no sunglasses ☹️

Paid £75 for a pair of sunglasses that I never saw , tried emailing them every day and had no response. Ended up contacting my credit card company for a refund. Stay away is my advice ☹️

Appalling Communication, order not received.

As a previous customer I was aware of their long lead times. But my most recent order, placed on 21 Aug 18, has had only one update from the company to explain a supplier issue, received 18 Sep 18. Irrespective, they charge your account for the full amount. Their communication/'contact us' options are unresponsive, the information regarding orders not forthcoming, and their order status' uninformative. Only yesterday, once I presented them with my intent to seek a chargeback via my credit card company, a poor review online, and to report them to the UK European Consumer Centre (www. ukecc. net/contact-us/) did I receive a response that they were actioning a refund for my order. This is 3.5 months after my initial order.

I have no trust in this organisation, their sales technique is dishonest and their management of customer expectation is inadequate. I would urge other shoppers NOT TO SHOP WITH THIS RETAILER, until they can prove unequivocally that their supplier issue is resolved and they have made substantial improvements in their customer facing services.

Tried and Tested... but now best avoided.

I've used these guys before and although delivery has been slow the product as always been good. Obviously something very wrong now. Order placed 4 months ago and still no glasses. No reply to emails or messages requesting an update and no response to a request for cancellation/refund.
Avoid using.

Appalling company

Glasses paid for in July. It's now December and no glasses and no refund despite numerous requests. At best they have zero customer service and at worst they are total frauds. Do not let them have your money

A bunch of charlatans

No glasses, no response to numerous emails.

Avoid this company like the plague, can’t believe they are still trading.

At least refund was provided by credit card company in rapid time after raising complaint.

The worst company ever - do not trust.

The worst company ever! This company is a scam. I ordered a pair of sunglasses early July only never to receive them. Even when I cancelled my order within the legal cancellation period, nothing happened.
I never got my money back and I never received the sunglasses.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!
It is of no surprise to me that there isn't even a phone number under their contact on the website.
It was my worst online shopping experience ever!

STAY AWAY FROM GRANOPTIC AT ALL COSTS!! I WAS ROBBED.

Like so many others on this site, I have been ROBBED by Granoptic.

I ordered a set of frames, which, according to the website, were "In Stock". So they immediately took my money and I received an email saying the item would arrive in 11-18 working days. So far, so good.

One month passed and nothing happened, no frames, no information. So I tried to contact them by email. I was told the item was, in fact, NOT "In Stock". But of course I could always choose something else from the catalogue. Of course, I demanded a full refund immediately.

And that's the last I heard from Granoptic!

AVOID!!!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. YOU MAY LOSE MONEY

Bought sunglasses a couple years back which hadnt been dispatched on time. I called and eventually got through after 3 weeks, and they said their was an issue with their supplier. Funny enough received glasses following week.

Bought sunglasses again this August. Should’ve learnt my lesson. Hadn’t arrived by end of October, and I was constantly emailing and trying to call to no avail. I got an automated email in October about an issue with supply, but they did not respond when I replied asking for a refund. In the end I complained to the European retail commission, and then to my bank, in order to get my £86 pounds back at the end of November.

Do not buy - from what I’ve read this is standard. Fraudulent company

3 months and still no frames or feedback

I ordered frames on 18 August 2018, paid and the only update on my orders list is that the order arrived at the manufacturer on 20 August and that is where it has stayed. I emailed Granoptic in September and did get a reply that the manufacturer was experiencing shortage of stock and that Granoptic generally do not reply to emails as they are inundated with them, this tells me that too many customers are not getting their orders. If you are not a Spanish citizen or don't live in Spain I would recommend not dealing with this company. No follow up from them and who knows when i will see my order or a refund which I am going to try to get next.

Do not order

An order was placed in May 2018, the product was not as expected, so these were returned very quickly, following the procedure and within 14 days.

I was told that I would receive a refund within 14 days, it is now November 2018 and after countless emails (over 20) and a complaint to the EU trading standards, only today have I had a reply. Telling me that my emails were in the spam folder (even though I was replied to when sending the glasses back)

I have been told that refunds can take months, which I think is ridiculous, they are quick enough to take the payment, and after working in retail I know that this is a lie.

Avoid this company as they still owe me nearly 100gbp.

Thief

I ordered two sunglasses on 5th of Aug. and now 20th of Nov. without sunglasses in my hands!!! It's been already almost 4 months!
I am preparing documents to receive money back through the credit card company. What a thief!

Switch method

I have experienced the same as the…

I have experienced the same as the other reviewers - I ordered my sunglasses in August. I have received one generic email saying they have had a problem with their supplier. I asked for an update and have had no response. I've now asked for a full refund of the amount I paid: £71.13. Order ref: 612851. I also was very annoyed when I made the purchase as I had compared the price with other web companies; Gran Optic were slightly cheaper so I made the order only to be caught out by a Euro conversion rate which then changed the overall price to more than the competitor, but by that time it was too late.
I worry that I will not get a refund or the glasses now.

Three months after my order I still don't have my sunglasses, and they dont respond to request to get my money refunded. I am afraid that I will never see my 150 euro ever again. What a bunch of thieves.
