Gravy projected 30-60% recovery rate of failed payments through personalized email outreach.
Gravy reported a recovery rate of 21% in month one (or 218 customers retained) - which is outstanding!
However....only half of the reported customers retained visited the link shared in the outreach emails.
Only half of those customers who visited the payment profile link mentioned above actually updated their payment method on file.
Our company increased the failed payment retry count from 4 - 8 at the beginning of the cooperation with Gravy and immediately saw an increase in successful charges on attempts 5-8.
The increase in retry attempts on failed charges is what effectively boosted the recovery/retention rate.
Based on the data analysis, we can only confidently credit Gravy with a 1.2% recovery rate.
Would not recommend.
