Paid for express service

Paid for express service. Uber repeatedly tried to collect order the store didn’t have ready before finally cancelling. The order still shows as prepared. Rang customer services twice, both unable to cancel the order or say whether it would or wouldn’t be delivered. Order 10:00-11:00. Still not arrived or refunded at 15:00. Shockingly poor service. Customer service gave me store number that just takes you back to the same customer service menus. This order was for an elderly relative. I won’t use Asda again. I have disputed the payment with my card company. Not good enough from trusted brand.

We used to be loyal customers of Asda…

We used to be loyal customers of Asda for years but past three months is really going down the hill with them. The grocery deliveries are always late, they cancelled on us, brought mouldy gherkins twice and generally the products are not always fresh and very short use by date.

The last thing before we decided to leave Asda online grocery happened last week when they didn’t deliver one crate of food, which was worth at least £40. Fresh meat, vegetables, yoghurt etc. They charged us for it though and said it was delivered. I called customer service and after long wait I spoke to someone who said it’s in the van and driver will be back later on. That never happen. I raised the case, chased them twice but week later still no answer and I am worried we are not going to see £40 again. Will be escalating this but it’s very time consuming too. Therefore we are leaving Asda and please don’t use them. It’s totally not reliable and they tell you different things by email and different things when you call customer service.

Deliver out of date food

Multiple groceries in delivery were out of date / about to expire (tomorrow). Disgusting. Delivery driver was in a rush making it impossible to check the more than 200 items in the order. Shocking to be given so much food our family can't eat and to have no assistance from customer service.

What a waste of time customer services…

What a waste of time customer service is, don't bother calling them. My question was quite a simple one regarding my dogs food which always get from asda, my dog is now quite old and finally had to switch his food to soft food Winalot lamb and turkey 12 x 400g cans. The only one he will eat. However they haven't had it in stock for ages, when I ask staff if they are getting any stock in just get " don't know " so to save wasting my time to visit store thought I would check with customer services thinking maybe they can tell me if being discontinued etc.
Well it was like talking to an idiot, got "don't know, check website, check store" WHATS THE POINT!!!

Absolute garbage

Ordered at 10am for a same day 9pm-10pm delivery slot. Waited and waited, and finally had to concede defeat when I had to leave for work at 10.15pm and no phone call or update to say the delivery was delayed or cancelled. Call centre closes at 10pm on a Sunday, so no dice there. Great to know I'll get back from work in the morning with no breakfast unless I go to the supermarket to replace the items Asda have charged me for but not delivered. First and last time using this awful supermarket.

Longstanding customer let down—£249 lost and no resolution

I’ve been a loyal Asda online grocery customer for over 12 years and have always tried to be understanding when issues arise. Over the years, we’ve dealt with frequent substitutions, missed delivery slots (especially on Sundays), and occasions where I’ve had to collect my shopping myself due to driver shortages or vehicle breakdowns.

However, my recent experience has been deeply disappointing and financially damaging. In October, a technical issue linked to Microsoft Azure prevented me from finalising my grocery order. As a result, I had to refuse the delivery at the door. The driver was sympathetic and assured me I’d be refunded. Unfortunately, Asda later claimed the order was accepted and have refused to issue a refund—leaving us £249 out of pocket.

We simply cannot absorb this kind of loss. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue through customer services, the only response has been an acknowledgment of our frustration, with no meaningful support or resolution.

This has been a distressing experience, and I’m sharing it in the hope that Asda will take accountability and improve how they handle genuine customer concerns.

Website is completely useless

Website is completely useless. Every time I try to open Asda.com I am redirected to a log in page. Even after I enter my details if I open a new tab to view an item I get the login page again. I have over £100 of goods in my basket but it will take hours to check the items.

ASDA REWARDS NOT WORKING

At present Asda are selling great items at
excellent prices, what is disappointing on our
last 3 shops we have lost out on our rewards.
NO ONE AT ASDA SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!
It appears you have to scan at the end of the
checkout - NOT BEFORE!

The Asda employee said before!

Bad driver and bad customer service

Would have given no stars if it had been possible . Emailed customer service to raise an official complaint against an Asda delivery driver and heard nothing back . Very bad customer service what do they get paid for . Delivery driver kept saying he was going to cancel my order. He then was so annoyed when I asked him to bring the crates of shopping in due to my back ) kept moaning about his job . Items missing . Asda do not value their loyal customer. Joke of a company . Morrisons it will be plus with then you don't have to spend as much on your order . My mum has morrisons shopping delivered for years and highly rates them . Goodbye Asda or should I say good riddens

Delivery was missing items. Asda didn’t care

Delivery was missing items. There was no acknowledgment from there side that items would be missing.
But they rejected the refund saying the items were delivered. I literally have camera footage of what was delivered but there is no way to show them.
Also for how much we shop there and how much we spend there fact that we were complaining that a small fraction didn’t arrive should be enough to warrant
a refund. If we were going to lie then surely we would have chosen a much bigger value to go with. The shop itself was £86 and the items that didn’t arrive were probably around £10.

But it was the principle of the matter.
Clearly either the delivery guy pretended he delivered them or he delivered it to the wrong address. Asda clearly don’t have the right systems and controls in place to detect and prevent such issues and what’s worst is they don’t have the processes in place to even rectify it for their loyal customers.

Extremely Disappointed with ASDA Wallington’s Service and Complaint Handling

I have been ordering from ASDA Wallington for quite a long time, but my experience has gone downhill badly. Many of my orders have arrived with missing, damaged, or incorrect items, and the delivery drivers often show little care when entering the property.

The worst issue happened on 23 June 2025, when a driver damaged my door's panel by carelessly moving his trolley. I opened a case right away, provided photos, and spoke to several customer service representatives and even store managers at ASDA Wallington. Despite all my efforts, nothing has been resolved.

One manager even told me this was a “grey area” that could take years to sort out and advised me to keep calling customer service every week — even though it can take over an hour just to get through. I’ve been given different case numbers for the same issue, and no one has ever updated me on whether this was passed on to ASDA’s insurance team.

It’s extremely frustrating and disappointing to see how poorly ASDA handles complaints and how little accountability there is. I expected better from such a large company. All I want is for ASDA to take responsibility and fix the damage to my door caused by their driver

What has gone wrong with Asda

What has gone wrong with Asda? I've been a home delivery customer for years. They used to be really good for the basics. A couple of years ago I started to find some of my favourite items were out of stock. Some never returned. Over time, more & more vanished. Substitutios became a regular occurrence & mistakes crept in. I hung on in there as I valued my regular delivery slot. Then a couple of months ago the app changed. What a mess! Booked deliveries beyond the next one vanished. My shopping bag contains a permanent item I can't get rid of. My shopping lists have gone to be replaced by a generic Favourites list of everything I've ever bought (well over 200 items.). It's useless & frustrating. And still favourite items are going out of stock (2 more last week). I can't go on like this every week & I'm not optimistic it will change. I'm done & I've finally given up & gone elsewhere.
