The Greener Energy Group team who fitted the air source heat pump over two days were courteous and decent to talk to. They were very hard working and had a lot to do in the two days. The operator who lifted and put back the flooring did an excellent job with fitting it all back with no trace there had been a hatch created or the other areas the flooring had to be lifted. The area was vacuumed dust cleared after the job completed. The electrical guys were the last to leave, fairly late for a Friday getting the system to start operating.
After the fitting the next week Lynne Scally (Accounts Manager) called with a courtesy call to see all had went well and discussed if anything else was needed and all was working okay and was helpful. All in all such a large operation was made easier be everyone we dealt with at Greener Energy Group.

Apart from a minor glitch with the scaffolding and a wee delay because of very high winds the install was absolutely faultless. The phone team were absolutely on the ball and kept everything running smoothly would recommend the company to anyone considering solar panels etc.

The whole process was handled exceptionally well, from the Sales right through to Installation.
The installation was completed on the day and all the installation team were great - very easy to discuss things and the follow up from the Customer Services was brilliant.

Just had solar panels and battery storage installed - all went very well indeed. From initial discussions and and quote this progressed well. The installation went smoothly. Scaffolding then fitting panels all pretty much on time. Electrical engineers worked well to get everything installed and full explanations given. Follow up by Lynne to ensure all was well and support with links etc made it a much less stressful experience than I imagined. Well done to all and no hesitation in recommending Greener Energy Group

Info: This post refers to a new Octopus Cosy 9 Air Source Heat Pump installation.

Their salesperson outlined everything in a very understandable way, even for us laypeople.
The funding team assisted us in applying for a the full funding cover through the Government grant and loan scheme, and assisted us with our Home Energy Scotland application, they really made the process painless.
The engineering team, because it was a team, managed to dismantle and remove our old water tank/boiler, six radiators, and oil boiler system; and fit a new boiler, six new radiators, new pipes, and the air source heat pump in 2.5 days. Not bad considering they had to contend with three-feet-thick stone walls and some... interesting wiring.
Even the Octopus Energy engineers who came to audit their work had nothing but positive comments to make of what a good, and tidy, job they had done.
All incredibly professional from start to finish, cannot fault them or the process.

Process from start to finish was superb, Debbie and Lynne from the office were a massive help guiding us through the admin / grant process and the install team were very professional and caused minimal disruption during quite a significant project. Will be recommending to friends & family

Had a bizarre phone call after enquiring about Solar Panels and Battery Storage in that they refused to book a survey unless i could guarantee that both myself and my wife would be present. I've never heard the likes before. When challenged on this was given some bull about making sure "nothing was lost in translation" when in my mind is we want to put the "hard Sell" and make sure you sing on the day.
Over the years we have done several large projects on our house but this is a fist for me. There choice I will happily take my business elsewhere.

The survey and sales were very comprehensive, informative and not at all pushy. FInance was simple to organise, Very efficient imstalation only a few weeks after ordering online, 12 panels, battery and a free car charger were installed in a day with minimal fuss by a friendly and cheery team After sales service to iron out a few teething problems was quick and helpful.

I entered into an agreement with Greener Energy Group for a solar and battery installation and paid a £500 deposit. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish:

Misleading Information: At consultation I was promised 11 panels would fit on my roof and that I could arrange my energy account switch before installation. Both turned out to be untrue.

Poor Communication: I had to chase repeatedly for updates over several weeks. Installation dates were missed without explanation, and scaffolding was left on my property long after works were cancelled.

No Proper Survey: No survey was carried out before the install date, leading to a last-minute discovery that fewer panels could fit, and I was offered an insulting £200 per missing panel.

Property Damage: Their subcontractor smashed a glass balustrade panel on my decking. I am still awaiting a resolution.

Unfair Charges: After cancelling due to these failings, Greener Energy Group tried to keep my £500 deposit and even attempted to charge an additional £500 for scaffolding — despite their repeated errors and poor service being the reason for cancellation.

Stress & Disruption: This experience caused significant wasted time, disrupted other work at my property, and left me without the installation I was originally sold.

I have now gone with a different supplier and secured a much better deal — a Tesla Wall Connector, a Tesla Powerwall extension pack, and 4 extra solar panels — all for the same overall price that Greener Energy were charging.

