent all round

We have been Groobarbs customers for 18 months. As a family of 5 we go through a lot of veg and fruit, it is a pleasure to receive our weekly delivery. The quality is consistently excellent, we especially look forward to the summer lettuces and fruits. It’s easy to skip a delivery and to add and remove things you don’t fancy or even add a delicious sour dough loaf.
Best of all i drive past my carrots on the way to work every day and there’s no plastic waste 🥳
Thank you

Amazing boxes

We have been getting our boxes for few months now and have never been dissapointed. The quality is great and stuff lasts for a while. Was impressed from the first box.
Skipping and adjusting boxes is very easy and the option to add likes and dislikes is great too.
Just recently we skipped a box as we weren't in much for the week so needed only couple of bits that I picked up from supermarket and we have definitely tasted the massive difference in quality between supermarket and groobarbs and couldn't wait to go back to our veg box.
Lastly the customer service is amazing, definitely worth giving them a go!
