Drop-shipper, sells fake decks for high prices

On June 10, 2025, I ordered the item "Everyday Witch Tarot Deck" from the Green Witch Creations website. When I received the deck on June 22, 2025, it was not up to the quality standards that I normally get from Llewellyn and it did not come with the book, even though the packaging says it includes a 264 page guidebook. It also has a sticker on the packaging indicating that it was manufactured by Dongguan Balll Packaging Co., Ltd. in Dongguan City, China.

I contacted Llewellyn Worldwide, LTD. to determine if it was a counterfeit deck. I spoke with customer service at (651) 291-1970 and they confirmed that it was a fake. The deck I got was a different size than what they print, they do not print decks in China, the packaging does not include a barcode, and it does not include a book. All decks by Llewellyn include a barcode on the package and a book.

When I contacted Green Witch Creations on June 22, 2025 to get a refund, I received an email from the owner, Alison Smith, saying that I had to pay for postage to return the item for a refund. I was willing to return the item, but I won't pay for postage when I didn't do anything wrong. I also filed a dispute with PayPal with the same result.

I wanted to support a small business…

I wanted to support a small business owner by purchasing from this company, but I feel misled. While I received the product I requested (hence the three stars and not 1 or 2) I was greatly disappointed to learn that it was not disclosed where the product came from, which turned out to be from China. This is not in and of itself an issue if I'd been given the opportunity of an informed choice, except that many Tarot/Oracle decks are pirated that come from there so I try to avoid this as I do not know if the Author sees any $ from their valuable work.

That, along with the fact that my emails of inquiry went unanswered will prevent me from purchasing from this company again as I do not feel I can trust them for any product or service they offer due to lack of transparency, including the delivery timeframe which I had to find in small print after a diligent search (it was longer than a shipment from a US Small Business (which was implied but not stated) should have taken.

Affordable, Great Products

I loved all the witchy items they had to choose from. Lots of crystal jewelry and cool tarot decks. Very affordable, free shipping, and fast shipping. I also got a coupon for 25% off my first purchase by signing up with my email address. Will be buying from here again.

Horrible shopping experience - non receipt!

I ordered some Mala bracelets from this company on June 5th, for 2 separate orders. They were graduation gifts needed for 6/13/21. I was under the impression I’ll receive them by the 13th or some days after. Nah! Reached out to the owner (Alison), via email almost two weeks after placing the order. She responded right away. Apologised & explained that the bracelets may arrive later than expected. (They were shipping from China. Her shop is based in AZ). What I found baffling though is that, the items show available on her website. But no information anywhere that items ships from out of the country. I have since received one of the orders. I’m yet to receive my second order. (Partial delivery was made on 1 out of 3 items ordered). Sent a couple of emails (over a week ago) - to have Alison check on the status of the shipment. (I don’t have a tracking number). However comma I’m still awaiting a response. I’ve since reached out to my CC comp to reverse the charges. If it’s possible to give this shop below ten stars - I would!! What a complete disaster & sham!!!! I had my reservations before placing the order. (Solely on the name of the shop). I should have followed/listened to my intuitions. I plan on leaving a negative review on BBB & contacting consumer protection too!
