Appallingly poor communication and management. As a landlord, I raised serious concerns about how my property was being handled and left multiple messages for a manager — none were returned. When I finally reached the owner/director, Peter, he was dismissive, ignored repeated emails, and refused to honor a refund request. Their operation appears overloaded, with far too many properties and little to no attention to detail. The result: mismanagement, disregard for clients, and zero accountability. I strongly advise against entrusting them with any property.

Hello Readers. Green St Property is fantastic. The number one reason for this positive review is because of the Green St Property team leader, Lauren Forbes. I recently relocated from Adelaide to Newcastle due to my mother being critically ill. As you can imagine, I was beyond stressed and upset due to that and the big location move itself. I had been looking for three weeks to secure a rental with no results. One property even had a tenant smoking in the living room with a full ash tray of cigarettes. However these other agents did not care because there were 20 couples lining up outside. As demand grows, their customer service vanishes.

Then I met Lauren. She is absolutely fantastic. She made a one-on-one private viewing of the property I was interested in. She emailed me back so quickly and I always felt listened to. She addressed all my rental property concerns. I had a list of things I was doubtful about the property. Lauren made sure all these items had a solution that mutually benefited me and the owner. For example, allowing a pet and the gardening requirements of the property. No quick fix, shortcuts. Just quality solutions.

Lauren is professional, punctual, friendly and highly efficient. On top of these important qualities, she is also just a well-rounded, lovely person. Easy to have a chat and a laugh with. She always values your time and will make sure you are happy with all the arrangements. Lauren takes the time to genuinely get to know her tenants and their interests. We talked about the suburb’s features, local history, our hobbies and she matched exactly what I was looking for in a property. Not many people can build a genuine rapport quickly and also leave you knowing you made the right decision. This is how Lauren made me feel. I am so happy with my current rental property and how effortless everything was to complete and to move in.

I have tried so many different real estate agents in Newcastle and across Australia. Sadly this was the first time I was treated with respect, kindness and genuine consideration of my needs rather than just trying to get money off me. If you are like me and fed up with sleazy, unethical real estate agents, go to Lauren at Green St Property. She’s a star and you will be well looked after, just like I was and continue to be.

Since moving in, Lauren has ensured we had everything we needed as well as providing a nice local touch for the two of us who are new to the area. Lauren certainly surpassed my expectations. I found her to be super efficient by organising our rental In a short time frame (even when the owners live in France), and keeping us informed every step of the way. Due to COVID-19 we have not met in person but I feel like Lauren is a friend, through our regular contact and her caring and understanding nature, she is a good listener and a friendly compassionate person.