Had solar panels and battery installed. Team were knowledgeable and worked hard to give us what we needed. Overall a very good and pleasant expirence. Sales team weren't pushy or over bearing. Communication was good throughout between us and each other. Installers were excellent.

Just had an octopus heat pump installed by greener energy and from start to finish they have been great to deal with.
The whole process was very quick and every department we dealt with helped with any issues quickly and with a great attitude.
Matt and his team installing the system were all great craic, very tidy and left the house in a great condition. We had to box in some of the pipework and we couldn't be happier with how it looks, great attension to detail throughout.

Couldn't recommend enough.

Despite issues with the Scaffolders (not a problem GEG could control all went smoothly.
Good communications so we knew what the stages were and who was doing what when.
Particular shout out to Leon who connected us as the last visit despite the challenge of surplus wasps in the attic. Didn't flinch.

Greener Energy Group. We were pleased with quick and efficient way the solar panels and battery were fitted and the scaffolding done.
We had a slight problem after the big storm but this was dealt with the next day.Communication within the company is excellent

We had Greener Energy Group in to quote us for an air source heat pump, new water tank, radiators and ended up needing new pipework too. Joe gave us lots of information and showed us our savings at initial review and we decided to go for it with the grant and loan support.

Scott in the office was fantastic throughout the application process and ensured it all went through seamlessly and before long we had our funding and could proceed to the installation.

The installers worked tirelessly during some very hot days to get everything done, and even came back a 4th day to sort some things that weren’t finished yet. Thomas on the electrical side of things was also very informative and super helpful.

Overall we are very happy with the heat pump and full system, our old fixer upper house had an awful shower which has somehow become amazing with this system!! It makes a bit of a hum outside at times but it’s not really bothersome. We did have to knock our review down sadly for a few reasons:

1. One of the main ones was misinformation at the initial meeting that may have impacted our decision had we known the truth. We are planning an extension to our house next year and the water tank was to go somewhere temporarily and then move to the extension once completed. We were told at the initial meeting that this is a cheap enough job to do. Then 4 days before the install and was due the install manager informed us this was actually about £3000. Not cheap at all in my book and caused us anxiety trying to make last minute changes to where the tank was going.

2. There were a few of the old pipes left sticking up out of the floor from the old radiators. I managed to spot a couple before the lads left so they could remove them but I have since found another small one poking up since the work was completed. Might not seem like much but when we have a 2 year old daughter running about that’s actually quite dangerous. There was also random open ended wires left hanging in the kitchen close to the sink where the old gas boiler was, which while we guessed they mustn’t be live, we didn’t want to test that out. Thomas was great to sort them when he was back for another job.

3. One of the new radiators added to the upstairs bedroom was placed infront of one of our plug sockets. I have since been in touch and they are coming back to move the plug, but I thought that was a bit of a strange thing to do in the first place.

4. Quite a lot of packaging/general rubbish left lying around in our front garden after the work was completed

Despite a couple of issues above, we’d like to thank the whole team for their work in making our heating future better for the planet and better for my young family as a whole.

Excellent job by GEG .Had solar panels and battery's fitted wasn't sure about doing it but glad I made the switch now. The scaffolders and the guys who fitted the roof panels Thomas and David all done a brilliant job. Joe who came out to do the survey aswell so thanks.

The company was terrific from start to finish. From the initial visit from Dan the consultant to the installers who did an excellent job, and to Lynne in the office who answered all the silly questions, thanks for everything

What made our experience so good was the patience and empathy from all the amazing staff i talked to. Their communication skills and knowledge were second to none. Thanks all for your help in putting this together.

The process from the initial consultation, through back-office procedures (payment, certification etc.) to installation was seamless, professional and helpful. The final courtesy call from Laura rounded off a great overall experience.

A particular shout out for the two teams of installers, the sparks and the roofers who were ever so helpful in explaining everything and handling the most stupid of questions.

Really happy with the support I received from Greener Energy. There were a few issues after the initial installation, but once I raised them, the team got in touch quickly, visited my property, and sorted everything out professionally. The system is now running well, and I’m seeing the benefits. Appreciate the effort they made to follow through and make sure everything was working as it should. Great customer service in the end!

A really professional job all round Richard and mate installing panels and not forgetting Alan on the scaffolding. Then on the second day Robert and calum the electricians had some issues but overcame them explained all the workings of the systems. Cheers Laura
